Milky Way Restaurant

If you find yourself in the neck of the woods 🪵 around Fort Loudon or Saint Thomas you have to stop at this classic burger joint. My favorite is the cheeseburger 🍔 basket with chips. Their fried chips are really great, they give the potato 🥔 more surface area which results in a crispier snack. You also can't leave the Milky Way Restaurant without grabbing 🍦🍧🍨 dessert. I opted for the soft-serve Black Raspberry Malted Milkshake! After a long day of snowboarding at Whitetail Ski Resort, this was the perfect stop to fill up. With a friendly staff, that serves hot food and cold ice cream, there's no doubt why Milky Way Restaurant is a staple of the surrounding area.

Nice little restaurant that has been a community staple for quite some time. They serve everything from breakfast to desserts. Sandwiches, soups and soft serve ice cream are some of my favorites. I believe that they still make their own donuts as well. Relaxed dining atmosphere with lots of booths. Order at the counter, seat yourself and they bring you your food.

Tasty food and great service. I ordered a Dilliburger basket with fried chips on this visit. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. When they brought my order the food was exceptional and hot off the grill. I don't know what they put in those burgers but they are certainly the best in the area. Been dining there for over 30 years and the Milky Way consistently delivers quality burgers and ice cream.

I've gone to Milky Way for years and it's seriously gone way down hill. Food is good. Workers are super pleasant. However every single table was dirty and when someone finally brings you a drink/food, they ASK if you want your table cleaned.. I mean to me isn't that what your suppose to do before people sit at the table? Secondly, trash cans are overflowing onto the floor. Worker comes out to replace the bags but let's food all over the floor and didn't bother cleaning up the mess, let it there for someone to slip on. Overall, dirtiest restaurant I've been in ever.
