This is a legit bread bakery. They have bread made in the french tradition, but with the tastiness of WeSoCo (West Sonoma County). Lucky for me it's close to my house because their fresh epi and baguettes are best the day of purchase, but they will keep if properly stored. Don't miss the loaves, with specialties for each day of the week. And treat yourself to a cookie or two with unique flavors and textures to redefine delicious.

Discovered this little gem by accident when strolling through my new neighborhood and sprawling town of Forestville. One look in the display window and I could tell these guys are making quality product. I’ve only tried the sour dough Batard loaf but it was as excellent with the hard crust and soft tangy baked dough inside. I can’t wait to try other items.

Their bread is always so fresh (usually still warm from the oven 😍) and so absolutely delicious. I love when they offer their special teacakes, those have become a favorite of mine. I even have sent one home with my boyfriend who lives in Texas when he came to visit.

Nightingale Bakery lives up to its name. It has been there for us in the past year of this difficult time. Outstanding breads, special products, amazing service, sweet people, and all in a very darling shop with a woodfired brick oven. It has an easy access location, near ATM and coffee shop. Whether traveling through or local, this bread is most definitely 5 star.

Epi Baguettes are one of those showcase breads that is incredibly hard to make well but can be incredible and at Nightingale they are the best. Nightingale is absolutely worth a visit.

Yes, the 'bread lines' in Forestville during the pandemic have definitely been worth it for those of us who live to eat as well as eat to live :) Excellent pizza dough, baking supplies, cheeses and charcuterie, jams and cookies as well as wood fired oven freshly baked breads and my favorite: chocolate thimbles.

I've spent 30 years in kitchens and understand how taxing it can be to be a baker. It's a passion thing, cuz nobody's getting rich doing it. So I take my hat off to those that facilitate my breaking of bread with family and friends. That being said,,,, these people knock it out of the park and I can taste the love and effort in every bite. The best of Sonoma County is right here in Forestville. Check for their hours of business so you don't get bummed if they're not open. I've tried em all and your still the best little bakery around. Thanks Ladies!!!!

Absolutely one of the best bakeries around. All of their products are great; but epi bread; on Saturdays only; is a must. Nothing like it around. A pull apart baguette of sorts that is the perfect addition to any picnic. Our family and friends have spent many a hot summers day on the beach at the river sharing epi bread. YUM!!!

The best bread in Sonoma. Opening hours are sometimes a mystery but worth figuring out when they are open and buying as much bread as you can stomach.

Honestly, the seeded sourdough is the absolutely best bread we have ever eaten! We refuse to buy sandwich bread in the supermarket anymore. Try it yourself. You’ll see what we mean!

Beth has created a very special French bakery, just simple stone oven baked great breads, totally delicious cinnamon rolls on saturdays. Just wish there was more time in the week they could open their doors.

Amazing breads, and a rotating menu so there is something different very day. Most (possibly all) are baked in their wood-fired oven. My only complaint is that they are cash-only.
