Review Taci's Authentic Turkish Restaurant - Forest Hills

MOST DELICIOUS BAKLAVA EVER! I asked Ana it’s made right here! Delicious food, relaxing environment and nice staff! The mixed grill is a good deal! Get it with the Shepard’s salad and mint yoghurt and you will be more then satisfied! Mixed grill honestly is good for two people. Value meal as you get to taste all their meat in one dish! We also ordered the two soups on the menu, red lentil and chicken vegetable. I thought both were good but the chicken was more popular with our group.

Wonderful Turkish spot in queens. Flavors are authentic and delicious. Gets busy fri- sat and service understandably slows down a bit but they pay a great deal of attention when your table is up. Good for families and overall nice change of pace in the area. Get the mixed grill and the baklava!

We recently ordered take out from here for some family and friends around 9-10 people. The food was absolutely delicious but I did the quantities could have been better but the price wasn’t so bad. Everyone enjoyed it especially we had a Turkish guest who said the food is on par and every authentic.

Went here for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We had the shepherd's salad with feta, which tasted pretty great since it was a hot day! Also had the adana kebab and sujuckli pida. Both were nicely seasoned. Best part was the side pita bread! It was fresh and fluffy on the side while crispy on the outside. The waitress told us it was fresh from the oven and it definitely tasted like it! We also had some Turkish tea at the end (as you should after any Turkish meal). My only complaint was the baklava, which was more dry than moist. Compared to other Turkish restaurants, Taci's baklava didn't hit that post-meal sweet spot. To address some of the other inappropriate and hateful comments I spotted on other reviews: The music does not sound like a refugee camp. It sounds like Turkish pop music that I heard plenty during my trip to Turkey. Get your languages straight. The place isn't dirty. I didn't spot any mice or insects during my visit. It was quite clean, better than some other spots I've tried along Metropolitan Ave actually. The waitress was very helpful. Did not experience any attitude or hostility. And finally, the rating was an A when I visited.

Love this place! I come here all the time because the food and service is so great. The setting is lively in the evening hours. The kabobs are so delicious and so are all the appetizers. The staff is very friendly and they are really wonderful people once you get to know them.

Best Turkish in Queens for sure and maybe the best in the 5 boros!. My hubby and I have been to most if not all of the Turkish restaurants in the 5 boros! The prices make it the best value we have found for Turkish food in NY! We didn't realize until the last visit that there were 7 kinds of Turkish pizza. We usually just ask for Turkish pizza they say something in Turkish and we say okay. We did not realize they brought different kinds. They speak English but Turkish pizza is just what Americans call it. They were calling it by the proper name. This is like eating in a Turkish friends home The location in Forest Hills is just up the street from Wafa's. The same owner as the one in Brooklyn but now the one in Brooklyn he handed over to his step son so the original chef and owner is in Forest Hills. We used to go to the Jersey shore almost every weekend in the summer and have fresh sea food. Most of the restaurants on the shore that we go to have their own boats. Since I won't be going to the shore every weekend due to my health. I am glad I found a restaurant with fresh sea food , great prices great hours and service! They have the same or similar menu as the original in Brooklyn. The prices are good and they serve large portions, it is a really good value Everything is exceptional! It is family owned and they are warm welcoming people. The fish was probably the best and freshest cooked fish I have ever had in NYC! My husband said he thought it was the best too! Here is what we had also see pictures. hot fresh bread mixed grill Shish Kabobs pan fried Tilapia Shepherds salad Turkish pizza Baklava Shredded Baklava (we have since been back and had more than what I listed in this review) Each and every dish was delectable! My husband thought the fish at Taci's was the best cooked fish he has had anywhere in NY state! Since I wrote this we went back again with a baby almost 1 years old. She is really energetic and loud She was making a lot of noise in the restaurant and I was relived that it didn't bother the restaurant workers or other patrons. They even made special baby yogurt and bread dishes for her! You can't go wrong here at Taci's! If you like sea food , meat, or Turkish food of any kind of want to try something different for a good price with a good value Taci's is a sure bet!

Delicious, not spicy, right sized portions. We were served warm bread with the cucumber mint yogurt sauce appetizer. Must try the Red lentil soup. Staff is very cordial.

This was my second time at this establishment and I was pleasantly surprised, again! Previously I have tried their Iskender Kebap (Gyro with yogurt and tomato sauce) and it was awesome. The best I had in US honestly. Same goes for gyro. This time I had lahmacun (Turkish pizza), soup and borek. They were all truly amazing. Freshly made, delicious and crisp! Staff is friendly, prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. Definitely worth a stop at every NYC trip.

Great food and nice ambience.

I go here for the starters, especially the eggplant with tomato and stuffed eggplant. Their bread is the best I've had at a turkish place. I'm not a fan of anything they put in yogurt, nor how they spice their meats, but their fish/seafood is well done.

Taci's serves some of the best Turkish food that Queens has to offer. I would highly recommend a pairing of their Sheppard's salad with their mixed grill with Lahmachun as an appetizer. You won't be disappointed.

Would you like to taste real Turkish food, then this place is for you. Food is fantastic, try their mixed grill served with hot sautéed pepper and fresh onion. 5 stars

This casual place has a lot of "pros" going for it. It's BYOB with no cork fees. The food is seriously awesome! One definite negative is that it's not easy to get to by public transportation.
