This place has no business being SO good. In an area of Ft. Lauderdale that’s notorious for carbon copy beach shops, this place is such a delicious departure from that. It’s got exceptional coffee, excellent chocolates, and so many tasty Turkish specialties! Plus, the prices are good and the employees are exceptionally welcoming.
The traditional Turkish coffee was a phenomenally delicious experience in which I got to learn more about what makes this coffee so unique. The presentation for my cup was an added bonus. Also tried a cup of their hot chocolate which was wonderful.
There’s a seemingly endless array of chocolates, Turkish delights, savory truffles, and so much more to enjoy here. Prices are by the pound for their items in the cases. Everything was perfectly delicious.
The space is really bright and welcoming. Between the excellent food, the great employees, and the wonderful prices, this is a next level chocolate and coffee shop.

One more delightful surprise that sets Schakolad in Fort Lauderdale apart is their offering of traditional Turkish coffee. As a coffee enthusiast, I couldn't resist trying it alongside their exquisite chocolates. The deep, aromatic flavors of the Turkish coffee perfectly complemented the sweetness of the chocolates, creating a harmonious and memorable pairing. It's evident that Schakolad takes pride in catering to diverse tastes, making it a go-to destination for both chocolate and coffee connoisseurs. They are doing amazing job in this store. Chocolates are delicious, they are very polite and clean. Turkish coffee on the sand so tasty. I loved their Turkish delight Sellection.

The first hardship that you encounter here is to decide what is sweeter in this store: The lovely couple, Mahmoud and Sara, who owns the store, or their yummy, fresh Turkish delights? It becomes harder to answer this question when this sweet couple serves you a sample of their sweets for you to try. The added benefit of going to their store, instead of ordering from their website online, is that you can have both there. You can have a nice conversation with them on a wide range of topics from Turkish food to social justice issues while sipping your traditional made Arabic/Turkish coffee and enjoying Turkish delights.
My only two regrets are not taking photos there and forgetting to leave a tip. 🤦🏻♂️
In all seriousness, this is the place to go if you’re looking for fresh Turkish delights or chocolates, either to treat yourself or as a nice gift. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed.

This place is amazing! Not only are the chocolates delicious, but the addition of Turkish Delights and Turkish Coffee, sets this place apart. A must try! We will be visiting every trip we make down here.

The new owner Sara is amazing! She's super nice and welcoming; Customer service is always top tier. This shop has a wide variety of goodies and every time I come in there is always something new! Sara is always super accommodating especially when it comes to gifts for holidays/special occasions. If you are on a budget, she can still whip up something nice, presentable and gift-able. If you are a last minute shopper (like me 😅), she always has plenty of items made fresh daily and can put together a beautiful gift. She has ribbons of every color and can really tailor the gift wrapping to a specific holiday or to the person you are gifting! There are also pre-packaged gifts placed on the counter and around the store if you are indecisive yet in a rush! She goes the extra mile with the packaging and even the chocolates are on theme! She always has birthday, 'I love you,' family, and holiday specific themed items. Now on to the TASTE. Everything that I've tried here so far has been super delicious! There are white, milk, dark, and sugar free options. There are also other yummy items such as the Turkish delights, ice cream and coffee. Skip the dessert at the restaurant and come straight to this shop; Sara is giving Willy Wonka a run for his money!!!

The new owners were amazing! They were so gracious, explaining to us all the new and delicious chocolates they have. They made fresh Dark Chocolate Covered Orange Peals for me. I purchased a very well priced package of Turkish Delights for my sisters in law. My husband even tried Turkish Coffee there. I am definitely going back. The place is so much better and more specialized than it used to be. It's no longer generic. There are some truly exotic items in this shop. 😍 This place is great for gifts Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's, birthdays, etc.

Schakolad has some of the best customer service I have ever seen and also definitely the best chocolate I’ve ever eaten! Don’t forget to check out their baklava’s and Turkish coffee as well. All of it is so good they also have sugar free chocolate options for those looking for them! I have yet to try the gelato, but I will definitely be back soon for it, it was so good I had to make them a video!
