My family and I anticipated this restaurant and we left pleased. The marinara sauce is superb and the service is lovely. I highly suggest getting dishes with the marinara and their Italian meatballs. We got the lasagna, chicken piccata, and the mushroom fettuccini. The fettuccini and chicken piccata were okay, the noodles were a bit bland and the chicken was slightly over-cooked. The stand out dish was the lasagna, which was FANTASTIC! We finished the meal with the key lime pie and the tiramisu. Both of these desserts did not disappoint. The key lime pie might be the best I've ever had. Overall this eatery did not fail to meet my expectations. I think with the right order this place could reach a 5 rating for me.

Loved It!. Italian food is one of our passions. So it was an even better day in paradise when we happened by this charming little trattoria and decided to stop in for dinner.
Succinctly put, the folks at Abbondanza know how to do casual fine dining better than almost anyone else in Key West. The interior is a delight on the eyes, with several small dining rooms dressed up to resemble dining in an historic old house. The melodies of Italian crooners play softly in the background, adding to the experience.
The menu is huge, with dozens of interesting pasta, meat and seafood options.
Our meals were attractively priced, attractively plated, and delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly, as were the accompaniments to our meal. My husband said his cannelloni was the best he has eaten in many years. Portions were large, but not overwhelmingly so.
Service was not a distraction, although our water glasses took longer to refill than we wished, and at times our waiter seemed on auto pilot. It was but a minor annoyance in an otherwise perfect meal.
Prices are modest by Key West standards.
Let me sum up by saying that if I ever decided to own a restaurant, it would look and taste like Abbondanza!

Husband and i had a fantastic meal here...roasted garlic with their great bread for an appetizer, chicken marsala and stuffed grouper. Excellent meal.

A perfect spot for an intimate date night. Amazing service with such friendly and polite staff, very attentive. The pasta has that home cooked flavor. We’ve had better but still tasty. The calamari was slightly rubbery. We left full and happy.
It's definitely a good Italian restaurant. Nice wine selection and great portions. Will definitely be a returning customer on my next keywest vacation
Loved, loved, loved the authentic Italian cuisine at this restaurant, a bit off the beaten path in Key West. Friendly, attentive staff. The food was delicious with very large portions. We had fresh bread with olive oil, balsamic, & ground pepper, chicken parm, veal parm, & fresh caught black grouper. Probably could've shared a single entree between 2 adults. The art & ambiance were very nice, too, & it wasn't as crowded as many places in the super busy areas of the island. Good wine & cocktail selection. Everything was so fresh! Prices were great for island dining. Would definitely recommend!
We wandered into this amazing Italian restaurant on a lark and it reminded me why Italian food is so good. Caprese salad is always a treat on a hot day as an appetizer. I ordered the spinach and ricotta stuffed manicotti and it was savory, not too heavy, and delicious! Try the key lime martini.
This is a solid choice for an Italian dinner in Key West. There are many choices on the menu and we received great service. I wouldn't say it was the best Italian food I've ever had but it was good. The chicken parm was particularly good.
loved, loved, loved! very good staff, delicious food, 10/10 customer service. very cute and cozy atmosphere, definitely gives italian vibes. i reccomend everything on the menu that i have tried and i loved the entree that we got: freshly baked bread with olive oil and balsamic! absolutely would reccomend to anyone visiting key west!!!
3 out of 4 diners thought food was good. First trip there in 4 years, salad which used to come with meal was now $8.95 additional charge. Restaurant had nice decor and a comfortable feel. Staff was friendly but didn't check back often.
My husband and I have eaten here a few times and really enjoy the service and food. The menu is delightful and the prices are Key West normal, higher than mainlanders are used to. Menu is a la carte, for example a basket of bread is $4.50. I enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs and my husband had the spaghetti and Italian sausage. They offer gluten free pasta perfectly cooked, but there is an extra charge ($3.50) for people like me who can’t tolerate wheat or gluten :(. The meatballs were plentiful and delicious. I recommend request seating in the main dining room. We were seated in the small room off the front entrance, which is intimate and pleasant until we were joined by a very loud patron whose voice filled the room. Best Italian in Key West!!! Love ❤️ this place! The Veal is like a little touch of Heaven 😋 The staff is very impressive and polite all the way from the hostess “Yamilet” to our Waiter “Carlos”. Ordered from here 2 nights in a row and it was delicious! The garlic bread and Caesar salad is fantastic. Loved their spaghetti and meatballs and the fettuccine with mushrooms. We did takeout and the food was ready within 10-20 mins. Staff was great. Highly recommend!
