The owner is a wonderful human. The food is amazing, I enjoyed every dish presented, I especially loved the short ribs, calamari and lamb chops. Every dessert yummy...I got the tiramisu but tried what everyone else ordered 😊. I'll definitely be back.

Was warmly greeted by Paola, a true Italian from the northern region of Torino, Italy. The dining room was filled with premium Italian wine, baked goods, and pastas available for your take-home purchase. Typically, these items can only be found in Italy or a gourmet market. This sets the mood for your tastebuds to be reminded of true Italian cooking. The staff made everyone in the party feel right at home. Paola returned to the table to explain the menu and daily specials. All offerings are made with fresh ingredients. Nothing is left over from the day before, and nothing is wasted. Items like New Zeland lamb, made to order Carbonara, fresh Fish, Rabbit, and Osso Bucco are some of the offerings from the chef. There is a 'Pasta Night' that occurs periodically (call for a must needed reservation) and SELLS OUT. The pasta of choice is made fresh in the dining room and served tableside. Bolognese was served the night we went. The pasta sauce was prepared in a large carved out parmesan cheese wheel. The meaty sauce was flambed to perfection, followed by the addition of the aldente pasta. No meal would be complete with a fresh slice of chocolate hazelnut torte, tiramisu, and a cappuccino. It was by luck that we stumbled on this gem of a restaurant. However, it has swiftly moved up to one of our favorite Fort Lauderdale restaurants. Thank you, Paola, and your delightful staff 💕

One of the best places in South Florida for an authentic Italian meal. All ingredients are fresh, the service is impeccable, and it feels like eating an Italian meal at Grandma's house. I highly recommend this place!

Had dinner here Friday night, group of eight. It was fantastic. Since we were a large party, we got to sit in the private dining room. You felt like you were at grandma's house, in a good way! The husband and wife that own the restaurant are so warm and welcoming...great hosts. Plus they had spot on recommendations for those that couldn't make up their mind on what to order. The food itself was so good. It is unusual for this group of eight to agree, but everyone loved their meal. Too many dishes to list, everyone cleaned their plate. Can't wait to go back and try new items. They also have special dinner parties a couple of times a month so looking forward to going to one of those also. Thanks IL Paesano for a great evening of food and fun.

We decided to try it because my sister recommended it to us. We did the reservation and we had a great time! It was nice to chose our wine going to a different room which is adorable. It’s a small place but cozy with a great costumer service. Our waitress was Jose Antonio who was really helpful, kind and patient. Based on Jose A. recommendations we got: *A Pinot Grigio Fiori&Colori, which tasted perfect sweet with soft fruit tones. *For our appetizer the grilled octopus was delicious and perfectly cooked and seasoned. *As an entrees Jose A. was firm on his recommendation about of the Pear Fagottini (Served in a cream of gorgonzola and prosciutto $22.50) and it was delightful, he was absolutely right. * Cartoccio Linguini: Served with mixed seafood in a white wine and tomato sauce. I am not sure if it’s normal but it’s comes with too much tomato sauce. Approximately cost $32. We were enjoying so much that we were chilling but someone came to us to let us know about that our table was reserved for the next hour so, we couldn’t have more time to have probably dessert or more wine and just check out the store to buy some Italian delicatessen. It was a shame that part. It was curious to read that if you are not having any appetizer you must pay like $3 for the bread. For the Parmesan cheese I suggest a different container. In general I like it a lot

Is you want mediocre food and poor service I do not recommend this location. If you want possibly the best Italian food in South Florida at a reasonable cost then I do recommend. I had the veal with pasta and it was EXCELLENT. We also had the lobster ravioli and the cartocho. All dishes excellent. It's not a traditional "restaurant" but it is the best authentic Italian food we have had in South Florida by a ways. Loved it.

This is our favorite Italian restaurant in all of South Florida. The owners and staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to recommend a great wine with the course you order. We've eaten here several times and have always loved everything we've tried. The atmosphere is cozy, making it a perfect place where you can enjoy great food and have a pleasant conversation. We can't recommend this place enough!

Love this place the food, the atmosphere and especially the owners Paola & Vergilio. It was our anniversary and they made us and our guests feel very special Started with a couple apps grilled octopus which our friend said was great and the baked savory pears wrapped in prosciutto & served a creamy goat cheese sauce excellent. I can give three of the entrees 5 stars the lobster ravioli, penne vodka and I beleive the 2rs dish was chicken piccata the one dish that I can't give a 5 too was the veal saltimbuca it just didn't have much flavor to it it was tender but bland. Now the dessert that was recommended Pistachio cheese cake was the best dessert we've had in years . This couple are the best at being restaurateurs their funny and very engaging and make you feel like their welcoming you into their home. Thank you for making our anniversary a very memorable one.

Excellent, small, family run restaurant. Very friendly. Food is delicious. Reservations are necessary because of the size of the restaurant but once it's reputation is passed around by word of mouth, it may be difficult to get a table. Absolutely worth it and I highly recommend it.

This was probably the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. We were visiting Fort Lauderdale for vacation and came here for my birthday dinner and I can't wait to go back!! The owner was very kind and waited on us and described the food he had and seemed SO excited about the food he was serving which you don't see a lot. We had the meat and cheese plate, a couple pasta dishes and a dessert that had chocolate mousse in it, all of which was phenomenal! All of the food was fresh and delicious! I wanted to go back the next day but we ran out of time and had to get to the airport. If you can try and get a table in the wine room, it is so cute and you'll love every minute of it!

If you are looking for true authentic flavors look no further, dinner here features the coziness of a cafe with the delivery of a meal you will get at any 5 star restaurant. The menu is chefs choice and when the entree is gone it's gone, the wine room has selections that will compliment any dinner selection you might choose. Your hosts are gracious and welcoming. It's why we keep coming back !
