Wonderful late lunch while on road trip from Tulsa to Hot Springs. Choose restaurant based on rating and reviews that others had already posted The staff seated us quickly and were attentive throughout the meal. We started with steamed dumplings with a savory sauce, which are definitely a repeat on our next trip through. Wife and I both choose Chicken Pad Thai. She went with no spice and was very happy with the flavors while I went with a medium heat and loved it. Wished I had took some pictures of the food to add.
Very good Thai. Place was very clean and tidy. Green curry bowl "4" hot was pretty spicy, in a good way. Combo fried rice was a winner.
This place understands gluten free will use GF sauces like tamari instead soy rice.
Will definitely return!

Love the combination fried rice. Everything else I have tried is delicious too but the rice remains my favorite with a Thai tea. Don't miss out on this experience!!!
The Pad Thai is sweeter than I'm prefer, but not too bad... The fried egg rolls were pretty good. Overall, not a bad place to stop when driving through Fort Smith ... Decent prices.
People of the Fort and NWA, this thai restaurant is a diamond. Located on Dodson Ave, Tassanee's is a delicious foodie gem. The food is delicious and authentic. If you are a local, or just driving through town, give Tassanee's a try!!
Great little gem in Ft Smith. We enjoy the coconut soup and any of the curries. The server/owner is friendly and very knowledgeable. The location and decor is a little underwhelming but if you are looking for a great new place to try, try Tassanee's.
Great hole in the wall! If you're in Fort Smith and you like Pad Thai this is the place to go! I got chicken Pad Thai, only a spice level of 1. My fiancé got the spice level of 2 and I liked his better--definitely not too spicy! The crab rangoons have a lot of crab in them so beware! They're not the traditional cream cheese only ones Chinese buffets have. Can't wait to go back!
Umm Awesome.. This place is very good and a reasonable price as well. People below said that it was pricy but I dont really understand what the heck they are talking about. My wife and I went there with a co-worker a few nights ago and really loved the food, so much so that we are actually going back there right after I type this review. The guy that was taking our order was really nice and extremely helpful, which is awesome because its hard to get both from people. I asked him what he likes the best and he said that they have the best fried rice around. I took him up on his claim and indeed it is the best i have ever had (the pork really sets it off). Overall great experience there and Its sad that im going back to NY on friday because if this place was in NY i would go there way to often.
Delicious. Don't let the location fool you, the food is AMAZING! Will be going back again and again!
AMAZING food, wonderful service, very clean and neat!! Will most definitely be returning!!
Forget what it looks like...Go for the food! Terrific!
This is my favorite place to eat, period! It never disappoints! I recommend this to everyone. Red curry and cashew chicken are awesome!
Don't let the decor fool you. Walking through the doors, it looks like a small-town diner. Don't let that fool you. The food is amazing and authentic. This has become my family's favorite place in Ft. Smith. My favorite is the green curry, but everything I've tried has been great. You can get the food as spicy or mild as you like. Try the Thai Ice Tea for something different and very interesting. Service is always adequate, nothing special, but the food... Oh, the food!!
#59 - made fresh and served HOT right off the kitchen. It was FANTASTIC!!!
Fort Smith is known for Vietnamese and Thai food and this place lives up to the challenge. A great place for lunch or dinner. I recommend #45 a gingery based curry stir fry.
Food was great. I had #56 pad see ew and my husband had #59 pad lee mou. Also had the eggrolls. Everything was good. Will be back.
Great Thai Food. Love the food and the owners and staff are great people too. Very friendly atmosphere and your food is always made fresh as you order, not like buffet style restaurants. If you have a chance, stop by try the food out, and say Marvin sent you ;)
Im in love!. Ive tried a huge variety of items from their expansive menu, and I have yet to find anything I dont like. Everything is so dang good!! I'll keep going back!
This place is now our new go-to place for Thai following Lotus closing their doors in Van Buren. The server is knowledgable, helpful, and very friendly. Priced cheaper than it probably should be.
My favorite place to eat in fort smith. Will not settle for any other spot. I'm craving some now dangit
This was a great surprise. We came because of Urban Spoon and really enjoyed the food. I had Red Curry my husband had pineapple fried rice both were amazing.

