Quiet place. Peaceful. Food is fast, staff don't hover over you, and anytime my water cup was empty they filled in without me asking. As I said, fast. Tastes great though. Update: their menu has expanded a LOT. Very tasty new stuff.

We took the train to eat here on a recommendation, and now i wish i lived closer. The miso veggie ramen is amazing, although i think the chicken is too tough, but that hot sauce is like nothing I've ever had. 😋 the patato pancakes are yummy, too. It's a tight fit in there, though. I prefer more open spaces to dine.

Cozy Ramen restaurant with a variety of other Japanese dishes offered. The decor is a dark wooden interior and large photos of the menu options so you can easily read the menu. The miso ramen was great. The Tamashii ramen was good, noodles have a slight sea food taste to them. Gyoza were wonderful.

We’ve visited Tamashii Ramen in Forest Hills many times and have NEVER been disappointed. We’ve tried most of their ramen dishes along with some of their appetizers and entrees and they’ve all been fresh and very tasty. Our favorites are the Buta ramen, seafood Champon ramen and the Tantanmen. Their salmon teriyaki is also delicious as are their steamed buns with kani. Service is always good and food is always fresh! Recommend 100%.

I had a lovely evening here with my lover and some friends after a fun game of bowling 🎳 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Across the board ✨ The flavor was flavoring, the presentation was presenting, there was hardly anything negative to say! When we arrived it was already kinda crowded, so there was a 20-25 minute wait time, but it wasn't bad. The waiters were very attentive and polite. Everyone who was seated already was vibing; adults, kids, even teens. Whether you order ramen, an appetizer, a soup or a rice bowl, you will NOT be disappointed by the harmonious blend of flavors~ ✨ I totally see myself coming back here again. 💕

Tamashii Ramen is my favorite Ramen place to go in the neighborhood. So far I have tried Takoyaki, Tamashii Ramen, Shoyu Ramen, Champon, Veggie Ramen, and Katsu set. Among them my favorite is Champon that has A LOT OF SEAFOOD in it. My Japanese friends recommended here and that's how I got to visit Tamashii for the first time. Its food is not pretentious, just right on point. I liked the fact that they do not add any *asia-tic* craps to look exotic or whatever.. It's just plain Ramen, with the taste that it's supposed to be. And of course, you can't really beat their price! (Lunch special is just glorious. Where can you eat lunch with this food quality & price & service on Austin st?). Super attentive servers as well - they'd notice right away if you want more water! Great job, Tamashii!

Came here to celebrate a family member’s graduation and was first time. Ordered shrimp gyoza, takoyaki, and ebi potatoes. Wifey ordered the shrimp teriyaki. Everything tasted great. I do wish the serving size was slightly bigger but was delicious. Seating ear is kinda small - maybe 30 people max. But luckily came right before the dinner rush and managed to get seated right away.

I really liked this place. Everything about Tamashii was really dope . Very relaxed and welcoming environment. The service was great, the waitress really knew the menu and was able to make suggestions based on my wants. The ramen was delicious, had all right blend of flavors and spices just the way I like it, extra hot. I could of drunk the broth alone and been satisfied. They give a great portion where you won’t leave hungry. And best of all it’s really affordable.
