Wonderful place! My boyfriend and I celebrated my birthday on our last day in Florida. The service was very cheerful and attentive; the food was so delicious; and the view was gorgeous. Would definitely eat here again, and very impressed by the entire experience. Thank you!

We had our wedding and reception here. These folks made everything so easy . . . It was totally a Peaceful Easy Feeling!!!
We went there for the first time in Christmas day. A party of 3 with 3 different entrees. Lobster ravioli, Chicken parmesan and Grouper. All were excellent!! So full of flavor, presentation was superb and abundance in quantity!! A real chef must be present! Also, Mary our server was amazing! We will definitely be back. Very pleased!!
Wow!!!! Stopped in on a whim and just to have a beer and rnjoy the view......well I got a heck of a relaxing view from the outdoor second level seating!!! Then, the drink was absolutely perfect, the beer was cold, the appetizer was delicious! But being that it was my birthday, I got that bread pudding thingy.....chocolately goodness! Heaven in my mouth!!! The service was on par! The food was quick and the place is absolutely awesome in the decor! Definite 5 star and will soon be returning!!!
We went to Bayfront Bistro today (Nov 7, 2022) for their Grand Reopening. The food and drinks were great and they have really done a phenomenal job rebuilding their restaurant.
I ordered the wings, of course. They were classic buffalo wings, fried in a light breading. While my preference is naked wings, these were still exceptional: juicy, crunchy, and very tasty.
This is a hidden gem! We have been to Fort Myers several times now and this was our first time at Bayfront Bistro. Food was amazing. Our service from Maryann was amazing. Dessert was incredible. We will definitely be returning every time we come back to the island!
Food was excellent as was the ambiance. Portion size was perfect....satiating but not stuffing. Two quirks we weren't happy about...their happy hour is only good at the bar (so we went to the bar, purchased our drinks and took them back to our table), and there was a $5 upcharge per plate for getting risotto instead of rice.
Great food & friendly service! My spouse and I, ate dinner here last night. Prior to our visit, I had read a review that mentioned that Bayfront Bistro has a fabulous Grouper sandwich on their lunch menu.
While I knew that I would not be able to order the Grouper sandwich for dinner, I figured I couldn’t go wrong with this restaurant. I started my dinner with a cup of the Tomato Parmesan Bisque. I don’t normally have a soup, salad or appetizer, however, I’m so glad I did. OMG, they did not skimp in the Parmesan cheese. It was absolutely delicious! The soup was Followed by the Grouper Langosta with cheddar mashed potatoes, instead of the risotto. OMG, it was so filling.
My spouse ordered the Alaskan Butterfish, with wasabi mashed potatoes. It was absolutely delicious! What a beautiful combination of butterfish topped with sweet chili sauce, served on a bed of wasabi mashed potatoes. 12/10 for this entree!
If we lived locally, this would definitely be a regular dining spot!
We sat at the bar. We had 2 house salads that were excellent size and taste good. Came with bread and some kind of oil dip, very good. We also had the Asian calamari and coconut shrimp. The calamari was spicy and very good, large enough for a meal. I highly recommend it. Coconut shrimp was good. I also ordered the clam chowder...I sent it back....it did not taste like clam chowder..no noticeable clams, taste more like herb chowder with potatoes. Also not a fan of the female manager cleaning the shelves and spraying window cleaner by us while eating. Nice looking place inside except for the cheap plastic place mats.
Fish was fresh and was prepared perfectly! Flavor was amazing as well. We have a kid with an egg allergy and when we asked the server if the bread had egg in it he just said they didn't make it in house, so he didn't know. Kinda disappointed that he wouldn't try to find out for us. That's the reason I'm not giving a 5 star.
The downstairs Marina-side Bayfront Bistro is our favorite casual restaurant in South Fort Myers Beach, FL. They have the very best blackened, grilled grouper sandwich ($24 with fries and a spicy aioli sauce served on the side). BUT they only serve it until 3:00 PM. After that you can order a fried grouper sandwich but it’s nowhere near as good as the blackened, grilled sandwich. There are many grouper sandwiches sold here but this is the biggest, juiciest and most flavorful of all the restaurants we’ve tried. The restaurant upstairs is nice but expensive but the downstairs bar/restaurant is much more casual and fun. They have a great menu and selection of craft beers and tropical drinks. The boats on the intercostal and in the Marina add great visual interest. Everyone is very friendly and the vibe is classic south Florida beachy. I highly recommend you try it!
We came to the Bayfront Bistro on Monday for the early bird special. From 4:30pm to 5:30pm (not sure other days offered) you can get a full course meal. It includes a glass of wine, salad, choice of three entree options and key lime pie for $30.
The Mahi with pineapple salsa was very tasty. One surprise was the strawberry dressing on the mixed green salad. It blew away our taste buds with strawberry flavor.
They have a very extensive wine list by the bottle or glass and a full bar.
The view from the second floor outside dining of the bay and boat docks makes for great picture taking. $$$
Food was good, if priced high for lunch, even on the island. A lunch for two with an appetizer and a soda was $65 with tip. Service was very good, our waiter took special care with a food allergy that was much appreciated. The calamari and the lobster burger were both very good.
Update: we returned in March, 2019 and were very disappointed with our service and treatment. Our waiter was hard pressed to be of service, ignored our food allergy issue, and brought cold food that had clearly been dying for a while to us. While management removed my incredibly overcooked steak from my bill, he wasn't exactly endearing either. On the upside, even the overcooked, way too thin steak was delicious (the cranberry risotto with it, however, was more like rice mixed with cranberry, it was not a risotto). Our cold fried green tomatoes were also good. The lukewarm seafood pasta was very good, although the mussels on it were overcooked (hard and rubbery).
Excellent experience during our first visit to Bayfront Bistro. Excellent water view and both the food and service was excellent. Got the calamari and shrimp appetizers, both delicious. I had the lobster tortellini for dinner which was very good. Highly recommend!
We stumbled into this place on accident thinking that Publix might be opened, but we're so glad we came here instead! The calamari was an excellent starter, I had THE best Caesars salad ever (this dressing was the best)! The boys had the turkey panini, and we ALL loved the Key Lime pie!! Our server (Jill?) was delightful too!
We happened upon this restaurant 5/25/19 and were just blown away by the wonderful experience our group of four had there. The food was outstanding, the service was wonderful, the ambiance was delightful. It is located behind the Publix in Fort Myers Beach on the Gulf side on the 2nd floor of the building. The experience was worth the cost (a bit on the pricey side, but fitting for a high-quality place). We really loved the decor and the way the place is arranged. Our waiter was outstanding. What an incredible gem of a restaurant. I can recommend it without reservation.
Only stopped at the downstairs outside bar for a quick drink and small bite to eat. Great location right on the water. The upstairs had amazing views.
Service was prompt, friendly and courteous. Caesar salad was big enough to split. Lobster ravioli and dill salmon were both cooked perfectly. Highly recommend. Only downside was they serve Meomi Pinot Noir by the glass for $13. We asked for a bottle and the price was $75. 5 glasses x $13 = $65, so I would expect a bottle price less than the cost of 5 glasses.
Went here for our one year anniversary brunch. Such a great experience. The views are incredible. Food was awesome. Our server Dominick was great, awesome energy and super friendly. Will definitely be coming back here next time we’re in the area and would highly recommend!
