This restaurant gives homey family run vibes. Staff is very friendly, attentive and polite. They start the table off with warm tortilla chips and delicious salsa. They have many options to choose from and combinations platters are great if you want a mix of a few things. This is definitely a spot we will return to in the Keys!

This is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to in my entire life. The food, staff, and atmosphere were all a 10/10. It is so beautiful inside and everyone was very friendly, kind, and welcoming. But the best part of this restaurant is of course the delicious food served. I ordered the flautas and carne asada and it was the most heavenly food to ever touch my tongue. This was an entirely different experience from the food I have eaten my entire life as I am a little white boy. I can’t believe I’ve gone the first 19 years of my life missing out on this. I went with my mexican boyfriend as well and he says it was very authentic and the best mexican food down here. I almost cried eating this food tonight. It was genuinely heaven on earth, the most delectable food I’ve had in my life. My eyes were watering and my lips quivering as I ate this delicious food. To the wonderful servers, staff, and cooks, I hope you all have wonderful and happy lives because you have certainly changed mine for the better. I love this restaurant so much and will for sure be returning very soon.
Fantastic Mexican food in Key West. The tacos were amazing, the burrito was great, and the enchilada was very good. Service was fantastic. I went there 3 times in the 10 days I was in Key West.
Stopped here when we were craving some tacos and lucky for us the special for today was quesa birria tacos, you can order just the tacos or with rice&beans (we ordered two with rice and beans)
When you're first seated they bring a basket of tortilla chips and salsa while you wait for your food
Everything was delicious , the cilantro on the tacos really brought in so much flavor I loved it
Then we ordered the cinnamon sugar sopaipillas (fried donut holes/munchkins) with honey butter dip. Superb!
Total for 2 mains, 2 beers, one dessert was $68

The only taco place I would ever recommend. Servers are so friendly and outgoing, and guided me to the right menu items of what I wanted. Their fresh catch ceviche is incredible, and has so much great flavor. From the limes to the fish itself, it's definitely a dish to try. I tried their fish taco dinner, and it was amazing. Making my own taco was fun. Their habanero sauce is extremely spicy if you ask for it, so be careful 😅 but it definitely goes great on dishes.
We stopped here on a whim while traveling to Key West and we are glad we did. The staff greeted us with smiles and we we seated immediately. Chips and salsa came out right away and the were delicious. The menu is smallish but there were still a lot of choices. We both ordered a tamale and it was crazy delicious and one of the best we’ve ever had. I got the nachos and my wife got the chimichanga. The nachos were great but the chimichanga was wrapped in such a way that there was a big wad of dough on one side and it was tough. The filling was delicious though. This is the only reason i didn’t give them a 5 star review. The stop was definitely with it.

As soon as you enter Chico’s you know you are in a special place. You are greeted warmly and it’s usually by the owner, Jeff. The atmosphere is inviting and you know your meal is going to be extraordinary. We dined on Cinco de Mayo and the restaurant had a perfect low key celebration. We dined out on the patio and the temp and surroundings were just right. The chips and salsa are memorable and there is a reason they are additional for refills. It’s that good and worth it. The star of the day was the daily specials. We had the Quesa Birria Tacos and the Chicken Pipian Verde. These two dishes were 5star prep, taste and portion.
Jeff’s son Ashton was our server and you can tell he has the same love and philosophy for the business as his father.
There is a reason Jeff has been in business for over 39 years. Here’s to another 39!
Parking is really not that bad. Be patient, kind and you’ll get a spot.

This was hands down the BEST RESTAURANT we visited. The wait staff were amazing!! Very knowledgeable of the menu, very personalable, and fast! Kept our drinks refilled and even brought out pitchers for our convenience. Huge portions of food and it was all hands down the best! The atmosphere is warm and friendly, we sat on the back deck outside and while it was hot outside they had many fans that it felt very good and we were comfortable. Seafood enchiladas were top notch!!
A little pricey for Mexican food, but definitely worth it. The Nachos are set up so each chip has a topping! Grouper Tacos, amazing! We sit outside on the covered patio, it's charming and quiet. The service is impeccable!
It's definitely the best Mexican food I've ever had. Everything on the menu is good. My favorite is the chicken and bean tacos. Best chips and salsa , Get the cheese dip appetizer, and definitely save room for desert. Everyone that works there is awesome!
