Hands down one of the BEST vendor experiences I have ever had. The owner is an absolute gem to work with and really put my mind at ease with trying to plan other aspects of a party. In the bakery world, for the amazing quality of the product provided, The Mixing Bowl is very reasonably priced. The cake was a HUGE hit , the right textures and flavors. I am so impressed and will definitely be a return customer!
Eileen did an amazing job on my daughters birthday cake! She is one of the few bakers around that offer vegan options! Our family began purchasing vegan cakes from her over a year ago and she hasn't let us down. The only options are chocolate or vanilla cake and icing, but they are tasty and beautiful!
The mixing bowl in Flemington continues to impress for every moment that life brings. I was recommended to this bakery from a family member, and will never to another shop. Their cakes are just as delicious as they are beautiful and detailed. Thank you for making our get togethers a bit more special!
Really lovely and personable staff who worked with me for my husband's birthday cupcake-cake. The frostings were fresh (we chose a fruit based one) and the cupcakes were ultra moist. We look forward to being able to give them our business again soon!
Very small bakery - great custom made cakes and treats here. Also can bake all vegan if needed. We have had a few vegan birthday cakes and every one of them have been suprisingly delicious. You could not taste the diffrence. Great find.
Wonderful first experience ordering a selection of mini-cupcakes for an adult birthday. Since we didn't manage to try EVERY flavor, we will have to be back soon. Working with the owner was also a delightful, civilized experience! (Don't miss salted caramel.)
I spotted the Mixing Bowl while eating lunch across the way at the Mad Chef, and I had to check it out. This is not your ordinary, chocolate-and-vanilla cupcake outlet but so much more! I tried a selection of their mini-cupcakes and was wildly impressed. Not only are they baked fresh, but some are made with fresh fruit pureed right into the icing, and they even have seasonal favorites like pumpkin with cream cheese icing. Delicious! The store is located in Turntable Junction, so you may not spot it from the road but certainly worth stopping in! I will definitely have to return to try the rest of their baked goods.
Extremely happy with my Cannoli filled cake and cupcakes. If you want fresh and homemade cake I recommend the Mixing Bowl and Eileen is wonderful!!!
