This review is about my overall experience at Rooster in the Garden. My wife and I spent approximately 2.5hrs dining/hanging out.
Waleska (who we never met, nor needed to) is running a well oiled crew at Rooster in the Garden.
Scarlett the hostess was very inviting as she welcomed us into the restaurant. She also answered the phone, as we had called earlier to see if we needed reservations. She assured us as a party of two, we would not need to make reservations. She was extremely nice.
Cindy, our server was nothing short of spectacular. She made sure that we had drinks on hand, food on the table, and was there whenever we needed her. She deserved her tip!
Connor, was always quick to clear the table and get rid of excess plates. He also helped with the timing and handling of the food.
As the bartender, Colleen made our drinks to the T! They were fantastic and well made, getting the job done! Stout and tasty.
The food was nothing short of spectacular. We had the salumie e formaggio, 10 meats and cheeses, lamb chops, ala vodka penne, and all 3 desserts that included tiramisu, cheesecake, pistachio panna cotta.
Kevin Darr (head chef) & Dave are great at their craft. Food was prepared and cooked perfectly. Lamb chops were my Favorite dish. But to also be honest, the atmosphere was my favorite. Very inviting, relaxed and chill.
Highly recommend.
Tonight was our first experience at this wonderful establishment. From the moment we walked in, Scarlett the hostess, was very warm and welcoming into the restaurant. She asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. It was a lovely evening so we chose to sit outside. Once outside she ask if we wanted a table and chairs or couches and tables. We absolutely chose sitting on the couches! They were very comfortable and the table was at a great height for accommodating couch seating. We did get rained on, but this is Florida it happens lol. We moved inside to a quite table in the corner, and we were still just as happy. I ordered the cucumber martini and it was absolutely fantastic, ok.... Real talk, I ordered two 🤭(my husband had the mojito **pic**). Anyhoo we ordered the full Salumie e Formaffio tray with a spread of 10 meats and cheeses and a lovely selection of delicious side additions. We also ordered the Lamb chops and the ala vodka because I absolutely wanted to try the homemade pasta and sauce. I was NOT disappointed! Every bit of it was delicious. I can't wait to have my leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Cindy was our waitress and she was nothing short of amazing. Extremely kind and knowledgeable about the menu. Mad props to the chef Dave. The food was absolutely perfect man. Thank you. And to the head chef Kevin Darr, you have created a fantastic menu. Thank you.
P. S. Get the panna cotta. It's so good you're gonna wish they served it with a mini spatula so you can get Every. Last. Drop.
We frequently visited The Rooster prior to March 2020, and we enjoyed the setting, food, and service.
We learned that the ownership changed, along with the menu, after that time. We were willing to explore.
Our first visit as the "new" Rooster offered great service, and my Quinoa Salad was excellent. My husband's "fish of the day," in the form of Lobster Diablo, was too overwhelming for him to really enjoy, and he does enjoy spicy foods. The flavor was good, but chili heat level was too high with too many chili peppers on the plate and incorporated into the sauce. We made recommendations to the chef.
Today's visit allowed us to order from the Brunch menu. My Frittata, pictured, was fresh and excellent. Hubby enjoyed his Steak & Eggs as the chef gave him the medium rare steak he seeks but does not often get. My Gin Refresher lived up to its name. 👍🍸
Sometimes transitions need a little time to iron out little wrinkled. That's the case here. We'll be back. ☺
We love the new updated menu. This is avocado toast with a poached egg, prosciutto, and a salad. Delicious with a perfectly cooked poached egg. Menu not overpriced and we've had several other dishes must have eaten them too quickly no pictures. Definitely worth trying. My only complaint the avocado toast needs 2 poached eggs. 😆😋
Let me first by starting off by saying I highly recommend this classy warm inviting restaurant to you ! We had brunch this morning and without any hesitation the staff was able to accommodate a pretty decent size party . Our server Katie was amazing , she was super quick and answered any questions we had about the menu . She also offered to put in a kids breakfast in first . Throughout our whole brunch manager’s, chefs & other servers were also checking up on us . This establishment definitely takes pride in everything they serve . Everything we ate and drank was delicious. We definitely will be back by far the best brunch establishment downtown fort pierce has ! 10/10
Food is always outstanding!
Ordered unlimited Mimosa on Sunday with eggs al Forno, Turkey omelette, bruschetta, and avocado toast.
Avocado Toast was absolutely delicious 😋 I'm so happy I took my friend's recommendation. Also our server Jim was amazing and very attentive. Definitely can't wait to come back.
I've had lamb chops at one of the top restaurants in Vero Beach and here at Rooster in the Garden. This far surpassed the other in flavor and tenderness. I also had Burrata Caprese. Not only was the burrata good but the fresh heirloom tomatoes, the olive oil, and the balsamic vinegar made me savor every bite. The pasta is made fresh there as is the bread.
