Review Olivella's - Fort Worth

This is a very partial review, since I have only tried a couple of items in the menu. The pizza is indeed good (and this is coming from an Italian.) But please stop adding pesto to the bruschetta! Don't get me wrong: The pesto itself tasted good; it just doesn't belong with fresh tomato and mozzarella - not in Italy, at least. Very friendly staff at the Fort Worth location; fluffier pizza right outside the SMU campus. I definitely recommend a visit, if you're looking for a good pizza.

Service was amazing! Family Owned! Chicken Pesto Margherita Pizza was delicious!! Thin crust!! Beautiful cute spot!!

This is definitely a hidden gem on Camp Bowie!!! The food was fantastic and we can't wait to come back for dinner or just to sit at the bar for cocktails and pizza!!

Olivella’s Pizza and Wine is an eclectic Italian restaurant located just off of Camp Bowie in the historic Cultural District of Fort Worth also known as the Bricks neighborhood. Easy to miss in its unassuming strip mall location, this little restaurant was named Best Pizza in Texas by USA Today, the Best Pizza in Fort Worth by the Star Telegram, “The most incredible pizza you’ll ever eat” by Rachael Ray and voted the Best Pizza in Dallas by the Observer. Come for their brick oven baked bread, in house made Burrata and Mozzarella cheeses and their two styles of pizza: Pizza Napoletana and Pizza Romana. They also offer Happy Hour, daily specials, catering and private dining. Serving up salads, antipasti, classic pasta dishes, paninis, pizzas, sides and desserts, the back of the menu is reserved for beverages and an extensive wine list available by both the glass or bottle. Our order: My aunt ordered the Primavera Salad with mixed greens, goat cheese, apple slices, cranberries and a coconut balsamic dressing that I would order by the gallon of it were an option! We split a large Snow White pizza with mozzarella, ricotta, oregano, garlic and olive oil. I couldn’t quit dipping it in the Coconut dressing! My half of the pizza also arrived with truffle oil which I highly recommend! It was so delicious that I’ve thought about the pizza since I left and highly recommend! Pros: To my surprise, there were very few people there when we went for lunch which made for great service! The front of the restaurant looks like an old wine cellar with brick walls and ceiling tiles. Bistro tables, greenery and combination booth/chair tables are the seating options. A beautiful bar top is available for anyone who prefers to eat at the bar. Pros: This restaurant is located in a strip mall set up, so the parking it literally off of Camp Bowie. Amazing service was reinforced when I took my husband back 2 weeks later and the manager handed him a free business card with a complimentary Meatball appetizer for his next visit. Awesome place!

Great addition to the Camp Bowie area! I cannot speak highly enough about this place! Great atmosphere, great service and amazing food! It was packed and had a short wait but they were quick and efficient. Food was amazing! Pizza and tortellini are to die for! Can't wait to come back and try more! The person next to us ordered the meatball appetizer and it looked amazing! Definitely on my list of things to try! Finished everything off with a cannoli that was wonderful!

I was told about this establishment by a friend and they did not steer me wrong. It's a cozy inviting atmosphere which is great but the real strength of Olivella's is their amazing food. Everything we got was well developed and tasty. Many of their combinations are complex which lends to surprising and pallet pleasing flavors. Will be back and refer others.

I loved this place. Amazing pizza and a really good charcuterie board. Nice place for a quick and easy date. We ordered the Bufala Doc and Regina Margherita pizzas. Both were great, but the Regina was more cheesy and had better flavor (because of the grana padano cheese on it). I also tried the tiramisu. It was good, but not the best I’ve tried. I’ll definitely be back for the pizza and service, though!

So. Freaking. Amazing. Everything, from the starters to the pizza to the dessert was fantastic. We went with a half and half Black Truffle and Margarita pizza. Both were amazing. They had such wonderful depths of flavor. The sauce on the Margarita side was delectable. We will be returning!

Oh. Em. Gee. Where has this place been all my life?! Probably the closest I've had to authentic Italian pizza. We ordered the classic pepperoni pizza, the veggie pizza, and the margherita pizza. All of it was gone. So so good. We dined in and it was very intimate seating as there is only 4 tables inside. Music and decor really set the vibes. I could totally imagine having a nice date night at this place. I will definitely come back again for more!

Really great. First time eating there and very impressed. Owners/managers are constantly walking around to ensure everyone is being taken care of properly. I think our server was Carrie or something similar and she was great, very knowledgeable and sweet. Clean place with great food and reasonable prices. We will be going back!

