I stopped in to Cafe Karibo for brunch while walking around Fernandina Beach. I was served an excellent fried flounder sandwich, topped with fresh field greens and thousand island dressing. I finished the meal with a fresh baked cranberry muffin. The service was efficient, and prices are reasonable. The venue also has a wonderful patio for outdoor dining.

So I’m a potato salad snob. I’m extremely picky about potato salad and I am constantly disappointed. The sandwiches and wraps here come with potato salad as the default side and I prepared myself to take one bite and ignore the rest.
Turns out they have the perfect potato salad. Chucks of potato are just right, not minced or sliced into oblivion. Just the right amount of dressing, seasoned perfectly. I’m in love!
From now on, we will eat here every single time we come to town.
If I lived close to this restaurant I’d weigh 300 pounds. I would be unable to resist!

We enjoyed a private dinner in the Cafe Karibo event space upstairs, with food, drinks and service provided by the Cafe's chefs and staff.
The event was a huge success, and the food and service were nothing short of exceptional. Just check out the special menu and photos and know that it was a truly memorable night.
We already loved Karibo for their Sunday brunch food and dog-friendly patio, and I've been here many times for lunch with friends which were all great. But the talent showcased last night put the restaurant in a new light for me. Thanks to everyone involved.

Such a great place. Local gem. Great restaurant, gorgeous patio area, friendly and fast service. The crab dip was awesome, the shrimp salad just like my Southern grandmother made. Everything we had was fantastic and fairly priced. Don’t forget dessert!

My absolute favorite. Been there many times and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is cozy and I love sitting in their courtyard.

We went on a Friday evening around 6 pm and was seated quickly. Our waitress, Ashley, was prompt to take our drink order. When we ordered, I had the Mediterranean Coucous with grilled chicken (was flavorful), and my husband had the Blackened Mahi Sandwich (was a little dry.) For dessert. We had chocolate pecan pie.
I have it 4 stars for service because we had to ask for refills, and we hardly saw our waitress after we received our food. That could be for various reasons that we weren't aware of, and thankfully, we weren't in a rush.
We plan on returning with other family members, and when we do, the hubby said he was going to try the fish n chips.

Great vegetarian chooses to pick from, I got the Greek spinach wrap that was delicious. Came with a tasty dill potato salad. Husband got the fish sandwich which came with a mix of sweet potato fries and regular, they were so good. Had some local beers on tap. Great outdoor seating in a very pretty setting. Also some vegan picks.

Full menue of appetizers, small plates, specialty salads (maybe 6 offerings...Couscous salad is Wonderful, as well as the spicy Thai Noodle salad), amazing seafood and steak entrees along with more simple offerings. Reasonable portions and reasonably priced for what is served.
Presentation is creative and delicious.
Service is top notch, aiming to accommodate most any requests. Very warm and friendly. Well staffed in all areas.
