We were passing through Florence on our way to Depoe Bay when we were looking for a place to stop to have lunch. Seeing a couple reviews on google for great clam chowder, this place pops up. We found a place to park and got a table on the street even though the place was busy as it was Saturday at lunch time. Our server came out and took our drink order and gave us some more time to decide on lunch. My girlfriend is always looking for the best Clam Chowder and I am always looking for awesome fish and chips. This place checked off both boxes. The clam chowder was excellent!! A lot of big clams and not fishy tasting at all. She stated that there was a perfect potato to clam ratio in the soup. I had the fish and chips trio. I had never had batter dipped salmon but was willing to try it. I honestly never have salmon at restaurants but that is another story. The batter was excellent, light and not to thick hit full of flavor. The fish was rediculously good! I am a huge fan of malt vinegar on my fish and chips,but using it on this fish would have been a sin, it didn't need it at all. Best fish and chips I have had in the last 36 years. The fries were very good and the Cole slaw was excellent.
So from the moment we got there to the time we left everything was top notch. We will definitely be back.
We had wonderful dinner. Our food and the service was top notch. Our waiter, Jeremy was fantastic. We stopped by the 2nd night for a drink before trying another restaurant. Our only regret is not having dinner at Bridgewater both nights! We'll be back!
The atmosphere was great! We had the steam pot for two and there was more than enough food for both of us and enough to bring home for later. Loved the pianist, played recognizable tunes, and had fun doing it. Will be back again!
Thisplace is a must see. We live in Northern California, but anytime we are in Oregon we come to the Zebra Bar in Florence. Great food, fantastic drinks, and friendly customer service. Highly recommend.
Stopped in for my birthday lunch before hitting the casino. Ordered the cippino and it did not disappoint. I’ve had great ones before but this was the best ever. My girlfriend had it as well and thought the same. My buddy had the cornbeef and cabbage and his wife had the pesto ceasar. Both said were delicous. Finally to top it all off the staff brought me a little warm brownie desert to celebrate my St Patty’s day bday. A very fantastic birthday and I will not hesitate to go back and spend my money there the next time I visit Florence.
The crab encrusted cod dish was INCREDIBLE!!!! Great place and great food and great service!! Will be back again very soon!!!!
Everything was delicious! Our waiter was charming and just attentive enough. Dessert was huge. DH and I shared it and couldn't finish.
This is my favorite place to eat in Florence! We came to celebrate my mother's birthday. I enjoyed the squid and fries and mom had the trio fish and chips. Both were done well. I tasted mom's salmon and it was so tender and juicy. Loved it!
The shellfish ciopino was very good, lots of fish and big shrimp, delicious and tasty with crunch garlic bread, very satisfying.
The $9 burger was surprisingly good. Good price.
The calamari was ok.
We celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary here last night. I highly recommend the seafood boil for two. Our waitress was spot on with drink suggestions. She thought we ordered too much food, we proved her wrong. Lol!
This place is amazing! Service awesome. Food amazing. I highly recommend the scallops and the mixed berry mule.
First time here. Friendly staff and foods are good. We’ve tried Salmon and also Steak and both taste good.
Excellent food, friendly service... we'll be back! We had the clam chowder, mandarin orange salad, crab melt, chocolate molten cake and berry tart. Delish!
Always enjoy dining at this Florence restaurant! It has a lively atmosphere and we always get good service! I love the mandarin salad. I order it with blackened chicken which compliments the mandarins, avocados and blue cheese. I also like the crunch of the hazelnuts. I had a bite of the fish and chips and they were delicious too.
They were busy but i was in no hurry so didnt mind the wait for food. Mandarin salad was light and fresh. Dressing i will try to replicate. Mussels were a huge portion and well cooked. Not rubbery. Had to take some home. Staff was nice and feiendly. I come here whenever im in tiwn which isnt often enough.
This was our second visit to Florence and to this Bridge Water/Zebra Bar Restaurant.
We ordered fresh garlic wine clam linguini, pesto Cesar salad, clam chowder and steamed clams (a miscommunication, we did want steamed mussels instead). All were very tasty, however, the sauce for the linguini was the same as steamed clam, thus we ended up tasting the exact same flavor twice).
We liked the nice ambience here, and the location of the restaurant was super, right on the Main Street of the historic downtown. It was easy to find a parking spot nearby too.
I was lucky to get a table on such a busy Saturday night. My server was so friendly and helpful. The food was great and so was the atmosphere.
Visited the Bridgewater on a Wed at lunch with my wife. Had a great Cobb salad and Crab Melt sandwich. Great selection of beer and wines (Wine Wednesday!!!) Great service and will be back again soon.
Our small group had a nice meal. The server was wonderful. Slow to get food, but it was worth the wait. Maybe it's a staffing issue that seems so common post-pandemic. Regardless, we enjoyed ourselves and I would return.
It was cozy place to have dinner and bar set up was pretty good that sit at the bar.
Carrying Fortgeorge and other brewery craft beers that had Newport IPA .
Pretty good wine selection cost near by $20.00 and up to ,,,
Pasta was good and recommendable ,,
And across street has Christmas tree lights decoration ,,
Cozy town !!!
Recommendable place
Got the salmon sandwich and absolutely loved it! Everything was perfectly crispy (bread and fries) and melted in my mouth (salmon and avocado). The interior was super pretty and cozy, and everyone was super welcoming and friendly!
We waited an hour (there was a huge party) and STILL 5 stars! We had a great time, our server was excellent, the food and drinks were excellent at 1 pm on a Sunday! Best meal we have had out in a LONG time and we WILL be back, deliberately, even considering we live an hour and a half away. Well done!
