Food is usually good and staff are nice. It takes a minute on the food but worth the extra bit of wait. It's hard to get through on the phone sometimes just because there is no answer. One of my regular stops so I do prefer them for breakfast over big food chains. Look at this breakfast! It's delicious! Their bacon is my favorite by far!!!
Cory Troy
This is a rating only for the buffet. It was average at best. The eggs were watery and not the greatest taste. The eggs were also chopped up super fine, I prefer bigger pieces. The bacon tasted decent, but was not cooked all the way and extremely thin slices. The potatoes were not fully cooked. They were still hard, not soft and lacked much flavor. The biscuits weren't bad. I would probably not go back here and instead eat at Susan's or Rolling Pin Cafe.

My cousin asked me to meet him here, and I went around the block twice trying to find it with my GPS saying I had arrived, but I didn't see it. Once I saw it, I have to admit that I would never have stopped here on my own.
The service is absolutely spectacular, and the breakfast is just as good. The menu has a good variety and the lunch buffet they were setting up had some good looking catfish on it.
Mike Weidema
This place was great one of the best ever loved their breakfast buffet we went there 2 days in a row the waitress's we're very customer oriented. It was the best buffet I've had in a long time and the price was awesome for what you get and bacon yes they had it, it was thin sliced and cooked to perfection all you can eat! The best ever
Matthew Storts
The buffet is always great! Bacon and Pancakes for days! Its a country boys dream!!! Is a Great spot for breakfast if your in Fayetteville definitely want to check it out. $9.99 for buffet all you can eat!
Theresa Vandever
The best food and probably the best biscuits you could get anywhere. They literally melt in your mouth. The waitresses are extremely nice and they keep your drinks filled without you having to ask.
Julz C
The food was absolutely amazing and I didnt expect this from seeing the building on the outside. Service was amazing as well as the waitresses are so nice and treat you like family. Everything tasted homemade and good and I want to go back and try more. Its a sit down place and I really want to try their buffet when it comes back up.
Teresa Baker
Great food, friendly waitress, 😋 new family favorite 😍

Very friendly and attentive staff. The Saturday morning buffet hit the spot. Cold food was cold. Hot food was hot. Good variety. I really appreciated all the fresh fruit and my husband really liked all the fattening stuff like eggs and bacon and sausage and biscuits and gravy. The coffee was good and the cup never went empty or cold. The prices were good. The location and decor are definitely down home, salt of the earth. This isn't a snobbish la de dah place. Simple but good. Definitely a locals non-chain, which is always the best in my opinion.
Geremy Pruitt
Favorite breakfast place ever. I either get the breakfast burrito, chicken fried steak, or the breakfast buffet. It's awesome and recommend to anyone that loves breakfast
Mandi Baledge
Can’t beat Ricks Iron Skillet! Fayetteville tradition, southern tradition. and the best food around.
From out of town? This is a local “secret”. Enjoy real southern food like Grandma’s cooking. Fluffy biscuits and gravy for days. Enjoy with an honest cup of coffee that will put Hair on your chest! Don’t miss!
Terri Ruffing Allen
Priced well for a breakfast buffet. Excellent service, friendly, food was hot and tasty. Lots of fresh fruit to choose from. BIG biscuits. Will definitely go back.
Ashley Riggs-Metcalf
My husband and I have breakfast here almost every week... I have never once been unsatisfied with the service or the food... Ricks is definitely home town food at a great price with a great atmosphere...
Keng Xiong
This place is so great! Check out their biscuits and the omelett's! Can never go wrong with the breakfast buffet when they are packed on the weekends.
Pam Kugel
Love love this place. Home cooked meals and the buffet on the weekends is awesome. You never have to wait to sit and the servers are right there to take your order . I highly recommend Ricks it's great .
Jeanene Johnston Graves
We had a group of 18 people, and they were very accommodating on us showing up without notice. They had zero problem with food running out on the buffet after our group went through. The buffet had a surprising variety on it. And it was all very good. The biscuits were so light. Waitress was great. Loved it.
Sandy McCann
But...nobody has mentioned the omelets!!! So many choices and every one I have tried is delicious! Then the biscuit and gravy side makes for the best breakfast ever. My husband especially loves the spicy sausage ones!
Katie Mariah Bullard
I'm a small town Oklahoma girl, and I was super homesick today. So I went to Rick's to try it out, planned on ordering a good home style breakfast plate, I just wanted something that reminded me of home. I got that and so much more. On top of my food being excellent, there was a table of men right next to me and they were talking about their hunting dogs. This place made me feel like I was at the café in my hometown. I will be a regular visitor here. Thank yall so much!
David Worthey
Great food great people. My only issue is it take way to long to get your food. But if your in no hurry its worth the wait
Marc Swearengin
Food is ok at best. Wait is horrific. Waited over an hour after we ordered. Food was basically warm, basically. Don't order waffles. They only have one waffle maker. Won't go back.
Melvin Parker
Every year I have to eat here during Bikes, Blues and BBQ. Always excellent home cooked food and superior service. There might be a wait sometimes but it's very well worth it.
Billy Kilmer
Best breakfast hands down
If u r in Northwest Arkansas
Must stop for breakfast
Diana Nuncio Bradley
Best home cooking we've had in quite some time. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Katie Kearney
Friendly staff. Amazing food for an even more amazing price!
Bass4food
Lots to love and some not so much at this classic, or dated depending on your perspective, diner. The highlight is the fresh-made breakfasts here, as good as any old school day starter as you’ll find. On the downside are some over-cooked dried out meats on the buffet and too many shortcuts taken to be real “home cooking” unfortunately. However the super friendly service and great prices make this hangout for the old time regulars a good place to try for breakfast. (Open quite early too)
Matthew R. Mozzoni
Its a great greasy spoon. Don't go for the buffet, id highly recommend the omelets. the philly omelet and farmers omelets are the way to go. its a traditional diner in many respects, great simple plates or hash browns/bacon/eggs/toast. you won't leave hungry.
Shelly Little
Apparently another place that most people go to the buffet on weekends. We just don't like buffets. The Denver omelet was pretty good and the hashbrowns were okay. The gravy was very much a mix and of course the wheat toast was after all wheat toast. The orange juice was pretty good. Even though it took over ten minutes for a waitress to recognize that we were even there, our waitress was very nice and attentive. This place would probably be better during the week when they weren't so busy. It was okay.
Mfaries42
Stay away from the breakfast "steak". Rick's serves greasy, cheap food that will make you regret your decision to visit. I want to like Ricks Iron Skillet but.... the food is really bad unless your starving or to drunk to care.
Johngriffith92
Great Food. I've never had anything off the menu that wasn't wonderful. Buffett isn't great but just ask for menus and you won't be disappointed.
Waynelin1988
Burgers are good!. I know this place is a breakfast place but there burgers are awesome.
I'm a huge burger guy so I went for the double. very good!
We will stop by for breakfast next time as we heard this is the place to go before razorback football games.
Thanks!
Chelsieeed
Awesome breakfast. If you're too lazy to get up for your hotel's breakfast, this is your saving grace. You can get breakfast until 2pm and it's really good.
Coffee tastes great, biscuits are huge and homemade, waffles with a Razorback, fruit on the buffet. Its just a good place.
Don't judge it by its exterior. Its definitely not fancy. But it's nice and clean inside and the service is great.

