My husband and I have been visiting The Oyster Bar regularly for the past 20 years. It is, hands down, my favorite restaurant in Ft. Wayne. Amazing appetizers (make sure to order the Louisiana BBQ shrimp or calamari that are not listed on the menu) and the features and entrees are always fresh, unique and delicious! Also, for an extra $2.00 you can get 1/2 of one entree and 1/2 of another which is FUN if you like to try different things or just can't make up your mind. My favorites and standbys are the smoked salmon appetizer, ahi tuna app, Oyster Bar Oyster Sampler Platter and there is nothing better when the weather is chilly than their Seafood Au Gratin entree! All entrees come with your choice of salad or soup (their house salad with their raspberry champagne vinaigrette and blue cheese crumbles is my fave) and a side. I love their broccoli or asparagus with hollandaise sauce for my choice of side. This is not just a seafood restaurant either. They have a full selection of steaks, chicken, lamb, pork and pasta entrees. I love the ambiance of The Oyster Bar. It's a very intimate restaurant and is a great place for a romantic meal or a lovely evening with family and friends. In the warmer months, you can be seated outside on their patio which is also a great option. The wait staff and bartenders are always TOP NOTCH! I have never had a bad meal nor poor service. Everything is always on point. If you've never eaten here, I highly suggest you try it! My husband and I are hooked for life!
We don't even live in Indiana but we have made The Oyster Bar a must when we are in the area. The staff, food and ambiance are Second to None. Chef Paul always was a Fresh and Creative menu!! If you're in the neighborhood, definately stop by, and if you're like me, drive the 2 hours. You will not be disappointed!!!
