Long story is a short version. I had a night shift and I have to be up all night until the next day. So is a long night and I need something to eat. My plan was go to Burger King and buy a large hamburger combo but the plan changed because was late to make an order. I went to the drive thru and I was ready to order and then the speaker said, we are close and I said ohh Shi$$#. I just have an hour to eat and come back to work. So I Goggle restaurant near me and I found this place that said, will be close soon. So I went to the Huddle House before they close and I explained my situation. I said I m hungry I will be working for a long time until next day and this is my first time in this restaurant. I need your recommendations. The person that talked to me I. The counter was so friendly and very quick select my choices. So I order a big breakfast. She said that will be like 6 min to be ready. So I started eating I side the restaurant I ate first the eggs, breads, potatoes juice then I took the rest for to go. So my short story is that this place is the best choice for breakfast and also the service was excellent. I recommend this place. I will coming back soon
I've only ever had a bad experience once, but I think that was just a bad day for the restaurant. Every other time the food is 100% how I want it. Their burgers are to die for. The omelettes are hearty. The Staff is wonderful. The Cooks are amazing. The atmosphere is like a modern 50's dinner. I would eat here every day if it wouldn't add to my waist line but that's besides the point. Probably one of the best places around Fort Polk, Leesville area considering the minimal options available.
This is one of the best places to eat around. They actually have an A- rating from the health department and a great wait staff. It's weird that so much of my life at Fort Polk has revolved around this place. We know most of the people here by name and we love it!
Very good pancakes, plenty to take home. Husband had a good meal too. Nice waitress. Wait was not long. On Ft. Polk. Beautiful view of Catfish Cove out the window.
Outstanding courteous staff, wonderful food, and all around great experience. This location never disappoints. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. The Huudle House on Fort Polk really knows how to out together a fresh and delicious meal.
I saw this place driving around. Nice Fort Polk well keep secret. This place remind me of waffle House just smaller, cleaner and more family friendly!! Food is ok nothing spectacular but very friendly staff. So if you are in the hunt for some breakfast food at anytime check this place out. You won't be disappointed!! You are welcome Amerika.

Really enjoyed our dinner at the Huddle House. Great sandwiches and milk shakes! Our waitress, Brittney, really worked hard to give us great service and we will go back soon. I know that the place is popular for breakfast too.
Before we PCS'd to Polk, we used to eat at the waffle house and I have to say that this Huddle House is so much better. It's cleaner, it doesn't smell like feet, my food isn't swimming in grease and oil, the staff is really nice and they accommodate as well as they can. Being on post is just an extra bonus! Great work!
The food is really good, I come here frequently for breakfast and lunch. The service is good too. I only had an issue once, the waitress at the time couldn't get anything right but it might have been a bad day for her. Other than that I would recommend Huddle House.
Good coffee and breakfast - one of the few places to get breakfast food on post. Ate here several times in the past week - clean restaurant (no flies as well unlike several places off-post), cold air conditioning, friendly service and food was consistently cooked to order. No free wifi.
The food was good. NOT LIKE AWESOMEEE... but i would wat here again. The service is polite and timely. Air-conditioning yes. Some flies were inside which were not part of my rating since I don’t care about such things. Price is adequate, not expensive.
Decent price for the food quality. Not many healthy options, but that's what you would expect from a comfort food restaurant. Friendly waiting staff and timely food service. If you're trying to keep the pounds off, I suggest not eating here too often. Lol
Best omelettes hands down. -1 star due to night crew much less professional than morning crew.
My breakfast would have been even better if an employee was not cleaning the light fixtures over the tables while I eat my food and the dust she was sending airborne. SMH.
Always love going here. I love their BLT with onion rings. Soooo good. Any time I want a sit down breakfast without cooking I go here. Also, the staff are always super nice!