In the words of Ron Swanson, "give me all the bacon and eggs you have" They will not disappoint.

Food to die for!
Eating Out
Buffet on Saturday & Sunday. We stopped by for breakfast based on all the good feedback. I missed that Saturday and Sunday are buffet days. My wife does not do buffet. Since I am only here on weekends, I may never get to try this place.

I am posting this review to give a heading for others to notice there is a buffet on the weekend.
Carole Joan Tunnell Stone
Revised review. I still stand by my dislike of their buffet. order off of the menu and you get good food. We had breakfast this morning and it was as good as I've had anywhere. I notice people coming in and looking at the buffet then asking for a menu. until next visit.
Melanieatlewis
Great Southern Food. This place is sooooo freaking good. I especially love the breakfast. If you are one of those people who like oatmeal and fresh fruit parfaits, then this is not the place for you. Now, if you are the type of person who loves the smell of grease, cant get enough bacon, eats anything and everything including GMO's and High Fructose Corn Syrup, than this is the place for you. IF you don't know what GMO's and High Fructose Corn Syrup is then this is the place for you. IF you cant read what I am typing then this is the place for you. IF your wife chews tobacco then this is the place for you. Basically, this is hilly billy heaven, but the food is great.
Kay
Economic, tasty, southern country breakfast.
Stac
If you're looking for a restaurant that will decorate your pancakes all fancy then this isn't the place for you. If you are looking for a place that serves real homemade breakfast that's cooked only when you order it, then this is the place. I love this place because its cheap and the food is good. It's not fancy, there's no surprises, and they don't have 20 different pancake flavors, but they do have great service, good food, and a comfortable atmosphere.
The Phoenix
I am new to Fayetteville, but my Sunday morning buffet meal at Rick's Iron Skillet has been my worst dining experience in Northwest Arkansas. I expected a "dive" and was okay with that, but the food wasn't just flavorless. The food was actually gross. Most of the food had no flavor at all, but what did have a flavor was not the "right" flavor. The eggs with peppers tasted sweet, the shredded hashbrowns tasted like I had bit into a bullion cube, and the home fries tasted like water. It was a strange and bad experience.
Bigdawg1258
Nasty!. How do you screw up breakfast on a Saturday morning? Go ask Rick. The coffee had a burnt taste. The fruit was obviously dumped from a can. Cheap skinny thin bacon - overcooked. Eggs were okay. If you like bisquits and gravy - you should be happy at Rick's. Guess I was expecting more.
Airborne
Nice home cooked meal with very good service. Just the kind of place I look for when I am on the road. Excellent buffet
Dexter Taylor
Best breakfast in town. I had the chance to eat at ricks iron skillet for the first time last weekend. I've been back 4 times since. The serves is amazing. The food is terrific!! I've only ordered off the menu. I'm not a big buffet type of guy, so I can't comment on that part.
Jordan Hughes
Thought this place had potential, but it certainly tanked today. Service was so-so until Arkansas coach Brett Bielama showed up, it then went to crap. The waitress was in such a hurry to get her picture taken with him that she didn't bother checking on the entire table. She asked one person if they wanted more to drink, they said no and she made a b-line to his table leaving 4 other empty glasses. Never mind that my girlfriend found a very dark and curly hair in her wet eggs, the food just just terrible...especially the carbon paper bacon and drywall-esque biscuits. I will for sure not be going back and will suggest you shouldn't either.
Jessica Pearson Evans
Went with my husband on a Thursday morning at 10 a.m. For breakfast. There was a small crowd but not too bad for a breakfast spot. We ordered off the specials menu: eggs, French toast, biscuits and gravy. Pretty simple. 45 minutes later.. Still no food so we paid for my coffee and left. I've never even waited 45 minutes for dinner.
Serena Fontenoy
My fiancé and I only went here because Razor's Edge was shut down. I'm not sure how more people preferred this place ... We walked in and everyone stared us done as if we didn't belong and the server seemed put out that she had to help us. The food was not very good at all, I had to drown my breakfast in salsa just to finish what I could.

