First time eating at a cajun restaurant and I was blown away by how good the food was. I enjoyed being able to choose the sides I wanted. Between the three of us we had gumbo, catfish, red beans and rice, mac and cheese, chicken, and we split a bucket of Louisiana beers. Next time we're in town, we will definitely come back.

Shuck'N Dive is a causal Louisiana style restaurant located in the Victoria Park Shoppes off of Federal Highway in Ft. Lauderdale. Shuck N' Dive was opened 25 years ago by owner Danny Stasi also known as Chef Staz and wife Meghan. Locals love this long time restaurant for its seafood and New Orleans dishes. It was so well received in Ft. Lauderdale that they finally opened a second location on the water in Islamorada in the Florida Keys. I dropped in one evening when I was in the area and in need of a quick dinner. I ended up sitting at the bar where everyone knew everyone else. They also have booths and tables and the walls are decorated with assorted New Orleans trinkets and memorabilia. Popular items on the menu include fried green tomatoes, po' boys, etouffees, and crawfish boudin. After looking at all of the mouth watering options on the menu I finally decided on the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich. The large hand breaded chicken breast was so flavorful with a kick from the seasoning but not too spicy. Next time I want to try the Bienville style oysters made with creamed onions, green peppers, bacon, garlic and pecorino Romano and the fried green tomatoes my friend swears by. Fans of Cajun food will enjoy this beloved South Florida landmark.

One of the best restaurants around!!! This place has always been a favorite of mine! It is always fresh, consistent, comes out fast, and is sooooooo delicious! Ask for Karen!! She is the BEST server! She is so kind, helpful, very attentive, and the coolest!!! My son and I loved having her as our server the last time we were there. Karen is the icing on the cake! Order the fried green tomatoes, crawfish mac n cheese, gator po boy, oyster po boy, green beans, tater tots, fried chicken...basically all of it!!! Honestly, EVERYTHING is unique and tasty. Very grateful to have walked in the doors here after living in town so many years. Excellent food and staff. Thanks to Cheryl for the great recommendations. The fried green tomatoes were the best we have had. We can say that for most of the food we tried. Looking forward to Wednesday oyster nights and more enjoyable visits in the future. Bravo.

The service/staff and food were AMAZING! This was our first time enjoying southern food and wanted to sample as much as possible - it did not disappoint. Fried green tomatoes, blackened alligator, hush puppies, blackened voodoo burger and the pulled pork special were fantastic. We highly recommend this for your stop in Ft. Lauderdale!

Love coming here. I ate here on a prior trip to Fort Lauderdale and had to revisit. Excellent food great service. I hate that the seafood platter is no longer available, but still good.

My husband and I ate here while staying in Ft. Lauderdale overnight. I picked Shuck N Dive because we really wanted oysters and love Cajun food. We ordered the ‘three way’ on the menu and you get three different styles of oysters. Then for dinner I got the crawfish étouffée because I saw photos of the dish and it looked so good. Our waitress brought the food and didn’t place our order for oysters. UGH but my dinner came and I was full. The food was great so I recommend the food but I was sad I didn’t get to have Oysters. My husband had the black & blue burger and said it was good.

First time trying Cajun food and couldn’t be happier! We had oysters and gator bites which were both very good and the gumbo was absolutely delicious! Staff was super friendly and extremely quick with service/ answering questions.

First time here, I hear I can have my dog outside so I’m 100% in. I make the mistake of letting the leash out of my hand for my dog to say hi to the next table. He immediately goes after the dog ( I didn’t see). Long story short both the customers and staff didn’t try to punish his behavior and all were unbelievably kind. I work as a bartender and will tell all, come for their great food, you will then experience the great service!

I got the crawfish étouffée because i found it the most suggested by users and everyone is right! This dish does not disappoint 👏 also we got the blackened alligator just to try it out , definitely a must.

Skip this place if you want to and you’ll be missing out on some amazing crawfish étouffée. Our first order had a minor glitch but they fixed it quickly. Saw the reviews and said it’s a must try. We were quickly seated around lunch time and the server was awesome, friendly and offered good suggestions for food and drinks. The Hurricane was okay. The chicken wings are fried to perfection but lack any type of seasoning. Even with the sauce they are still lackluster. I wasn’t disappointed with the crab legs. Eat it while it’s hot and it’s beyond amazing. I prefer the Oysters Bienville from my favorite spot in NOLA but these were a good second. I probably wouldn’t order again. There are so many other items I would have tried but Im not trying to be in a total food coma in the middle of the day. We sat outside on the patio and the ambiance was festive and took us back to many visits in NOLA. I would definitely come back again. And i hope you give this place a try too. Good vibes, the food was great with the exception of white rice (no flavor and it was not hot/warm) like the other food. I had the Mahi Mardi Gras and my friend had the Skirt Steak. The cocktails has the right kick, we had Hurricane and Rum Punch. I'll come back again when I'm in town. They did not disappoint, but don't get white rice, LOL. Our waiter, was great, though I forgot his name.

I live in Florida but my family is from Louisiana/ New Orleans and every time I go to shuck n dive I feel at home!!! The fried green tomatoes are my favorite they are perfection!! I have them every time I go but I always try to try something new and yesterday it was the stuffed sausage!! It was delicious I've also had the gumbo also delicious 😋 whenever I get home sick this is the place to be!! Great food great staff great place! 😍💙❤️

Love this place! You can never go wrong with the Larry Cobb salad! I've had several items on the menu....Fried Green Tomatoes are wonderful...My only and only thing is...The Gumbo taste like it came from a can. The Gumbo gets no stars....but would still recommend SND to anyone�
