Had lunch with my parents, the service was wonderful we were greeted and offered drinks as soon as we chose our seating. The food was fabulous and there was plenty of it we all took home left overs. My dad had breakfast (served all day) Mom enjoyed a vegetarian burrito and I ordered street tacos. Clearly there was something for everyone! The margaritas are yummy they have several different flavors banana, mango, skinny girl all good!

The food is Fantastic! Cooked to order and served hot. Staff have Great attitudes, make you feel at home, and are very attentive without hovering. The updated atmosphere is perfect. Highly recommend the Guadalajara. You won't be disappointed.

I happen to think it's the easiest and some of the best Mexican food in town. I've only had one experience where I didn't feel it was up to par because when my order was ready the person with ticket in hand could not tell me what was handed to me as my order. Hence the 4 stars and not 5.

Service was great. However, felt the portions were quite limited compared to their cost. Food was marginal at best. But I am also spoiled by real Mexican food having been raised near the Mexican border. Don't plan on returning.

Much better now with the new owners. Very courteous. Good food. Excellent shrimp cocktails. I will continue going here. Hopefully the current owners stick around.

Even better since the new ownership has taken charge. The chips are always fresh and the food is always flavorful. The best tacos and burritos in town!

Love this restaurant! The new owners have done an amazing job with the menu, decor, margaritas 🥰 and the service is great! My favorite is the seafood chimichanga and Lolita Margaritas

Awesome Food. My family and I eat here on a regular basis. We have tried all the Mexican restaurants in Fallon and Fernley. This restaurant reminds us the most of San Diego's great Mexican restaurants. Service is outstanding. We've had just about everything on the menu over the past 6 years of us being here. I have NEVER had a complaint. A must stop, if you are passing through Fernley.

This place is awesome. Great, authentic Mexican food at a good price. Like all great Mexican joints, it's owned and staffed by a real Mexican family. My mom is from Mexico and she always insists on eating here when she visits us in Fernley - it reminds her of home!

Our favorite Mexican Restaurant!. 4 Stars -

El Guadalajara is located in the small city of Fernley, Nevada, approximately 30 miles east of Reno. The modest restaurant is located in Downtown Fernley near the corner of Main and Center Streets.

The building is an old adobe stucco building that I think is from the 1930's. Decor is definitely dated, but every thing is kept in order and is clean.

The restaurant bills itself as "Jalisco Style" Mexican cuisine, being from the Guadalajara region, hence the name. We come to this restaurant as often as we want mexican in a sit down restaurant. It's a family favorite. My wife usually gets the shrimp rancheros dinner with beans and rice. I always start my meal with a bowl of albondigas, a mexican meatball soup. The albongigas at El Guadalajara is the best I have ever had anywhere. I usually finish off with the large soft tacos in a variety of different meats. Their large flour tortillas are the best I have ever had, they are soooo good.

They have a kids menu with very reasonable prices. Our kids usually order mexican soft drinks as well. All their prices are very reasonable.

We like El Guadalajara over the other Fernley mexican restaurant, La Fiesta. Both are good, but I think it comes down to a preference in tastes. La Fiesta is Sonoran style, which is much heavier cuisine. We prefer the lighter fare here. I want to go back right now after typing this review. Yum!
