Okefenokee Restaurant

Went in at 6:30 looking for a good meal. We drove 45 minutes and no meat on the bar. They waited til there big party came in to start cooking. This is the last drive for us. Yes friendly staff and pretty clean. Only one waitress and she was working like crazy but Not even a refill. The girl started putting water in the food and stirring it. I understand that but, when you add water to mash potatoes they lose there flavor. Save your money and eat a jiffy store sandwich.

6-11-22. Swung in for lunch. Buffet was good, not great but good. Server was a very friendly young lady that did a good job. Restaurant had that small town feel you don't see much anymore. Would be 5 stars but they were a little slow keeping the buffet full so had to wait a couple times for food to come out.

Great selection of Southern food for a small town buffet. My kids loved the fish...it wasn't too greasy! There's a salad bar as well. The waitress even offered the kids fries since they were getting the buffet. Vanilla and strawberry ice cream cups were included for dessert . The service was perfect and the food was tasty. I did expect banana pudding or peach cobbler, but didn't need it so I'm not complaining since we are for less than $20.

Driving home down 301 and see this little restaurant. Decided to take a chance. Surprised to see a buffet. We decided to skip that and have a burger and a sandwich. They were good. The service was great. The place was as clean as you would expect from a small, rural town. Not a must go to, but great in a pinch.

UPDATED IN RESPONSE TO OWNER: I was not told anything else other than what I said. I was not offered a seat ... I was not offered anything. I was not asked exactly where I read the hours were posted so they could be changed ... I was told exactly what I said. Furthermore, I would prefer to support small businesses and I love the charm of small towns. Your rude response to my post further shows you do not care. Again, no apology and you did not update your hours here. I am very approachable and you could have easily showed me you cared without attacking me; a one star rating could have easily been changed. WARNING - HOURS AND WEB IMFORMATION ARE NOT ACCURATE! I went there today at 1:45. After waiting in line for ten minutes, behind 6 people who were checking out, I was told we could not be seated because they close at 2 on Sunday's. I said: "your website says 8, you really should change that". The reply was: "those are the old owners hours and information, we can not get on the website to change it". No apology! Well, I'm staying in the area for 2 months and have to eat all my meals out. I will not go back again. Believe me, if they cared they could change it. At very least they could post as I did ... Funny thing - I just went to their website and I would be able able to change their hours .. no problem. They really don't care!
