The food was delicious! The Seafood Fondue appetizer and crab legs were to die for! I highly recommend these dishes and the Texas Hurricane. Our server was very polite and helpful. I would definitely go there again.

Great place to eat. We sat at bar and Katie was excellent. She explained menu and even helped me learn the best way to eat blue crabs. Happy hour apps were great. Shrimp egg roll with great sause. They have a dog friendly patio, just call to make sure it's open. Mgr Landon was kind to help me with info on cooking crabs in a boil. Wonderful service and food.

When we make our way to Ft Worth, we make a point to come to this restaurant. We first came here in February on my father's birthday while my mother/his wife was having surgery at Baylor Surgical. We were greeted warmly and the service was great. I had the oysters good felllas and they were so good I remember them even now. Cheered us up when we were stressed. I had a lobster tail yesterday there that was tender and flavorful and my lemon drop martini was on happy hour.

We visited for the first time 2 weeks ago for my husband's birthday. Absolutely wonderful service, impecable food and we had a great evening. We visited again last night. Lea was the perfect waitress, and we enjoyed oysters, calamari, crab claws and a very nice pinot. Blu Crab has quickly become our favorite spot for a relaxing evening and great food !!!

Went for my best friend and mine’s birthday dinner. We both had crab legs, food was excellent. Our server, Adeline was a sweetheart. Overall, a very pleasant experience and will be going back soon.

First time visiting a few weeks back , I had shrimp and sausage pasta it was really good. Place was a empty when we went around 6 but started picking up . Staff was very friendly and the the music was good

Fantastic night!. Our first (definitely not our last) time to eat here was fantastic!
The waitstaff and managers were very attentive, but not intrusive. The food was excellent and in more than ample portions.

Best Crab Legs Ever!. I ordered the snow crab boil with the flaming spices and garlic butter. It was fantastic and cooked perfectly so the meat came out of the shell in one perfect piece. We also had the oysters which were small, which is how I prefer them, and sweet! Going back for more soon.

First thing is service was excellent, we were greeted at the door and where seated promptly even thought we had a larger party. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgable. The food came rather quick and all together for a party of nine. It's was my mother in laws birthday and they gave her a creme brulee on the house. Food was excellent and it puts some of the eateries from my home town (LakeCharles, Louisiana) to shame. I was impressed and will be back!

Management was very nice and service was quick and friendly! Doc was our waiter and was very attentive and helpful. Food was a little overpriced and about the same quality as pappadeaux with smaller portions. other than that, it was a great experience! We will be back!

Went and had the happy hour menu. Fish tacos are excelent also the fried shrimp rolls and Seafood rolls were fantastic. The Gumbo was spiced perfectly and our 4 year old had a wonderful alfredo dish from the kids menu. Sit outside on a nice evening!

Yum!. Stoppped in for lunch after church with a few friends. Great fish tacos. My friends ordered the gumbo, wedge salad, seafood bruschetta, and mahi mahi burger... Very tasty!! Everything tasted fresh and homemade. They are building an awesome patio outback. Construction should be done soon. Can't wait to go again!

Blu Crab - Non seafood lover review. OH my goodenss, I have nothing negative to say!

Everything was delicious, and I hate seafood! I was drug here by my boyfriend who adores crawfish and had heard they had a mean crawfish platter.

They have such an extensive menu and everything looked good for those that like seafood. They also have a couple of options for non-seafood lovers. I got the filet mignon (it's bacon wrapped) with asparagus and cheesy grits!

Oh man those grits. I crave them on the regular. That filet was perfectly cooked and did I mention wrapped in bacon? Even the asparagus was grilled to perfection!

My boyfriend said the crawfish were just as good as a seafood restaurant by the coasts. I guess that's saying something.

PLEASE EAT HERE. It's wonderful and you won't regret it.
Happy hour I believe is 3-6. Cheap drinks and cheap seafood.

Great Food, Not So Great Service. This was our first time here. My daughter loves crab so I thought we would give it a try. We got a pound of Dungeness crab, a pound of shrimp, and half pound of the sausage. Everything was awesome!! My daughter said it was some of the best crab she has ever had. The shrimp were huge and I was not expecting that, plus they tasted so fresh! We had the mild season and the full Monty put on it. My daughter loved the huge amount of garlic but I was not a fan of it. I loved the sausage but my daughter thought it was a little too spicy. I was a little disappointed that there were only two small potatoes, I expected at least four. We got a cup of the crab and asparagus soup. It was good but the price, $6.00, was a lot for such a small amount of soup. Maybe it was that way because of the crab in it. My daughter liked it but would have loved it if there were larger chucks of crab instead of the small flaky pieces. That being said the service was not all that great. I asked for lime with my water and got lemon. We asked for straws about three times and finally got them on the third time. I had to ask for more napkins and wet wipes, which took forever and we just ended up going to the bathroom and washing our hands. We dined a little early for dinner, 3:00 PM, and there was only one waiter for the whole restaurant. So when people came in for the bar, he made their drinks before every submitting out order. I understand there only being one waiter at that time but they should have had a bartender as well. I think the waiter saw me watching him and made sure to put out order in before help more people. So overall I would give it 5 stars for the food but 3 stars for the service.

