Pho Metro

I first came to this restaurant because I drove to flushing and it has a sizeable parking lot in front of it (shared with a grocery store and a few other establishments) but I left as a loyal customer. The pho was fresh and overly heavy in flavor. The iced viet coffee was also one of the best I’ve had. After my first visit, I was not writing reviews yet but I have come a second time and now I’m leaving a review. This establishment is very clean, has great customer service, and has a bathroom. We ordered iced viet coffees, a new appetizer on their menu called goi ga, pho chin, and a bun bo hue. The viet coffees are strong and dark but the condensed milk balances out the flavors beautifully. We learned that the recipe for the coffee also called for some hazelnut to make it a little nutty. It’s so good, you must try it! The goi ga was crunchy, umami, and cold. It was a great appetizer and nothing like I’ve ever had before. The flavors blended well together but if you don’t like the flavor of fish sauce, you should probably stay away. The pho chin was great as usual and came out hot. I didn’t try the bun bo hue but my friend gave it two thumbs up!
