As a Chicagoan, I can say this was truly special! The food was delicious! I can’t say better than Chicago! But I can say that they are the closest I’ve had to compare! I give them a 9.5/10⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great experience at Tex’s Star Grill. Diverse menu, friendly staff, ample parking spaces and outdoor seating is comparably comfy because the stone benches have cushions. Very good the Reuben sandwich, Gyros, Greek Salad and homemade sauce are amazing!

Tex's Star Grill is a gem! The food is beyond fantastic; I've never tasted onion rings and fries this delicious. The owner's personal touch, checking on customers, adds a special touch. The entire staff is incredibly friendly. A must-visit for a top-notch dining experience!

Solid 4. Onion rings were so-so. Large but no flavor. Needs a dipping sauce. Fries were decent but needed ketchup. Greek salad was great with large strips of gyro meat. Golden burger with pastrami was spot on as was the chili burger. Have yet to try the rest. But will return when in the area.

This place is awesome! 1st, it's CLEAN! No bugs or flies at all. 2nd the staff was super friendly and helpful. I always appreciate it when I ask for a recommendation they actually have something to recommend! Get the Golden burger combo. Pastrami on a hamburger!

We have been on the hunt for Chicago Style hot dogs and a good gyro since we moved to Texas. Tex's did not disappoint! We also appreciate all the Chicago sports gear on the walls! Go Cubs!

You won’t be disappointed, the food and service is great! We eat there regularly as we work down the street.
They have the best burgers and onion rings! I also love their grilled chicken Greek salad!

If I could give a higher score, I would.
I went and placed a very large to-go order. The owner greeted me upon entry. Although I fumbled through ordering making multiple changes to every combo ordered.
The cashier easily and patiently managed entering the order. Explained any extra charges for upgrade and was very gracious in her demeanor. She was very knowledgeable of the menu items and made great suggestion along the way.
I was getting the drinks when the owner offered to get a box for the drinks and food so it was easier to transport home.
As I then waited for my food, watching the grill team hammer through multiple orders. It was really quite impressive to watch. Great teamwork!
Before I knew it my large to-go order was done quickly. Surely they missed something?
Everything (even though complex) was as ordered, cooked perfectly and amazingly packaged separately by entree/sides/condiments and desserts.

Love this restaurant. The owner is cool always making customers feel welcomed. Food is excellent (tried almost everything on the menu) cooked fresh to order and always hot. Cost went up a little bit but still comparable to local places to feed a family of 3 so I'm not complaining 😊 quick service and nice employees there and an always clean restaurant!
