Awesome steaks and other selections. They've been here for years and have done it right. Great salad bar. Go, you won't be disappointed!

Hands down, best salad bar in town and I haven't found any better prime rib either. With excellent service to boot.

Great food and service. I was on my own and was welcomed and Angel was s great waiter. Will be going again on my return here in the future.

The Service was very very poor. They put us at a table for eight people right by the front door which we did not like . At the salad bar, there were about 30 people fighting to get to the salad and it was very disorganized and the lettuce bin was almost completely empty. Our server brought all the food and promised me with my burger I was going to have steak fries but he brought skinny shoestring fries. My burger was supposed to be cooked medium rare but it was well done . It was on dry, hard as a rock stale bun. Also my wife's sirloin burger platter without the bun was supposed be made medium but was well done. It was dry and she was very unhappy and it was her birthday dinner. Her brother's wife ordered a rare steak and it was served 15 minutes after everyone's dinner. We were almost done what she got her dinner and had to send it back because it was well done. She was almost in tears. We had three different waiters and then he dropped the food off and we never saw him anymore. I had to get another waiter to refill my water glass twice Finally a waitress came over just as we were getting the checks and asked if anybody like any more wine. We said no thank you we're leaving now but if somebody would've come an hour ago we would have ordered a second bottle. So you lost business plus we will never come back to Chuck's steakhouse again . It was the worst experience of my life. Your restaurant got an F rating from us. We won't come back because we are very very unhappy . The bill was $240 for poor food and very poor service.

I honestly don't understand how I'm reading a bad review for Chucks ! . Let me explain my experience at this restaurant. I love myself a good steak dinner . For a while I was always driving by Chucks steak house and never thought to give it a try because I had never heard of the place before . Finally I decided to give it a try . For starters the service I experienced my first time and as well as every time I go is outstanding!! . Waitstaff is very friendly. I'd never been to a restaurant where even someone who wasn't your server took notice if you needed refills or anything else while you were dining with them . So service is definitely an A+ for me . Now the food ! Hands down the best steak I have ever experienced the price yes is a little high but for the quality of food I'm receiving as well as the service it's nothing that is breaking the bank . I can go on and on how great Chucks steak house is you simply have to try it for yourself to see what I'm taking about .... you won't ever catch me in a Longhorn or an Outback again .

The service was poor and the food was even worse. The steaks were tough and had little flavor, baked potatoes were not even warm enough to melt the butter, and the stuffed mushrooms were cooked so long they were crispy. The server was rude from the moment she came to the table. There were five of us and the bill came to over $200. We would have had a better meal at McDonald's...

I was looking forward to a good meal in a pleasant atmosphere. It’s a nice place with very pleasant staff. However, the food was disgusting. The French Onion Soup was delivered to our table by the owner with the cheese burnt black and hard on top. The lobster was chewy and had a distinct ammonia flavor. Two bites in, one for me and a taste test by my husband determined the wise choice was not to eat it. We hid the offending lobster under the cold, rubbery baked potato. Fortunately it only cost us $80.00 to cross this restaurant off our list of places to revisit.

The customer service was amazing not just our server but all of tum treat you so special and kind. The steak www cooked well. Just left a after taste in my mouth. The bake potato was delicious but they should offer more sides to compliment your steak. Overall I would recommend and go again

Steaks were either over cooked and under cooked. Sent the raw steak back that was to be "medium". When It came back it was medium rare - they should've just prepare the new steak.Didn't bother with the steak that was supposed to be medium rare and came medium. Just too difficult to address. They ended up taking one of the steaks off the bill which is to be commended but I've come to expect much better from this restaurant. I had company in town and they wanted to go to Outback but I really wanted them experience this restaurant. The music from the bar was way too loud and did not make for an enjoyable dining experience. The salad bar was picked over and it look like the bread had never been replenished. Very disappointing.

The food was awesome and the performance by Dave was simply spectacular. We stumbled onto this gem and were very pleased we did. Highly recommend!!

Chuck's is amazing, exceptional service and incredibly delicious food. If you are in the Ft. Lauderdale area and craving steak, this place has got you covered.