A go to when you want a great meal and a simple relaxed night out. The salads are all wonderful and easily serve two. The pizza selection is unique and a great mix of flavors. We really enjoy the Dream pizza.

It’s our second tone here! Pizza OUTSTANDING! Like in Italy 😊 loooove pizza here , good choice of wine, and great atmosphere! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I come here every time I want an amazing pizza 🍕 I have had many pizzas around the world and this place has my favorite pizza . I come here often for a cheese and pep with Alfredo sauce and spinach leafs . If you love pizza you can eat one whole solo so you may need to order multiple for the group as the standard pizza feeds 1-2 . It’s a little pricey ,but the pizza is just too good for me to pass up. My pictures don’t due justice from my long commute home but I promise it’s worth a try.

I delayed going here for a month after hearing great news about Olivella’s Pizza and Wine. Came in with high expectations and they delivered! The pizza was better than expected. My friend and I shared The Dream Neapolitan style. It was a well balanced pizza, toppings wasn’t overwhelming, works well together, I could taste all of the flavors! The crust was crispy, light, and not greasy at all. The atmosphere was authentic and relaxing. Simple and modest. Big storefront allowed plenty of natural light. Friendly and inviting people behind the counter and kitchen. David was great, enjoyed his service and enthusiasm. Looking forward to return with friends.

Our first time at the new location. Ruth was our wonderful server who was spot on with recommendations. We got a Caesar salad to share and the Roman Style hot Soppresatta and sausage. Too stuffed for dessert so we took a tiramisu home. We both had a glass of wine so that bumped our bill up but everything was delicious.

I love the atmosphere! What a charming place and location. It is my new favorite place. The thin crust pizza (The Della Carne) was delicious! The staff is super friendly and it was nice to see hard working staff, which seems rear these days. I am looking forward to exploring the menu.

Moved to the Weatherford area a year ago. It's been a year of Papa John's and meh Italian trying to find a legit Italian joint to satisfy our high expectation cravings. Saw the annual pizza ranking competition going on and decided to give Olivella's a try. OMG...are we glad we did! Tried the Burata salad- clean, fresh pesto over fresh burata with peppery arugula. Delicious! Also had an app order of meatballs. Tender, flavorful al forno with a homemade rustic marinara. Again, home run. We had a Metro Rustica and Margherita. Literally the best pizza I've ever eaten. Perfect Neopalitan style pie. The crust was flavorful and perfectly thin without being overworked. The fresh mozzarella was placed directly on the crust and sauce was lightly placed on top of the cheese with the toppings. The result was a perfectly cooked, non-soggy pizza with the appropriate amount of toppings. It seems a lot of reviewers want gluttonous amounts of toppings- that would only detract from the quality of work here (go to Pizza Hut if that's what you're looking for)...FYI, they have a crazy BOGO from 3-5 pm on their Metro Pizzas! We finished with their housemade Tiramisu. First off, I'm not a Tiramisu fan. Well, I wasn't before trying Olivella's! Super flavorful without being overt, non-soggy without being dry. Just the right size to finish a meal. Given the opportunity, I could've eaten a piece as big as my head! Not knowing what to expect going in, I was surprised to see how small and quaint the place was. But after glancing around, it was very quick & easy to see the quality of work that was taking place here. Plus the smell alone was enough to drive you nuts...in a good way. We were greeted by the manager, who took the time to explain the nuances of their food & wine and how the little Camp Bowie store came to be. Both he and his other server were extremely personable and attentive to my wife and I the entire meal. We didn't lack for anything. To top it off, the price was completely reasonable as far as we were concerned. 2 Metro pizzas, 1 house salad, 1 Burata salad, appetizer meatballs, 2 beers and 1 Tiramisu...$61. I was literally expecting $80 to $90. We will DEFINITELY be returning customers. Oh, and we're driving 35-40 minutes for this opportunity...THANK YOU Olivella's for returning my faith in finding true, legitimate Italian cooking!! *Update: we took a good amount of the pizza home. Reheated pizza can sometimes be a nasty mess. NOT THE CASE HERE! By heating in a non-stick skillet on the stove top over a medium heat, the slices heated evenly and perfectly. They returned to their perfect chew without becoming cracker-like. The toppings tasted as fresh as the night before. This is a win-win all the way around. Thank you, again, Olivella's!!!

We finally found our pizza place! Delicious thin, freshly made pizza😊 Lasagna all gone as evidenced by my clean plate. We have been back twice since then. Superb!
