Excellent food and wine! We had crab cakes for appetizer and I had the trout with rice and asparagus which were delicious. My husband had a beef dish with potatoes! Also very good!
Staying at Davis Mountains State Park? This place should definitely be on your agenda for dining! One of the best steaks we have ever had....and we usually eat at high dollar steak restaurants like Flemings, etc. Service was great and the Coconut Cream Pie was amazing!
Such a cute restaurant with excellent food and service. My steak was cooked perfect and the Trout was so delicious. The herbed butter was so tasty we asked for the recipe. My martini was perfect and my husband's pecan pie was to die for! Thanks for making our trip complete with this fabulous dinner!!

I love the decoration; I couldn't stop admiring all the beautiful things in there. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Definitively will return to Blue Mountain Bistro.

We were just there this weekend for our 49th Anniversry. The food was absolutely wonderful as well as the service and beautiful restaurant and gardens.. Our waiter even took a photo for us to remember! I had the "caprice salad" with the Chicken Penne Pasta. Loved it, can't wait to come back another time! I want to try "the Porch" next time!

Blue Mountain Bistro was a wonderful surprise. Just didn't expect to find such a sophisticated but yet down home place in Ft. Davis. The margaritas were awesome along with the food.

This is a great choice to eat. We were only in Fort Davis for the evening, and I think we made the right choice choosing Blue Mountain Bar and Grill. I recommend coming here for an early dinner before the star party at the McDonald Observatory.
We were seated immediately, and we chose outside dining. It took maybe 35 minutes before any server stopped by our table to greet us and we weren’t told about the wait from the host…so that was a bit disheartening…especially when the servers first went to tables of the same size who were seated after us. However, it did seem like the restaurant was super busy. Just our experience. I still recommend the restaurant if you’re visiting!
Robert, our server was fantastic. The food was amazing. I'm always worried about dining at small town fine dining locations but Blue Mountain did not disappoint. A must if your staying in the area. They have your classic dishes with a local twist. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.
We shared the brisket tacos, 4 small tacos & spicy ranch water. Sorry y’all but we ate the tacos before we could take pics of them, but they were really good. The dish we ordered was suppose to come w cilantro rice, but it was missing. We never asked for it either. I also didn’t care for the house sauce (still really good though) on them but my girlfriend liked it. I don’t care for the sauces. Prices are average.
Nice dining in downtown Fort Davis with some real Texas food, try the Texas Tumbleweed starter- surprising and good. Prickly Pear Margarita was another highlight. Chicken Fried Steak pictured
What a great evening! Chef Luke is amazing! The potatoes and vegetables were delicious. The meat was OUTSTANDING! Locally-sourced beef and pork. Mmmmmmm.

Food was good but my drink was missing tajin rim and the Brisket tacos was missing the cilantro lime rice. The service was very good.
Came to Fort Davis for some work and stopped in with the work crew. Very impressed with the atmosphere and food presentation. To break the ice, we asked our server if he knew any magic tricks and he brought another server (Christopher )who did!
Our server (Robert) was cordial, however he was very overwhelmed with too many tables. Something very noticeable was the lack of management presence to help the server staff catch up on drink refills and make sure guests were satisfied.
The food was still very good and I think they did the best they could considering. Our server wrote us a pretty great haiku for us.
In an upscale restaurant like this, management absolutely needs to be present on the floor to ensure prompt service.
