Always five star food and service, every time we go. A Lake Worth special place to dine.
Love this place! Friendly , fast, and lots of food when we order! Well worth the visit! Yum Yum!
Amazing home-cooked feel-good food. Great prices and wonderful people. You can tell the staff genuinely care for everyone and that the food is made with love. The country-fried steak was delicious and their baked goods are something to write home about.
Loved the amazing food, the cinnamon roll it was just amazing. We ordered some scrambled eggs with bacon, with a biscuit and gravy side... Very tasty and delicious. The small jukebox gives this place a very nice retro touch.
Definitely recommended.
We came in around 2:30 for a late lunch on Sunday, 11/12/23. Greeter was so friendly and nice, we sat in a booth and there were only a few other diners, but as we sat down, the table near us got a basket of YUMMY looking fried jalapeños, and we asked what those were… we decided to get those, and they came with buttermilk ranch that was freshly made. Crunchy, and just enough heat. Very large portion, so we decided on the small “lunch size” of the CFS.
I chose Okra & Mashed potatoes as my sides, and my husband got mashed potatoes and corn. His corn was sooo good. I know it’s just corn, but it was really really sweet, and not overly seasoned. Next time Im getting my own!
Big ol’ Ice Teas to wash it down!
Almost forgot, they gave us a basket of freshly baked yeast rolls with strawberry butter which came before the food. 😋
There is NO WAY you’ll have room for the monster cinnamon rolls so we packed them to go.
I did take a pinch of mine, and am looking forward to enjoying the rest of it in the morning with coffee. Good as always!
It was our server’s 73rd birthday, and she was headed to Bingo night down the road, and I hope she won big, she was SUPER sweet. Everyone was.
Ginger would be proud of the staff, and we hope she’s doing okay. 🙏🏼The new owners have a great staff, many of whom have been there over 30 years! It’s the same ol’ Ginger Browns, with that feeling that you’re family. 🥰
Now for a NAP!!
Nise place, old jukeboxes were a nice touch. I had the chicken fried steak, a bit small but good.
Even without the amazing cinnamon rolls, this is a great place to eat. The service is always excellent because the staff takes care of you like you’re family. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are mighty. If you like down-home, country cafe cooking, this is the place! The rolls and cinnamon rolls are MUST try items for sure!
I love food, and it was a lot. Good thing you are able to take it home. I was too scared to try the little jukebox by the table, in fear of it being too loud. The restroom is nice, single, so consider the time you take in there. If you ask for pickles with your burger, they will you give you a cup full of them. Ordered fried pickles as a entrée too, before knowing the size, and the basket was long, making about a half of the table. Very good waitresses and nice, the environment seemed lively, everyone was nice and I hope they have a good time serving people at this diner.
Let me start by saying the cinnamon rolls here are the best in Fort Worth. Hands down, amazing dough. The remainder of the menu is special too, they serve a classic diner style menu with breakfast and lunch. As you can see by the pictures, they aren’t shy and make sure you are well fed. Great value and wonderful service from the crew.
Ginger Brown's has the best tasting home cooked food 😋 It's all pretty much Comfort Food 😋. I Ordered one of the specials which was Chicken Fried Steak. Had that with Mashed potatoes and country gravy, black-eyed peas, and pinto beans. My husband had Fried Pork Chops with applesauce, and Fried squash. Our meals also came with Cinnamon Rolls that were hugh. When we first arrived at our table we were served warm Rolls and some sweet Cinnamon butter! OMG it was so good 👍 We put the orders in for 2 Bannana Puddings to take home with us. 🙂😋 You truly get alot of food and you will not leave hungry that's for sure! Our waitress was very nice. The hostesses and all the waitresses wore masks 😷. But customers were not required to wear them at all. Great service and hospitality! I would definitely recommend visiting
The restaurant opens at 5:30 and close sometime around 4pm. No dinner is served there. I will definitely be returning for my birthday November 4th 🥰
It's been a years since I've been here. Finally made it back today and will be back more often now that I live close by.
You can't get anything bad here. Just pick something that sounds good to you. You won't regret it and you won't leave hungry.
Don't forget to order some cinnamon rolls. I ordered them to-go because I couldn't eat another bite after that meal.
My chicken strips were very good but my Hubby's chicken fried steak was a little chewy/grizzly. The okra and beans were excellent especially with the hot relish they give you. Rolls and strawberry butter very good. Haven't tried the cinnamon rolls yet. You get a ton of food. We took home enough for another meal plus the rolls for breakfast. Service was perfect.
