It was so nice to get out for Date Night, with my husband (I love saying that)!
I recommended we go to "The Saucy Meatball" because, I drive through Gateway everyday to get to work and watched it being built. And, of course, I love Italian food!
We were seated right away. Kim was our server, she was great! :)
We ordered from the "Specials Menu" - we started with the appetizer, "Cousin Vinny's Fresh Mozzarella Paradiso" - Fresh mozzarella rolled with ricotta and prosciutto breaded and lightly fried served with a side of marinara sauce - it was delicious, perfectly breaded and filled. We shared a "House Salad" - Romaine, mixed greens, olives, cucumbers, croutons, carrots, celery, tomato with house dressing - generous portion of salad, perfect for a couple to share. My husband ordered the "Flavors of Italy" - Pork, eggplant and shrimp parmigiana baked with marinara sauce and mozzarella served with a side of spaghetti - He said it was the best Italian he has ever had, the pork was so tender, melt in your mouth (I tried a bite, it was), and he said it was just as amazing when he heated it up the next day. I ordered the "Steak Pizzaiola" - Filet tips sautéed in red wine marinara sauce with onions, peppers, & fresh mozzarella cheese served over pappardelle pasta - Every bite was amazing, the pasta and filet tips were cooked perfectly, the tips were so tender. I wish we had enough room for dessert - which was "Rum Chata Vanilla Bread Pudding", sounds so delectable.
We will DEFINITELY we back - so many deliciously sounding items on the menu to try!
Fantastic place! Just recently opened about a month ago. Wonderful polite service. The owner/manager, Alex, was very gracious. Had the Blackened Mahi-Mahi over Jasmine rice with small shrimp and grilled asparagus served with a red pepper cream sauce, which is a special. Fantastic! They use locally source products when available, to include the seafood. They have a large wine list along with a good selection of local micro-brews. Fantastic!
I met the owners a few days ago, and decided to take my wife for dinner tonight for the first time.
My wife's Father (my Father-in-Law) was born and raised just outside of Catania, Sicily, and my wife was "raised on" Sicilian food. After her Father passed away, she has been searching for a place she says "feels like home."
She knows good Sicilian food when she eats it!
We started with the authentic Gnocchi Milan with a "home-style" marinara, and ended with the Italian Chicken pizza with ham, ricotta, blue cheese and mozzarella.
We were impressed.
The owner even came to our table and made her "feel like a Queen." It was amazing!
We will be back. A++
First off, AMAZING and high quality food at a great price! I love that the kitchen is open and everything is SUPER CLEAN! The portions are huge, the food comes out fast, fresh and hot! I would give more stars if able! Highly recommend!
I am not very good at cooking so my husband and I have been to most restaurants within a 20 mile radius (many of which are very good) and this one tops the list! Super fresh scallops, shrimp and lobster cooked perfect and the sauces are authentic and delicious!! True Italian restaurant! This is a great addition to the Gateway area!
Our friends and us went there last night. The staff was very friendly and were very helpful. We had one of the "specials of the night," the Braised Beef Ravioli. Oh my goodness, it was excellent. So flavorful! Our compliments to the chef. Everyone must try this. However it was a special, so not sure it's a regular on their menu. We will definitely return! Congratulations to Saucy Meatball!
Living in the Gateway area, we have been waiting for this restaurant to open. To our delight, when passing by Monday night, we saw it was open and turned around to try it out.
We were not disappointed! The eggplant was delicious as was my husband’s lasagna. The garlic rolls were addicting.
We found it loud inside but there is generous seating outside and their manager said heaters will be coming soon.
I marveled at their serving staff who did everything to ensure we had a good dining experience.

Finally took the time to have lunch with the hubby and we were so happy with the entire meal! He’s a picky Italian so that’s worth 10 stars! Sal’s Favorite Pasta was amazing. Huge portions. Reasonable prices. Staff was very attentive. It was a perfect Florida winter day to sit outside and enjoy the meal. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu! Living in Gateway just got even better!

Great addition to Gateway! Delicious food, nice ambiance, attentive staff, and yummy drinks (the mule on the menu w/limoncello) Definitely worth checking out!
We decided to try this tonight for the first time, on Christmas Eve and had the most delicious dinner! The atmosphere was serene and the service was excellent! The portion sizes were large and plentiful. We left feeling full & satisfied. We are so HAPPY to have such a yummy place for lunch/dinner now so close to home in Gateway! We can’t wait to return!
Very clean, fast service and quick food delivery ( there was 17! of us!) Very, very impressed! Everyone loved their meal and the amazing service really helped our family enjoy our time together and have a great experience. We (all 17 of us) will be back!
We finally got a chance to stop in for dinner and just as we expected, it was amazing! You guys constantly out do yourselves. Atmosphere was great, service was great and hospitality is second to none. Definitely recommend!
Great food, place was amazing, set up very nice.. great food just like their sister company two meatballs. Our waitress Brittney was amazing. Definitely will return especially since I live in Gateway so it makes it really nice.