Excellent food! Little hole in the wall, and easy to pass, but the Pad Thai was awesome.
Delicious! We have loved everything we have tried. Soo good!!!
I've visited this restaurant several times, each time I get the sticky rice with a variation of meat such as pork, beef, or chicken wings. The sticky rice is delicious, the only problem I have is the portion size. For the ammount that you pay I think they could up the portion of food that is served. Other than that its very good but dont think I will be back due to the lack of food they give you.
Just had a great feast for lunch. Red Curry was yummy. I love this place
As is the case with some of the Fort's best eat places, Tassanee's is a book not to be judged by its cover.
Most importantly, the food is excellent. Easily the best Thai food in town. In this reviewer's opinion, their Drunken Noodles (spice level 2) is the best non-soup noodle dish in a town full of noodle dish joints.
Standing it up against Fort Smith's other Asian restaurants, the most unique thing you will encounter is the friendly, informative and very Arkansan server, Justin. The meals are the creation of his wife, who oversees their preparation in the kitchen.
For those not versed in the ins and outs of the cuisine of Southeast Asia, Justin will break it down in a very unassuming, straight-forward and unintimidating way.
Highly recommended.
The panang curry is my favorite. It can be spicy if you want, but always delicious!
Very good - both meals were excellent and we will definitely be back and hopefully often
Best Thai food I ever tasted. Their chicken wings, pine apple fried rice, Thai donuts are my favorites. Never left disappointed. Family owned and very friendly people. Although on the higher side of price range it's worth each penny
Good. Went for lunch, good food. Had egg rolls and noodle soup.
Egg rolls were ok. The chicken wings were great! Love how you can order the amount of spiceyness you want.
Great food, clean, great service!!! Would recommend for a nice quiet date night!
The Real Thing. We stopped in while on a road trip across the country, after reading the reviews. Having been to Thailand several times and being in Australian where there are more Thai restaurants then McD's I didn't expect much. To my surprise, the owners were Thai! We had the chicken larb which was prepared fresh. Excellent. Also had the coconut soup and a beef red curry. All fantastic. Simple surroundings but perfectly clean and Great Service. Highly recommended.
Great Thai food and they are aware of gluten free dietary needs. Yellow curry is great.
Good food and prices also nice people I would eat there again
Yummmmm!. Ordered the Pad See Ew for lunch today. Very good!
What great tasting Thai food and a awesome and friendly wait staff! So cheap too.
Absolutely amazing food, and great staff/owners. Love it! This food is a home run for lunch or dinner!
Good food, good conversation with staff. Work around the corner, and love the delivery option for busy days. Also Had good dine in experiences, Server was kind and chatted with us a Bit. The red Curry here is definatly what keeps me coming back!
Yummy. I had given up hope in finding good Thai food n Fort Smith until I tried this place. Man oh man, this place is fantastic. The Pad-See-Ew is the best I've ever had. It can be hard to find at first, but worth the search.
They are very good, have good prices and fast service and very good food. Love the spice scale, and pad kae mao

Great food. I was there yesterday and the food was amazing. This has to be the best thai food in town... and in my opinion perhaps the best food in town. Try the tofu pad see ew, it was the best i have ever had.
Wow! The fried rice is so good. I really like the egg rolls too!
Good curry. I'd never had Thai food, so I have nothing to compare Tassanee's to. But I picked a good spot for my first experience. I ordered the red curry with chicken. They let you choose your spice level, from 1 to 10 (with 5 being as hot as a jalapeno). I chose 4 and had a delicious meal. Check it out for yourself!
This joint does it right. The curries are amazing. Good prices. Great food all around.
Love it!. This is one of my favorite restaurants in FS! My husband and I go about 2 or 3 times a month and everything is wonderful! It is a little hard to find and the rustic nature of the restaurant might make a newcomer think twice before going it but it is well worth it! I have tried all the curries -- yum but the red is my favorite. The pepper steak is great, so is the pad Thai and the pad see-ew. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed!
C for cleanliness,B for food, A for service :). This was my third stop for Thai restaurants. I must say I almost couldnt find it as it was tucked in a corner but food was good, service was great.
Wonderful!. Went here with a few friends and it was delicious!! I had the Phad See Ew with chicken at a level 4 spice. It was fantastic! The guy that waited on us was the husband half of the husband and wife owner/cook team. He was great! He made some good suggestions for a couple of the ladies that didn't really know what they wanted and they turned out to be great choices! The best part was the price! Very inexpensive!
The only drawback we experienced was the time lag on the food coming out. Two of us got our food and were almost finished eating before the last two got theirs.... but this will not keep me away! Too yummy!
Great Food, Great Price. Craving a little spice? Tassanee Thai Cuisine is the place. Tucked away in the old Dodson Diner this little place took us by surprise. We like to order different dishes and share but the problem is how spicy to order each dish. Here you can choose from 1-5 spice levels, or if you like to share like us then order a 3 and a side of spice powder to adjust to your own personal flavor.. Keep up the good work.
A great place for Thai food! My favorite in town.
So glad I found this place. They chopped my chicken and veggies down upon request, made every order with the freshest ingredients, oh so tasty, not to salty, and didn't require extra soy sauce or other sauces. Healthier and tastier alternative to drive through burgers or pizza places. And the spring roll and peanut sauce. I am usually not a peanut sauce person but theirs is made with a delightful kick, not heat or sweet just excitement you'll have to sample for yourself. Above all expectations. I will be coming back and bringing family and friends.
Ate here again, after they re-opened from covid and remodel. it reminded me why I keep coming back to this place, it just tastes better, at least in my opinion. The dishes definitely have that "made at home" taste, yes, it might take longer to get your food than some other places, but the wait is definitely worth it.
Stellar food, speedy service, kind staff. We always have positive experiences - both dine in and take out - and have never had an issue. The food is amazing and can easily be made vegetarian or vegan. This restaurant has quickly become our favorite in Fort Smith. Highly recommend.
This is my favorite restaurant in town, hands down. The food tastes amazing, and it is truly authentic. The waiter knows every dish on the menu, so don't hesitate to ask if you have questions. My favorite item on the menu is the basil stirfy. My husband is picky, so he gets a noodle dish with no vegetables. I highly recommend.
What a great place! I loved the Pad Thai and crab Rangoon. The Pad Thai tasted very homemade and had perfect spice. The crab Rangoons came out hot and perfectly cooked. My wife got massaman and said it needed some peanuts, avocado, and a bit more spice. The place has a great history and is very eclectic. We enjoyed talking to the server about the buildings changes. I would definitely recommend it for an enjoyable dinner.
This is my favorite Thai place in town. Everything is good! It's the perfect comfort food after a rough day for me. Nice family run business.
Let me just say... these drunken noodles were the best! The person at the front was very friendly.
