Great Japanese grocery store with reasonable pricing. They have ready to eat hot food too. They also carries other Asian pantry items like Thai curry, fish sauce, etc.

I love this store so much. Everything I walk in I feel transported to a Japanese convine store. It's cute and cozy. They offer a variety of groceries and hot food as well as produce. The new location is even bigger and I can't wait for them to stock even more things from Japan. They are also reasonable prices and run weekly sale. A hidden gem in Forest hills and a must visit.

Sakura-Ya on Austin St is an absolute hidden gem, and it's an easy 5/5 stars for me. What sets this place apart, in my opinion, are their delightful bento boxes and the incredible selection of Japanese grocery snacks.
Let's start with the bento boxes. They're nothing short of fantastic. Each bento box at Sakura-Ya is a masterpiece of balance and flavor. Whether you go for the classic sushi options or the teriyaki delights, you're in for a treat. The freshness of the ingredients shines through, and the presentation is exquisite. It's like having a taste of Japan right in the heart of Austin St.
But that's not all – Sakura-Ya's Japanese grocery snack selection is a treasure trove for anyone who appreciates authentic Japanese treats. From Pocky to mochi, senbei to Japanese candies, they have it all. It's a paradise for snack enthusiasts and those looking for unique, hard-to-find items.
The staff at Sakura-Ya are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They're more than happy to guide you through their selection, offer recommendations, and share their passion for Japanese cuisine and snacks.
Whether you're a seasoned lover of Japanese cuisine or someone looking to explore new flavors, Sakura-Ya on Austin St is a must-visit. Their bento boxes and Japanese grocery snacks will tantalize your taste buds and leave you wanting more. It's a true culinary and snacking adventure, and they've certainly earned their 5/5 stars in my book.

Nice, clean, and cute asian store. Not a lot of variety but carries basic ingredients for most Asian cuisine.

Great variety of Japanese/ Asian products…make sure you try their home made food, especially gyoza(dumplings) and the onigiri( rice triangles filled with either chicken, pork or salmon)

Small japanese grocery store that carries a bit of everything. Nice gem in the neighborhood. I come here for their ready made meals for a quick and convenient lunch. They have since expanded and moved across the street next to SS natural market. The new location is much bigger and has a larger variety of items and produce.
