I've literally never reviewed a restaurant before, but I was so impressed with the Los Vacqueros staff that I felt I needed to. The restaurant had empty tables at 7 on a Friday night, but we were told it would be a half hour wait, so I went up to the bar to get drinks. It took about 10 minutes to get a couple margaritas because the bar was absolutely slammed. When I turned around, the staff was setting up a table for my party while seating multiple large parties. During our meal, at least 8 different staff members, including the owner, checked in on us, refilled our chips/salsa without asking, asked if we needed anything else, etc. I have literally never seen a better trained staff. I ordered the Carne Asada and my parents ordered brisket tacos, and both were incredible, as was my margarita. I can't stress enough though, you won't find better service anywhere.

I wanted to take a minute to give a huge giant THANK YOU to Michael and his amazing staff for always taking care of us. He has catered all of my milestone events and is my caterer extraordinaire. He always goes the extra mile and adds a personal touch. His staff was incredibly attentive and made my son's graduation party a success. Thank you again!!!!

All in all, a pretty good dining experience, although a bit pricey for lunch specials and not somewhere I’d go if I were in a rush. The salsa is a great starter: good texture, good flavor, good spice. They cleverly give you a jar, so you have a refill, and the chips were crisp and fresh, so the wait wasn’t too unpleasant. I was prepared to be a little annoyed after waiting around for my order (which to be fair was only 20-25 minutes... but for one person on a Tuesday at 1:30?), however any frustration I had all but went away when I tasted the food. The Rotisserie Tequila Chicken Tacos melt in your mouth and the green sauce is addictive. The beans had a great flavor and texture, and the squash medley was surprisingly flavorful. After delightfully slipping into a slight food coma, I waited about another 10 minutes for my waitress to bring my check. Great food. I guess reasonably priced for the quality. Slow service. At least that day.

Nice little low key spot near TCU. Limited parking but great atmosphere. The salsa was amazing and the enchiladas were ok. The food was delivered quickly, hot, and fresh. Waitress was very attentive and informative which is definitely a plus. If you plan on going on Sunday keep in mind they close at 3pm.

The customer service was amazing. Haven't experienced that in a while. The food was even better. And to top it of with a strawberry sopapilla. 😋 yummy!! I will be back. The drive from ennis was worth every bit of it..

Los Vaqueros was the perfect spot for my husband's graduation dinner that was hosted there. I found the restaurant online and because of the positive reviews I read, I decided to give them a try. I called and spoke with the manager, Mr. Jimmy Martinez, and he took care of every detail for the occasion. We were able to reserve the sun room in the back and we had plenty of space for the guests. Guests were able to order from the menu themselves and there was plenty of chips and salsa to go around (which was really delicious, by the way). John was the staff member who took care of our dinner and he, along with the other two staff members, were excellent. He went above and beyond to make everyone happy with their orders and with their time in the restaurant. I appreciated his hospitality and for being such a gracious host while we were there. He managed to take care of us and tend to other customers without any of us feeling neglected. The food was great and my husband wants to visit again real soon. This was my first time ever visiting a Los Vaqueros location, and I must say, taking that step of faith paid off! Kudos to you guys for making my husband's dinner a success. We look forward to our next visit!

We love coming to Los Vaqueros, especially at TCU location. The food is always awesome, the wait staff are also very personable and accommodating. Laura was our server and she was outstanding as we never had to wait to get a fresh bowl of chips and salsa and our food came out hot and so good! We come here regularly and will continue to do so.

Was staying in TX on a business trip, and this is the best Mexican restaurant I've ever had. The staff was friendly, and the owners—Vicki and Johnny—are one of the nicest people I've met. They both went above and beyond for their guests and it shows. Los Vaqueros was so good, I went back three times during my visit! I had the Johnny Bowl, enchiladas, and the fajitas—all were amazing! The guacamole was the freshest, creamiest, and most flavorful guac I've ever had! Well done Los Vaqueros!

A very detailed menu with wide selection. The restaurant has a professional staff and priced to be competitive near a University. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, and food. The drink selection, and mix is excellent. Very attentive waiter, with personality. Hopefully they franchise.

Great Mexican food for a good price. They also have some great drink specials during happy hour. Very glad that this place has opened up. No more having to drive to the stockyards. The parking can be a little difficult if they're super busy. You also need to be careful when crossing the street. Some of the collage kids don't pay attention while driving around. However the food and drinks make it worth it.