Had dinnet tonight - food was good and waitress was fantastic but.... With garage door open and employees going in and out to the tables outside, we were over run by flies! Too many for a nice
Italian dinner. The garage door windows also need to be tinted - sun was going down and i had to wear sun glasses. Will go back but will pick a diffetent seat.
The food tasted great overall so a five but the garlic rolls were only mediocre. The snapper with risotto had a wonderful lemon flavour. We tried the thin crust old fashioned - excellent crust. Highly recommend the eggplant stack - crispy with a nice tomato sauce, delicious. Tiramisu for dessert, light with a strong amaretto flavour. We’ll be back. Went back two days later and had another great meal. Anxious to return.
10/25/23 first time here. Found this place on G Maps. Loved the name and saw the good reviews. So I met my friend here after flying in.
Really nice and friendly staff, great service.
I had the mussels marinara and my friend had the fried calamari, both dishes were really good (yeah i had to have some of that fried to perfection goodness!)
Also 4 garlic knots that showed up were really nice.
They have nice outdoor space too.
I'll be back at some point.
Definitely check this place out!

I ordered the chicken marsala and husband ordered the chicken Parmigiana. He said his meal was great, my meal was just okay honestly I've had better chicken marsala. For me the real star was the warm butter rolls and their meatballs.
Tried the "Alfredo's friend Alejandro", it was so good, I'm a fan of Alfredo sauce but this one was different (in a good way) as the peas and mushrooms make it taste much better. Also, the garlic knots are on point.

The portions are sized the way Americans eat - more than enough to stuff two bellies.
Ambiance and decor are fantastic while being tastefully decorative.
Come on in, belly up to the bar or the table (inside or out), and be sure to bring family or friends. You’re gonna need help to clean the plate.
You asked what’s good? My response is - “What’s not?” It’s literally all good. Do yourself a favor and eat here. You won’t regret this robust, tasty, seasoned properly (not too much) Italian Food.

Great restaurant. The atmosphere and location are second to none. One of my favorite dishes is the pasta Bolognese. I also love the salmon with pasta tossed in a light lemon sauce.

I was looking for a good Italian restaurant in Fort Myers and I found one! It is called, the Saucy meatball! Wow! This place is great! It is really tucked away in a little Plaza. But when you go in, it looks like take out only. Then you are escorted to the back where it opens up into a very large dining room and they even have very large dining spaces outside! The appetizers and the food were extravagant. The drinks are very reasonable, and they even have non-alcoholic options. For the price of everything, you really got a lot of delectable food that was handmade in the kitchen. They had more than enough staff to serve you while you're eating. Their restrooms are some of the best restrooms I have ever seen and they are handicapped accessible as well . The parking lot is tight but they still have ample enough amounts of parking spots and handicap spots up front. The only downside was that the Uber Eats Personnel we're parking in the handicap spot. Not good! The Saucy meatball should address this immediately.
Yesterday was our 2nd time at The Saucy Meatball with our friends. Our server, "AM B" per my receipt, I failed to get her name, but she was amazing! She did not miss a beat from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. Shout out to AM B (per my receipt), Check #28, Table 20, 11/18/23 1:32 PM. Keep up the great work and we wish you the best in whatever you want to do. The food for everyone (5 guest) was all perfect. The quantity and quality of their food was also top notch. We sat outside and yesterdays weather with the ceiling fans working was also perfect. Overall my family and friends were pleased. We will be back and we highly recommend The Saucy Meatball. To owner and management, please keep, maintain and improve. We wish you much success.
First time at this location. Very nice place, reasonable prices and good portions. The atmosphere was light and breezy, the restaurant was extremely clean and neat.
Our server (Alice) was the best! We had a delightful dinner.
Amazing food Veal Sorrentino was amazing. So much flavor eggplant Parm on top of thin sliced veal and cheese ravioli at the bottom. Hiding like a little secret. Big plate come hungry. Great Happy hour discount on a bottle 20% off. Tiramisu is house made and very delicious again big portion.
Wow!! Just absolutely delicious!! Our server Chris was on point! The food and appetizers were absolutely amazing! The beer was cold and the food was hot and very quick!! This is so full of flavor! Will definitely return!!!
Can’t rave enough about The Saucy Meatball!
It has everything. Great food, great service and I love their outdoor dining patio overlooking the hanging Spanish moss. We ordered the fried eggplant stack, Italian wings, veal Marsala, shrimp pasta and the drunken Sicilian pizza. Everyone in our party raved about their meal and to top it off we ordered the cheesecake and the white chocolate, raspberry bread pudding. Fabulous!
This is just a little resturant & bar with nice outside seating. Each time we have gone the service has been wonderful. Looks like there are a lot of regulars. There is a lot of warmth. The food is delicious. A must go!!!

Great portions and the food was delicious. Service was very good considering it was a weekend and the place was packed. We had a reservation so they sat us immediately when we got there.

This is my second review for this restaurant and it is phenomenal! League ball size meatballs, excellent spaghetti, chicken Parmesan is unbelievable! I haven’t visited in about a year and a couple neighbors took me back on August 27 and wow, Never fails to deliver great food. All the food is excellent. And the bread, hell I can come in just for the bread that is drenched in garlic butter! That could be my meal! If you haven’t tried this place, give it a try. I read some one star reviews which are totally ridiculous, as I’ve eaten here numerous times And it was excellent each time! See the photos that I just took on August 27! The below review was from two or three years ago that I left.
Here's an excellent Italian Restaurant that serves up superb spaghetti and meat balls! Awesome pasta and softball sized meatballs! Do NOT order extra meatballs, as you won't be able to finish your 2 meatball meal!
