Aspen Grille

I'm a big fan of the Aspen Grille, a CSU student-run restaurant located in the Lory Student Center (room 388). This restaurant is a learning lab for the hospitality management students. They learn everything how to manage a restaurant from food prep, cooking, and serving - so cool! Pictured here is the salmon poke bowl. It was delicious!

The pricing is good, the food also tastes good when it's made right. I am allergic to onions. Not deathly allergic, but if i eat any it will ruin the rest of my day. Last time i was there they put onions on my lamb burger and i specifically asked them not to on my salad or burger. Salad came out fine, but not the burger. I told the waitress she needed to have it remade because the onion already contaminated the other ingredients on the food. From where i was sitting i could see everything take place. She took it in to the kitched the restaurant manager pulled the onions off and stuck the bun back on and brought it out 1 min. Later. I told the waitress her manager is an f****** moron and if i didnt see him do that i could have gotten sick. The manager didnt care. Unfortunately Tony Frank was eating there that day and i wasnt going to make a seen. I simply gave her back my food and told her i am not paying for my meal and i would only pay for my drink. If you have a food allergy this is not the place to come to. I even told the waitress that there are people who have allergiea way worse than me and might have to go to the hospital over such negligence. She shrugged her shoulders and walked away without a care in the world. What is the point of getting a hotel and restaurant management degree if you dont care about your customers? Apparently the manager wasnt properly trained in running a restaurant or a kitchen. I got zero apology from him and honestly i kind of hope someone gets really sick and sue the crap out of that restaurant for their carelessness.