Lots of Potential. I was told they have been opened since March but they are still experiencing some growing pains. Very nice contemporary decor although still a bit sterile. Needs a little more "warmth". Food was REALLY good from appetizers to desserts. Defintely would go back for the food. Only glitch was the service...bartender very slow, inattentive, not friendly, etc. Had several different staff people from manager to host (who was the manager I think) to a couple of different waiters asking to take our order even after we HAD ordered, drinks came out wrong, never got refills on water, etc. so maybe they were just having a bad night service-wise or maybe they were short-handed like somebody didn't show up. Even with that said, I would still go back and try them again and hope service expectations had improved. Apparently they have live music later in the week which may take out the "sleepy" atmosphere, but regardless...the food was GOOD.

Hit or miss. It seems this place is hit or miss. Atmosphere is nice. Modern and stylish interior, full bar and friendly staff. Seafood bruschetta was really good, great flavors, but the only seafood we detected on it was shrimp. My husband had the fried catfish. Nothing special. Pretty standard, served with pre-cut, frozen fries. I ordered from the "BYO fish entree" section, choosing red snapper with a tarragon beurre blanc, cole slaw and grilled asparagus. My entree was excellent. Fish was cooked perfectly, sauce was amazing with fresh tarragon, roasted garlic cloves and flakes of blue crab. We also ordered a chocolate dessert that we should have skipped. A pre-made frozen dessert that while not bad, wasn't worth $9. As a side note, I'm not against pre-made, frozen items at a restaurant but I am when the prices are a bit higher like they are here. Overall, kinda pricey for what they offer. Seemed like they were scaling back on some of their dishes to lower food cost. My advice would be to skip anything you could get most anywhere else. With 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, total of 5 glasses of wine and a dessert, our bill was $103, which I consider to be pretty good but I'm on the fence with this place. On a 1-10 scale, I'd give this place a 6. Would love to see a trendy revamp of the menu.

Great food and atmosphere. The fish and shrimp were the freshest I've had for a long time. Good selection of fried, grilled and baked. Good service. Decent prices, especially for what you get. Will definitely return. Thanks FWWeekly for the suggestion!!

We just had lunch, and it was fantastic! The gumbo had just the right flavors, and you could even find seafood in it. We had the seafood shiskebobs with vegetables, and were pleasantly surprised that the grilled seafood was tasty, could be identified, and the vegetables were cooked just right. The server, Adam, was personable, and we would request him at our next visit. Go and enjoy the freshest seafood in Fort Worth.

What a pleasant surprise!. My colleague and I are NOT from Ft. Worth. We were on business and each night we would locate a new restaurant to try. We were both skeptical about the Blu Crab Seafood House and Bar but decided to go in at least for a glass of wine. To our surprise we totally felt comfortable and the service was excellent. I especially LOVED the shrimp chips that they serve you as you wait for your order. I am gluten Intolerant so I kept asking for assistance on the menu ideas. They were very helpful and very accommodating.
The dishes we ordered ( grilled tilapia) were excellent. I loved the sweet potato fries and the brocolli was fresh. Everything was fresh. We definitely will tell others about this place. Hope they open a place in Austin Texas.

Its sooo nice to finally have a seafood restaurant on this side of town!!! Food and service is great with friendly servers. I especially love the seared tuna appetizer!!! yummy!! The wasabi glaze is the delicious!! The crawfish and shrimp boil is spot on! Spicy but with just the right kick!! I cant wait to see what other new menu items they''ll be coming up with that the server was telling me. I'll be back for sure!

Best Gumbo in town!. We are originally from Louisiana and we know seafood. The gumbo we all had was piping hot and was full of huge chunks of seafood! So we dont know about the last guy that has nothing better to do then to bash a perfectly fine establishment. The waiter Justin was so on point and kept our drinks full and knew all about the menu and drinks, plus he made us feel like family. plus the manager Jodi I believe stopped by to welcome us and see if we were enjoying our evening. Impressive! We will definately all be there this week again for the seafood boils he recommended. Thanks Blu Crab

We went for brunch. The food and bottomless mimosas (a steady flow) were amazing. We had a variety of menu items from the char-grilled oysters to the chicken and waffles. If you’re hungry, definitely get chicken and waffles. We started with appetizers and I would highly refined the spinach and crawfish dip. Our waitress, Emma was very friendly. She was attentive and ensured we had all we needed. We felt extremely comfortable and the environment was great for friends catching up. I would hands down recommend this as a brunch location and I hear the happy hour is top tier.

