I had a sushi platter off the menu and was, in truth, expecting the only sushi restaurant in Flagler Beach to not be very presentational.
It was about what I expected. Fish was good, plating was lacking but the RICE WAS AMAZING!
The head chef asked how everything and we spoke about these things. He brought out a chef sampler platter that was a mix of delicious sushi flavors that I have never had before. I really love what I had and getting to talk to a person who is as invested in food as I am.
Go and try his style of sushi. I recommend it.

First time coming here and I enjoyed the sushi - had the volcano roll and everything tasted fresh and was nicely put together. The only negative is that some of the rolls slighty fell apart as i dipped it in the soy sauce. But I definitely plan on going back...

Truly the best sushi we've ever had. Quaint restaurant just off A1A. Definitely a hidden treasure. Highly recommended!

Love Dashi Sushi. Awesome sushi. So fresh!!! And the atmosphere is laid back and beachy. Prices are very reasonable as well. I go there all the time. Won't disappoint😀

Unassuming little strip mall sushi joint with laid back decor and friendly service. The specialty rolls are a little overpriced for what they are, but you weren't expecting an authentic omakase, were you?
Go for simplicity such as the spiny tuna roll. Pair that with a cold asahi beer. Take everything to go across the street to the pier and enjoy all that with the salt air for a perfect day.
Don't forget to tip

Great selection, excellent sushi and very nice people! Been there twice so far and it was not over crowded, so very pleasant experience both times. We will definitely be back!

Better sushi at Publix
We ordered three rolls;
Volcano, Alaska and one of their specials, the Big Bang and edamame as an appetizer.
My first impression was good as their cute purple haired “host/cashier/server” was very polite and proper. This first impression did not coincide with the food quality. I spent a little over $40 on a tasteless roll, Big Bang. Looks pretty, tastes like nothing mush but that may have just been my preference. The Alaska roll looked really good as might have had a better chance had they not served it with beyond un-ripened avocado, which made this roll have an awkward, unexpected crunch. No bueno. 👎🏽 I can say their Volcano roll was pretty decent but they made it seem like there’s a huge serving of warm krab on top, really they just piled a sushi roll on top of another and then added some warm shredded krab on top. Same went for their serving of edamame. The bowl was filled with shredded carrots and then the edamame was added on top. From their angle I get it, it makes sense, good presentation without spending as much but in order to keep repetitive customers you can’t lie to your customer.
I would much rather go to Publix then go back to Dashi sushi.
