Haven’t eaten a lot at this restaurant but we do eat there about twice a year when we pass through. They offer a very good selection on their menu and a buffet with a wide variety of choices. Atmospheric here is casual and one can shop their gift offerings much like at the Cracker Barrel though without the bells and whistles of a franchised business. We find the food to be very good and enjoy looking around. Service was great, and everyone was pleasant. Food was served with a smile and a southern accent. We will continue to visit this restaurant any time we are in the area.
Good place, we enjoyed, has a lot of meats on the buffet, easy access from I 40, good service, highly recommend
Absolutely loved the food ! If and when we travel this way we will be stopping for sure ! And the staff is so friendly which always makes it a better experience! Would def recommend the hot beef sandwich, chicken fried steak and the patty melts !
Decided to give it a try while traveling through the area. Absolutely awesome soul food! Ate way too much from the buffet line.
We eat at Ole Sawmill usually every week and the food is always good! Especially the fried chicken, it's the best I've ever eaten!

A familiar stop in Forrest City has a legacy that goes back three quarters of a century. Let's take a look at The Ole Sawmill Cafe. The front porch is littered with old contraptions - a cola box, a non-functional. cigarette dispenser, a washing machine. The old weathered wood bears signs from discontinued products. But the scent of good food still wafts through the doors.
A little pricey. Buffet was good, but never great. A lot of the food needs salt and pepper. Brisket and fried chicken were good on all visits.
Hard to fine but worth the time Cost was very reasonable For just a plain buffet it good hot and tasty Nothing fancy but clean if I am back in this area at meal time I would stop again
Big southern style buffet. The food was fresh and tasty. Atmosphere was plain but servers were friendly. Chicken, ribs, and lots of southern veggies. The desserts were lacking but the food was good for the price. Don't go expecting Cracker Barrel but go for a county small town restaurant.
This place is fantastic soul-food southern cooking. The Buffett must be what thanksgiving is like in Arkansas. The only draw back is you will need a nap afterwards.

Love the Stewman's worked there for almost 4 years. Great people! I remember the day we opened up the door in FC. Best bread pudding you will ever put into your mouth! Fried chicken. Is the best ever! Sunday the have turkey, ham, dressing, fried chicken, and so much more if you're ever passing through on a Sunday especially and you love country cooking this is your Stop! Salad bar one the best ever and always fresh you can just order soup n salad bar! There's always eat off the menu as well as the huge buffet! Did I mention the dessert buffet #1 bread pudding! Cheeseburger is one the best you will ever have not a frozen patty it's the real deal! The staff is always great friendly. Travelers were always some my favorite people! Easy access to and from interstate east an west bound. If you love southern cooking and you want fast friendly service Sawmill is for you! I have to admit it's can be a little pricey but you get what you pay for as they say! Comparable in price to cracker barrel with much more to choices! If you get the buffet hope you're hungry! It's so worth it. Best southern Tea ever!!! Hope you enjoy!
Ate there on our way back from Missouri! It was a nice accidental discovery! Really good catfish and fried chicken and the bread pudding was excellent! It was $45 for 2 adults buffets and 2 kids buffets with drinks plus tip. Will eat here again if ever in Forrest City Arkansas.

Not much atmosphere but who eats the atmosphere. Stopped here on a Friday night and did I enjoy the southern buffet or what! What it lacks in atmosphere - it has in the quality and abundance in good and savory food. Thanks Sawmill!

Great Place to Stop. We were traveling on I-40 & saw their signs and decided to try it and I am glad we did! The fried chicken was to die for, big salad bar & selection of vegetables. My son had a cheeseburger & it was real meat not a frozen patty. I also tried the bread pudding and it was some of the best I have ever had. We will definitely be stopping there anytime we are passing through.
Best Southern Fried Chicken in the South. This is the largest buffet I have ever seen and the food is to-die-for. Best Southern Fried Chicken, best butter beans, best hamburgers, best shrimp, and dozens of great items and very reasonably priced. Don't miss it! I stop here every time I pass near by Forrest City. I would eat here every day if I could.

Really delicious food at reasonable prices. The buffet has many vegetables and meats all perfectly cooked. They also have a salad bar and a dessert bar with several homemade desserts. The gift shop has many cute items as well.
Found this little local gem passing thru, near Walmart. Really good like home-cooked breakfast buffet, really nice waitress. I would highly recommend this charming restaurant.
I spent a whole week having breakfast and dinner in this restaurant, the flavor of the brisket and the smoked pork is really addicting ... if you want to eat fast and at a great price and enjoy the atmosphere ... this is the place. You can also bring souvenirs to remember the experience and culture of this pleasant place.
And for dessert lovers they serve a variety of local desserts which is one of the things I went for several times.
Delicious southern cookin' Buffet style serve yourself. Friendly wait staff great Food turkey and dressing, all sorts of chicken excellent selection of sides and the cheeseburger soup was out of this world. I would recommend to anyone. I usually stop in Forrest city on my way to and from home I'll definitely make this a regular stop from now on. 5 stars. Oh and a great gift shop attached. They have all kinds of great stuff in the also. Check em out!!
Excellent buffet with an abundance of meat, vegetables, and salad choices. The restaurant was clean and servers kept the buffet clean and tidy as well. I gave only 4 stars because 2 if the staff didn't keep their mask over their nose and mouth.