Overrated. Poor, slow service. Burgers undercooked and overpriced. Salad bar pretty slim for $10. Sweet potato side dish was puny. Our own waiter walked by our table a dozen times but never once stopped to say he'd check on our order, ask how everything was, or anything. Same with managers. Not sure how this place stays open. 4/17/15

Long time customer.. Will never be back unless a total refund is forthcoming. Two of three meals were unacceptable. Service very poor and 'management' not much better. Did not make a scene due to my guests, but wrong steak delivered and corrected only after we had finished dinner. It's a shame; I have going to Chucks for over 30 years. November 14, 2014. Management. The manager marleen get rid of her she is VERY bad for your place the way she talks to the guest you lost 6 customers at our table last night and i saw her having a problem at another table get rid of her if she is related put her in the back where she don't talk to people

Wife had baby back ribs & French onion soup... average ribs - dyno-mite soup. Friend had diamond steak & salad bar. Steak was good. I had chopped sirloin steak, which was under cooked. Salad bar was average, except for browning lettuce. Rate 6 out of ten

This a great institution in Fort Lauderdale. People here say it looks old like the 90's. I think it looks "retro" back to the 1960's!!<br/><br/>The food is constantly good. The salad bar is small, well stocked and exceptionally clean. The booths along the perimeter are roomy and private. <br/><br/>Service is friendly and attentive. Try it - you'll like it.

Food was bland and overpriced and absolutely NOT kid friendly! Go elsewhere.

A nice place worth trying. As you probably know by now im a vegatarian which means im a 2 faced benedict arnold for eating here but wanted to try the salad bar $ 10.00 . the salad bar was small and the selection less then amazing ( more like sad ) but i have to admit i like it and want to go back. the service was friendly but not impressive. i looked at the menu prices and they were higher then average .i dont drink wine but they have a pretty good selection. the interior is standard dark wood and dim lighting . if youre on a strict budget and feel its to expenisve here then try dennys across the street.

Better than Outback! We like to eat local yes it's like stepping back to the early 90's it reminded us of Steak & Ale but the steak was better

Service was very good, salad bar was fair, steals (rib eye & bone in sirloin) were OK, but slightly over done (ediun rather than medium rare) and might have been more flavorful. Rate as 3/5

My boyfriend, parents and I had a wonderful experience here. I read the reviews, and the previous review was honestly nothing like my experience. You go to a restaurant to enjoy others company and eat, not count how many minutes a plate sits on the table... however. My father and I had the ribeye, extremly juicy and full of flavor. My mother (a picky woman usually) loved her filet minon. My boyfriend had a ny strip, medium. It was a bit overcooked, but as soon as we told the waitress she immeadiately got him a new steak cooked to perfection. The price was well deserved for the dinner we ate. Oh and the french onion soup was amazing!!

Disappointing. I went here with my brother on a recommendation for a good steak house. The decor reminds you of a restaurant from early 90's. Dim lighting (and I usually like that but not here), and outdated furnishings. But decor is only a fraction of the experience, the food is the primary concern, which was mediocre at best. I got the ribeye medium rare with steamed broccoli. The meat seemed to be cooked right but just wasn't that great, and flavor was lacking. The broccoli had no flavor whatsoever and was mushy. My brother got the ribs, he always gets the ribs wherever we go, and said they werent that great. The salad bar was ok, but how can you really go wrong there. The only good thing about the visit was the bartender was very nice, albeit not the best. After I finished my beer my empty glass sat there, never being offered another. When I finished my salad the plate sat there for the remainder of my stay and after finishing the main course my plate wasn't cleared for about 20 minutes until we finally got the check. Bar was about 1/3 full, not very busy. Like I said, disappointing.

Too expensive!!

Good food!. The place needs a little update, but the service was really good, and food was too. I had a ribeye cooked to perfection, and my husband had the ribs, and according to him, they didn't dissapoint. My child had chicken fingers, and they were good as well. Big portions..french onion soup a little bland.

Good Food and Great service. We went for the early dinner and it was so good the steak was cooked just right and the service was great never had to ask for anything. we even told the manager how happy we were. The price was very good its a fare rate in these hard times.

Chuck's is a leftover steakhouse from the 70's, when places like Beefsteak Charlie's were the place to be. Chuck's reminds me of Beefsteak Charlies more than a little.
