We had our company luncheon of 15 guests today at Applewood. I worked closely with Chef Lucchesi to organize the event. We had a marvelous time, the food and desserts were outstanding and beautifully presented. Chef Lucchesi and the students were so kind, efficient and made this event unforgettable. We will be back soon. Thank you!!

Burgers are "okay" nothing to write home about. Customer Service is not on point, I see why Robotics are taking these type of jobs. Even simple things like "labeling" , i.e. no onions , w/cheese etc.
The excuse was "we didn't have a marker today".... WTH? Today!.writing.. utensils are available across the street at the print shop. Why should customers "finger" each other's food to find which order is which? The food box is white, even a pen or pencil would do!
I don't care about Culinary, how about "common sense"? How about basic service training. I swear, the employees of today are throwing away money, growth opportunity and more. The this burger is also very rare.... This is dig food!
$40 dollars for burgers we had to finger to figure out. I'm good. All the best. But Never again.

Applewood never fails to impress. The only negative is that it's only opened for lunch.

I am an alumni from Mott Community College, who unfortunately did not get to experience the Applewood Café while I was enrolled into college, BUT now I do not think I ever will!! I witnessed the most discerning and horribly saddening act of discrimination being displayed from the professor/manager of this establishment, to a student just trying to eat, which honestly makes me EMBARRESSED to say I am an alumni!! The most distasteful part is that the PROFESSOR of culinary acted this way in front of everyone who dined for lunch that day, including staff member's from the college. He even tried to have one of his student join him in the discrimation by forcing her not to wait, nor even acknowledge, this student and wait on many others instead. Then the excuse he used when confronted, which turned my stomach even more, "Everyone knows that only one person sits at a two top and not a five top". (Maybe he should move a two top near the windows then!!!!!) He didn't even ask if more would be joining her and actually his convo got quite loud and vocally was evident this was discrimination against an adult gay student. Refusal of service for a restaurant should not be based on a person's personal discrimination and the show of discrimination from a professor to a student is APPALING. After this, I don't even want my children to follow in their mothers footsteps in college their choice.