Was a nice restaurant week dinner. Wife started with Chilled Sweet Corn and Blue Crab Soup. She said it was good and enjoyed. I started with the House Gumbo. It was also good with alot going on. It wasn't just a watery soup. Wife then had the Blackened Redfish which she enjoyed. I had the Tenderloin. It was good, but not sure it was worth the upcharge. Was done in the middle perfectly, however the outside sear was a bit tough and had a bit more burnt taste then I cared for. Wife finished with the Chocolate Mousse and I had the Keylime Pie. They were both very good. We did order the wine pairing, but it was never shared what the wines were. They tasted good, it would have been nice to know what we were drinking. Also, first pairing was a rose sparkling. Thought this was an odd pairing with the Gumbo. Overall service was good, however our server seemed new and needed to learn a bit (alot). I'd go back, but try to not sit near the bar and kitchen. Too much internal discussions that we heard and it was trafficked. Not sure if we were relegated here because of the Restaurant Week menu, but it felt a bit like the worst table in the place. Atmosphere was nice, but a bit dated.

We picked this restaurant as a last minute birthday dinner spot for my husband's birthday. I was just looking for a steak restaurant and we got way more than that. He's a big fan of raw oysters and these didn't disappoint. I love crab cakes and these were jam-packed with lump crab and the little (too small) dollop of sauce was wonderful. My husband got the sea bass, which was cooked to perfection with a nice crisp sear and a good portion of their sauce on top. I got surf and turf with lobster and filet and was very impressed. We also shared the mac n cheese, which was a good complement to the spice in the sauce on our meals. The service was good, but our appetizers didn't time together. It was a nice surprise to visit a newish seafood place in town that exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back.

We went for the Jazz Brunch on our anniversary and they had the best espresso martinis!! We were able to get substitutions to make the Steak & Eggs + Gumbo both gluten free and dairy free for our allergies. The staff was great with our allergies and even gave us complementary champagne for our anniversary. We made reservations in advance to listen to the live jazz on the patio and it was lovely.

The restaurant overall is really cute, but they sat us in the back where it felt like overflow which wasn’t decorated as nice and was cramped. Aside from that, this was our first time here celebrating our anniversary and it was wonderful! The staff were great and the food was REALLY good for the price points.The deviled eggs were out of this world good and my filet/crab cake combo was perfect. Really good portion sizes- just a great time overall. Will definitely be back

this place has water boys that refill your water when its half full just like don artemios! the scallops and blackened redfish were good, but the bananas foster banana pudding alone was worth going back for! theres a frozen layer of sugar over the espresso martini!

Fitzgerald's is one of Fort Worth's jewels! I always feel like a part of the family when I come there! I love the grilled oysters, shrimp BBQ, seafood pasta and so much more. You can't go wrong. Best place to throw parties and eat brunch!

Long time FW resident here highly recommending this restaurant for their customer service, food, and solid turnkey experience. I needed to find a place to host a group of 20 or so folks inside 1 week. When I called Fitzgerald, they made it so dang easy for me while also making sure every detail looked custom and preplanned. Their hostess stayed in contact with me the days before and essentially planned it all. I can’t thank them enough for all the ways they helped make the event happen. And the food was FANTASTIC.

Fitzgerald's has a lovely decor which makes it a nice place for a special occasion. I wasn't sure what to expect when we were seated as we didn't have a reservation and they seemed to imply we needed one even tho it was early and almost empty...but this place surpassed my expectations. Our waitress Carrie was the best - super attentive and fun! We really enjoyed everything from the hush puppies & jalepeno sausage appetizers to our main dishes. The shrimp and grits were excellent and my hubs really liked his roasted chicken & poblano cheese grits. When we told Carrie we were celebrating our upcoming birthdays she brought us a bananas foster pudding on the house. Try the Fitzgerald house cocktail with Nolets gin, it's bomb!

The Camp Bowie strip center location doesn't really telegraph the experience you will have once inside. We found the interior comfortable and understatedly elegant, the service impeccable, and the food really extraordinary. We tried the catfish and blackened redfish, the latter recommended by our waiter, Jason, who clearly knows the menu well enough to make useful suggestions. Service was unhurried, exactly what we were looking for while sharing dinner with close friends we hadn't been able to see for several weeks. We capped the dinner with a slice (rather, slab) of hummingbird cake that we split four ways, and still left some on the plates. Altogether a great restaurant experience that we will return to again!
