Went here with friends and it was super quaint and fantastic. Will return when we go back in October 2019. Service was good and the location is convenient.
Delish! Went with my family; the staff were fabulous! We started with a bottle of Chablis Chardonnay, the PEI mussels with chorizo, and the escargot. For entrees my husband has the Provençal Shrimp (the spinach was "the best he's had") and my son and I shared the sashimi tuna and soba noodles. YUM! We finished with creme brûlée which had a super thick layer of caramelized sugar. Overall--one fantastic meal and a "must do" while in the Keys.
Stopped in for dinner recently. Had the spinach and goat cheese salad and the Shrimp Provençal dinner (at the waiters suggestion.). Both were very good.

Missing on a few details. We looking for a special place to have dinner in Key West for the one night we were there and walked by Blackfin and decided to give it a shot. The atmosphere is wonderful and the back patio is easy to relax in and the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. Huge wine selection and about 12 bottled beers and of course a nice menu of gulf seafood. The waitress unfortunately knew nothing about the beer list and I was looking for something with a fair bit of hops. I know they specialize in wine but if they sell beer the staff should know something or at least bring someone to the table who does. The scallop special was the best part of the meal and the bisque was quite nice as well. So the appetizers got us off on a good impression from the kitchen. Unfortunately the entrees were both a bit over done (a shrimp dish and a grouper filet) and the grouper wasn't completely cleaned of bones. All in all the flavor was nice but the over cooked fish and shrimp were just a little chewy for a restaurant this nice. Overall it seems like if you order the right things you can come away with a good experience but we feel everything on the menu should be cooked correctly.
Food was excellent. Great presentation on all plates. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Can't go wrong with the food.
Food was amazing. Ate there two nights because the hogfish special was so good. Creme brûlée is not to be missed-- perfectly prepared. Servers pleasant and knowledgable. Atmosphere casual but upscale. A totally pleasant experience. Give it a try!
Great Lunch. Had a chance to spend a great afternoon lunch at Blackfin Bistro. Grilled fresh fish sandwich was outstanding. Went back for dinner two nights later and enjoyed an outstanding meal for two at a very resonable price.
Servers were very helpgul and attentive.
Excellent! Worth the walk up Duval Street! We're still talking about it today! The Bolaganese was delicious! Others in my party had the steak with sherry mushroom sauce and it was amazing! The mahimahi on black beans with Asparagus was great! Lobster salad was excellent. Fine dining quality without the price!

Beautiful place, friendly staff and delicious food. We couldn't be more thrilled to spend our first evening out in Key West, dining at the Blackfin Bistro. The location was perfect and towards the more "sophisticated" part of the busy Duval street which meant we could truly enjoy our meal with a true 360 ambience around the experience. Thank you to Gabor for recommending the specials of the house to us, we were really impressed by the way you had added an extra layer of flavour to the dishes.
Couldn't recommend it more. Do try to go here at least once for a true gastronomic experience.

If restaurant is an experience this is the right place to be! The back yard is gorgeous, the food is simply amazing! We had the tuna tartare, beat salad, octopus, grouper and crème brulle! All dishes were amazing! I will be back! I also highly recommend this place. Great vibe, amazing food, smiley staff!
Had an amazing meal here! We watched a few different groups of locals come in while we were here - it’s evident that it’s a beloved spot! We also have a broad range of dietary preferences and everyone had something they loved (fish to burgers to pasta to salads) and the staff was very kind, welcoming and patient - we were so impressed by how hard they worked and how gracefully they navigated the small space & worked together! We had an amazing meal and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend!!
Recommended by the locals and this place was GREAT! It is BYOB, but they do have beer and wine. All the food is fresh caught - which we found out a lot of the places use product from Cisco and Costco... weird since you have so much fresh fish available so close. ANYWAYS, we met the owner and he was very friendly and helpful on selections. We had escargot and mussles in a wine sauce for appetizers - very very good. Main meal was the catch of the day, yellowtail snapper with mashed taters and veggies... the fresh crusty sour dough bread served with everything was soo good as well. It's more small, romantic setting, and the prices were as expected. Great jazz music was playing in the background. 5 Star for sure!!
First time to the Keys and first restaurant we visited. Small interior with dark finishings makes for a romantic mood. Wine and beer options were great but we stuck to water after a day of travel. We had two specials: a grilled octopus with a tempura fried avocado and a sauce that was to die for as well as a tilefish (I think that's what it was called?) with rice and broccoli in yet another delicious sauce. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and pleasant to interact with. So glad we stopped in!!
A nice cheese plate with two cheese, apples, blueberries, nuts, is only $14 ya'll. Pair with a great glass of wine. Wagyu burger medium is crazy good. Great management.
Absolutely incredible, high-quality options with a low key locals atmosphere. Basically the opposite of what you'd expect on Duval, and in all the right ways! Well done, Blackfin. 👌
My wife and I another family member had dinner here outside on a Tuesday night. It was wonderful. Our server Irena was amazing, and all the food was expertly prepared and delicious. The grilled tuna, shrimp with vegetables, and mussels with fries were superb entrees. We also enjoyed a nice Sancerre from the extensive wine list. We will definitely return here the next time we vacation in Key West. This is a terrific place for a relaxing dinner with great food and service.
I got the seafood pasta and it was amazing! I love the creamy sauce. I modified it and got no mussels and extra shrimp! It was perfection. My family and I sat on the back patio and it was dreamy!!
