Review Truluck's Restaurant - Fort Lauderdale

One doesn’t need luck to dine at Truluck’s…Just a thick wallet or a platinum credit card. The experience, however, was mesmerizing. My heart sank when Truluck’s closed at the Galleria Mall on Sunrise BL in 2020, likely due to COVID as so many other fine dining establishments also folded through the thrust of the pandemic. Heart palpitations surged when I heard about its reopening on Fort Lauderdale’s Central Beach boasting true modern elegance at (701 N. Fort Lauderdale BL at the base of the Luxury Paramount Condominium (701 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach BL 33304). Breathtaking! Superlatives come short of describing the impeccable service and superior cuisine designed for royalty. Titus, our server, and his crew a dedicated and flawless service without rushing. This was the perfect ambiance to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Beyond the stunning surrounding visuals, Titus presented us, each with a cocktail and wine menu book and a tall dinner menu book; upon opening them, all our faces lit up from the bright lights emerging from the lighted menus — reminiscent of a Harry Potter movie when the gang would have discovered and opened a magical box. We placed our cocktail and wine orders. Promptly, the drinks arrived by the crew while Titus explained the menu and its features. We started off with a bunch of sharable appetizers for the table: 2 orders of spicy Italian meatballs and 2 orders of perfectly prepared fried calamari plates. Stunningly delicious! Our entrees were: a broiled salmon topped with crab meat and shrimp over seasoned cauliflower rice, 2 had the miso-glazed sea bass over crab fried rice, one ordered a colossal filet mignon brochette with at least 8oz of tender cubed filets cooked medium-rare to perfection. And, 2 of us went for broke ordering our own plate of jumbo stone grabs freshly brought in from Miami, each morning, not frozen — sweet, tender, succulent! The sides were à là carte order. All sharable portions, we ordered sauteed mushrooms, Lyonnaise potatoes, sauteed asparagus over mashed potatoes, and a boat of parmesan cauliflower rice complemented our table along with a couple of bottles of Pino Grigio. The pièce de résistance was the table-side prepared baked Alaska for the celebrant. Though some stone crab purists might cringe, I assertively give Truluck’s equal billing with Joe’s Stone Crabs in Miami. Be prepared for a $100/person tab not including alcoholic beverages, tax, and gratuity. $15 for valet plus tip. Photos, video, and arrangements

I was looking for an amazing and elegant place for my now 12 year old daughter, Amerie, to have an over the top birthday experience. From the host stand to the table, it was a very welcoming experience. I thought my 4 children would feel out of place yet Keona our server, helped make it an amazing experience they will never forget. Keona suggestions for a simple quick appetizer to the baked Alaska dessert finisher, was a perfect suggestion and an over the top birthday experience for my 12 year old. Keona was very helpful and treated my kids and I like royalty. I/we are a very happy and thankful family that has definitely found a new regular place to eat. We will definitely be back. Wow everything was perfect. Great place for anniversary, birthday events, I celebrated my birthday at Trulucks and it was amazing the food,the place,the personal service… Thank you so much!

What a wonderful overall experience! From the moment we walked in the restaurant, and were greeted by the hostesses all staff were so friendly accommodating. Our server Luis was absolutely amazing and the service was over the top! The crab cakes are best by far, Caesar salad, absolutely amazing, and I would definitely recommend the snapper Pontchartrain! Everything was absolutely delicious! The DJ set off a great vibe and played a very electic mix of music. We had a wonderful time, and we are so glad that Truluck’s is now back in Fort Lauderdale. Please go, you won’t be disappointed!

The service and food was spectacular. As a former restaurateur I recognize and appreciate consistency, quality and exceptional service. The highlights of our night were Mathew, Vince, Rick, Sam and Crystal. We have been patronizing Truluck's for 11 years. This year was especially important for our group of friends. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. An amazing evening of excellent logistics (thanks Rick), wonderful attention to details of food and her birthday (thanks Jennifer), and delicious crisp and refined wine pairing (thanks Sammy). Many others insured we felt warm, festive, and supported.

Rick was an excellent server. Fun evening. Sea bass and calamari were terrific. Should be in listed recommendations. Didn’t love the noodle flavor with the tuna. Desserts were great especially the carrot cake!

First time at Trulucks Oceanfront Restaurant. Fantastic!!! From the moment you enter, to the bar and to the restaurant, just fantastic!!! Staff is so very friendly and welcoming, service is first class , no rush whatsoever and the food second to none! May be the best in Lauderdale! Can’t wait to go back and it will be soon!!!

Our party of 22 so enjoyed the exquisite atmosphere, food and live music of Trulucks. Special thanks to the manager by providing us with a private room. The food was definitely worth waiting for as well as dessert. The servers did an excellent job. Thanks Steve for taking special care of our table. I will definitely return when I’m in South Florida. Kudos for making our birthday celebration even more special.

Me and my Wife are from Jacksonville, FL and we celebrated our Anniversary on Thursday Night. It was our 1st experience at Trulucks and we were so impressed from the minute we walked through the door. Great Valet Service, Warm and Friendly Staff, and Excellent Food. Also not to mention the Bartender was Great & Knowledgeable. His name was Jack and he made me a drink Called The Slow Burn...👍👍. I was in heaven. There is so much more I could say about this place, but honestly words cannot sum up the experience you will receive if u give this place shot. We are definitely coming back in the near future. 😀

Our server Michael was attentive and personable. Atmosphere was comfortable and the food was such a delight. An evening with friends was outstanding.

Trulucks is as reliable as any chain. Same wherever you go. What sets it apart is that it’s an upscale restaurant with typical S Florida casual chic atmosphere. Food and service were great. Each of our party of 4 ordered the all you can eat stone carb claws. Wish I could eat more as it was an $85 entree.

Truly EXCEPTIONAL! The service was fantastic, Mateo was our server and he was spot on! My boyfriend has a severe food allergy and he made us feel so comfortable and handled it with charm. This was some of the best service I've ever had. The filet was cooked to perfection and the lobster mashed potatoes were amazing! JJ was our bartender while we waited to be sat he was super friendly and welcoming. The team here is unbelievable, I'm so happy we choose to go here for dinner last night!

Absolutely love Trulucks Fort Lauderdale! The stone crab lounge offers up the very best happy hour in South Florida with live music nightly and the most talented bartenders and incredible food.

Amazing seafood and great service. There were 4 of us and we all had something different, i had crab cakes, my husband had lobster tail and my son had scallops. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I highly recommend TruLuck’s.

Spent our 5 year anniversary here and had Naomi as our server - she rocked it! From the rose petals on the table, to our stone crab app, our entrees (Sweet & Spicy Yellowtail for him and Miso Glazed Seabass for me) and the baked Alaska dessert, I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate.
