Being half Korean and growing up with authentic korean cuisine, I am always wary of restaurants that serve korean food. The food was amazing. It is just like my mom's cooking. Korean or not, food that reminds you of mom is always the best! Hands down the best Korean restaurant in Fort Worth!
Best of the best. I truly enjoy every time I visit this place. Great kimchi and Bulgogi. Amazing staff.
The food is always great as well as the service. We love this place.
This place is simply amazing. Delicious food, friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere! This is my go-to place with my wife! Bulgogi, Jeyuk-gui, and all sorts of delicious choices! I highly recommend that you try it at least once - you'll be hooked!

Great food & great service! Never disappointed with our food!🤠🤠🍱🍜🍚
Great place to eat amazing food good service. We will be back!
For a picky eater, this has great Korean food!! Love it!
Always friendly and welcoming staff. Great food in a timely manner. I've dined in and had take-out.
The kimchi pancake and kimchi fried rice are amazing
Tasty authentic Korean food with amazing service. Delicious meals just like you'd get in Seoul. The only fault: no service button on the table like you would find in Korea, but the wait staff is so pleasant and helpful, it's not a real problem. I look forward to dining here again very soon.
Excellent food and service!
Best Korean food ever! Love the Bulgogi and the kimchi pancakes!

Great little family owned business and fantastic food!!
Authentic and excellent Korean food. My 2nd. time there and will return again.
I worked at Korean Airlines in Los Angeles...And La is a melting pot of cultures with some of the best food in the world.I was there for 20years so I am sure I went to some of the finest Korean restaurants heck I even went to Korea...however this is the only place I have found here that compares to the quality of Korean food available in texas. I have been to some very very expensive restaurants and they give you very little food for such an overpriced value..THis place has the best Korean food available on this side of dallas.I guarantee it...I love the service and the prices are reasonable. Its like finding the best hole in the wall type of place..hidden away...its awesome and you will be completely satisfied leaving...it really is the best I have found
Amazingly good and authentic Korean cuisine.. Now one of my favorite lunch spots. True you wouldn't visit for the decor but the great food and friendly staff more than make up for it. A wonderful hidden treasure for Fort Worth. Highly recommended.
Good food, reasonable prices, service a bit slow and decor a little tired.. I had a regular-sized bulgogi $9.99 and a Korean beer $4.00. The food was very good and the portions seemed generous to me. I ate it all, left stuffed, but with the addition of an appetizer it would have been plenty for two. There were six of those little plates of vegetables that typically come with bulgogi. Everything was flavorful and seemed fresh (how do you tell how fresh kim chi is?). The food was prepared and presented with care.
Waitstaff was friendly, but a bit slow-moving. They seemed a little tired. It was late on a Friday and it looked like the restaurant had been busy.
I would be a regular if I lived in the area.
Best Korean I've had outside of Korea Town NYC! Excellent!
Fantastic!. Do I really need to say more?!
Loved it! Will definitely be back! My husband spent a year in Korea and said this was the best Bulgogi he has had.
OMGosh...Best Korean food ever!! Spicy pork bulgogi, steamed dumplings and Dolsot Bibimbop were wonderful. Our waitress, Boha was fantastic. My new favorite restaurant.
A Nice Change. This is one of my favorite places. When you're in the mood for something different, this is a great choice. If you've never had Korean food and don't know what to expect, I find the more common flavors include sour, spicy, salty and fishy flavors. It can be a bit of a surprise for some. I get the feeling the bibimbap is one of the more popular dishes and I can see why. For first-timers to Korean cuisine, the bibimbap is a safe choice- shredded, seasoned beef, vegetables and mushrooms over sizzling rice in a hot stone pot with an egg cracked over the top. I like to stir in the egg and let the bottom of the rice sizzle until it turns crunchy, then mix it all together with some chili sauce. The small side dishes accompanying every meal is called banchan- pickled slices of cucumber mixed with chili paste, steamed broccoli with chili sauce, thin slices of spicy fish cake, cold marinated beans sprouts and some sort of cubed root vegetable with chili paste. My favorites so far are the buchu gochujun- a savory 'pancake' with leeks and slices of jalapeno mixed in, a salty soy sauce based dipping sauce on the side. Yookgyaejang- beef based soup with a salty, spicy, slightly fishy broth with bean sprouts, shredded beef, gosari (bracken fern stems-thin, dark, string-like stems) and skinny glass noodles. I also love the spicy bulgogi. All the deep, fragrant, earthy flavors of Korean food have gotten me hooked. Order a Hite beer (light refreshing beer brewed from barley malt and rice) and you're set!
I'm absolutely in love with Korean food and this place was amazing! Great food, friendly staff! I'll definitely go there again, and soon! :)
The new young man working here is a wonderful addition! He's very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Still a favorite for me!
Good stuff. I had a good experience here. Good Korean food people, and I'm glad we have it in Fort Worth. Still, I might like Korea House BBQ better - better kimchi, sides, and a nicer atmosphere.
I don't understand why this place is quiet. The food is incredible. By far one of my best eats yet.
Finally, good Korean food in FW. I am glad i no longer have to drive to Dallas for good Korean food. Ma shee soy yo!
Don't miss it. This is seriously the place to beat. I live in Arlington and used to hate that I had to travel to Dallas for some K-deliciousness until I discovered Samwon Garden in Ft. Worth only 10 minutes away from my house. It is owned by a very nice couple who are always very friendly. I'm pretty regular there and the food is consistently good. The soondubu jigae, especially when made by the owner, is perfect. The doengjang jigae is delicious, the spicy bulgogi is seriously a work of art, the yangnyum galbi (make sure you ask for the fixings of lettuce, garlic, and doengjang (soybean paste) on the side) is awesome. Those are my most regular orders, but I've had almost everything else on the menu and nothing has disappointed me.
As with all Korean restaurants, each meal comes with various side dishes that are all pretty good. And if you hang around long enough, they'll bring you a complimentary piece of watermelon for dessert.
The food is pretty quick but most of the other service is a bit slow. I don't particularly mind, but if you need more of something, the waiter or waitress will be nearby.
Also, as of recently, everyone who works there is pretty limited in their English-speaking, but they understand enough to take your order, answer your questions, and have little conversations.
This place is ok to good at best. As a former korean resident, i was happy to see that we had some korean restaurants, reminiscent of the good ole rok. this place gives you the basics, but it is not that good. i would say a low b. they are friendly. i only eat here when i don't feel like making the trek to carrollton or dallas. as far all of the food you get, any korean restaurant gives you side dishes. it is a pre-req and our custom to serve panchan.
fort worth's korean restaurant population is going to double soon, as i drove by a restaurant on bryant irvin... but i have no idea when it will open or what the name is. it is kind of by academy in that area.
Authentic homestyle cooking, like my mother's, only better (sorry Ma), because there are subtle flavors and spices that only professional chefs bother with. Since Mom no longer cooks for me, I'm always scoping for authentic Korean food, and this restaurant is it.
Nice and clean restaurant. The bulgogi is good as are the side dishes. I will be back to try the rest of the menu.
Samwon is amazing Korean food. We have been visiting this restaurant for years and we are never disappointed. The Jungol’s are amazing as are the bbq tables. Everything we have ordered here has been fantastic. The lemon tea is amazing!
This was my first time at a Korean grill, basically there is a grill in the center of the table, they serve several already cook sides, and provide raw meat that you have to grill. The experience was great, I especially appreciate the grill is charcoal and not gas. The side dishes were delicious, the service great, with explanations and suggestions, the environment was good, but is evident it had better days
Stopped in for a solo dinner on a rainy night. The atmosphere is comforting as is the warm spicy food. They offer so many types of complementary banchan all excellent.
Went old school today after gym with the boy. Had a delicious Korean lunch. Very authentic tasting. Very friendly staff.
Probably the best Korean I've had and the best in Fort Worth. Hole in the wall korean restaurant that me and friends loved. Had bulgogi and galbi ribs.
Even though they were short staffed, the food was excellent and reminds me of Korean food I love. The side dishes are to die for and change with the seasons. I would also recommend the kimbop, the veggies in it are awesome. Like a little party in your mouth.
Great place to eat! Local’s secret. Some of the best authentic Korean Food in Fort Worth! They sell their homemade Kimchi to take home with you as well. Great prices food is great! The sides are delicious, rice has good texture. Servers are very attentive and friendly. 👍🏻 check it out!
Yummy 🤤 my first Korean restaurant since I’ve moved here. Don’t hesitate to come visit Samwon Garden. Reasonably priced and authentic Korean food!
This place went above my expectations I initially had for it. It ended up in a coin toss gone wrong that pushed me here but it lived up to all of the positive reviews posted about it.
Right off the bat, friendly staff and good atmosphere. The waitress answered my questions and gave me some suggested items that were commonly ordered. She also told me about the barbecue pit in the middle of the table which I'll be trying next time I visit.
Afterwards, I ordered the B6 spicy pork and the 7 piece fried dumplings. Dumplings came in first and were delicious. Not too fried and not too crunchy. I also tried the egg rolls and those extremely delicious as well. Highly recommend both of them. Next I tried the spicy pork and the plate was almost overfilling with food. Good food and was actually spicy as advertised. The sides they brought in were all new to me but we ate them all entirely. Cucumber, radish, potato, kimchi, green bean, and more. Each delicious.
10/10 🌟 and I will be back.
Had to create another account for another review. I found this little gem of a restaurant about a month and a half ago, this place is so good I now go every other Saturday. Ask for an extra bowl of their side dish potatoes, amazing.
My wife and I have been here a bunch of times, and have always enjoyed it. I normally get the duk mandu guk or dolsot bibimbop, and I'd recommend both. My wife normally orders the jaeyook kimchi bokum (jaeyook kimchi tofu) and we also get the kimchi pancakes. My wife is a kimchi critic and she likes their kkakdugi and their potatoes.
The service is friendly and we've never had to wait to be seated.
Every time I come to Ft. Worth, I always make a trip here to get a Japchae order! My son has food sensory issues, but all the food, including the veggies, tastes so great he never has any issues and always asks for more!!!! I truly love this place because you can tell everything is the 'homemade' type of food and not last minute heat up in the microwave junk. The marinade they use for their L.A. Galbi is homemade and to die for!!!!! The waitress said it has been passed down from generation to generation in their family. How amazingly it tastes that doesn't surprise me one bit! If I could, I would eat here every day!
I like their location. Whenever I work around the south side of the town, they are my first choice.
The atmosphere and service was awesome. We had the korean bbq and the spicy beef bigolbi. The flavor was spot on! The appetizers and drinks were so good. Their fried dumplings are phenomenal!
Always very kind servers and the food is GREAT. I've had other bulgogi before at other places and they are nothing compared to SamWon. The price is affordable so much so that my family goes every week or so.
Between the amazing staff and delicious food, you can’t have a bad experience here! We drive from Cisco to visit the out of this world Sam Won Garden! ❤️
My personal favorites are the pan fried dumplings, spicy beef & pork bulgogi, with cucumber and potato 😍
authentic korean not overpriced. sometimes they give us special foods to try. its a little slow because they have a small kitchen but we dont mind
This place is awesome! Gives me that authentic Korean feel. I usually get the lunch menu bento box. Great deal and you get a taste of everything! Meat, rice, sides, and miso soup. If you want to do the hotpot you'll need at least 6 people in your party 🥳.