I hate paying for food that I could have cooked better myself. Please save your time and money.
Don Miller
A Huge Disappointment. I used to be a regular at Rick's. We went every week because the food was good and the prices were reasonable. It was, hands down, the best breakfast buffet in town.
But Rick doesn't even own the restaurant anymore and it appears that the new owners do not have the same standards that Rick had concerning cleanliness and food quality. I went for lunch on 12 - 27 and it was awful. The tables were full of dirty dishes so we had to wait to be seated. The buffet was empty too, which required another wait.
The buffet was ribs, meatloaf, breast strips and catfish.
When the fresh food finally arrived the ribs were small and fatty. The chicken strips were coated in flour instead of breadcrumbs, causing the breading to fall off and lie in the bottom of the pan. The meatloaf was horrible, a mushy, lukewarm and tasteless mess. But the catfish was very, very good. Overall though, the food was bland, lukewarm and unappealing.
6.99 for lunch, all you can eat, is still pretty hard to beat. But I'd rather pay a few extra dollars for something
that actually tastes and looks good. If you're just looking for cheap, bland food, it's the place to go. If you prefer quality over quantity, look somewhere else.
Andrew Brink
Food was very bland, and overpriced at $7.50 for a buffet. But the thing that will keep this first time customer from ever coming back--service. We left after waiting for 30 mins for our food, and we still didnt eat. Didn't even try the pancakes. Sorry waitress, I am a college student, but I do tip well.
Austin Freeman
Breakfast sucks! The eggs aren't real, don't know what type of bacon it was cause it had no taste. The sausage was the same way. If you like eating your meal with ketchup to add taste this is the place. What happened to the skillet?
Becca
Very enjoyable. The atmosphere, service, and food was very enjoyable. Prices were very decent. I have gone there three or four times and enjoyed the breakfast buffet the most. Omelets are huge and stuffed with a delicious filling of meats and veggies and the biscuits and gravy were wonderful!
SouthernComfort
GREAT FOOD!!!. Rick's Iron Skillet has great food. I would recommend everyone to come and try their omlets and their sandwiches. The food comes out fast and fresh. The hasbrowns are delicious and the hot sasuage patty is made just right. I love this place and will continue to come back as long as they are around. The service is great. The cashiers, and the waitresses makes sure everyone is taken care. They can get extremly busy but the wait is worth it. Don't waste your time going to Razor's Edge, or the other breakfast places. Rick's is the place to be.
Skeeter1371
Dive breakfast. If you are hung over go, if not dont
Y_not_dinner
Bad. The lunch buffet is very expensive for quailty of food you recieve. Bland, low flavor dishes with several empty pans on the buffet.
you can eat at a nice resturant for a few dollars more.
Jerrica
GREAT food andf service. My first time to ricks and i love this place. I had the Chicken fried streak lunch and it was good. Mashed potatoes weren't too thick and the vegetable tasted fresh and still hot. The portions are huge. It came with a salad and a hot roll. This place is good. I'll definitely come back for the omelets because they looked huge. Service was also very good. They made you feel welcomed.
Mitch
Like it A LOT. First time ever coming here and trust me it wont be my last. Had three other people with me and our total came to only be $31. Thats pretty darn cheap on account of all of us having their huge omelets and it all came with biscuits and gravy, hash browns, and my friend substituted his biscuits and gravy for two large pancakes. This place is located in a somewhat odd location but the service and food was very good!
Spicolihandfood
Something everyone talks about! Always good things. Must try
Derek
Location. WE NEED A PLACE LIKE THIS UPTOWN. It's kind of an odd location, next to a Mexican market and a pawn shop, but the breakfast is delicious. I highly recommend the chicken fried steak. It comes with eggs, hash browns, and a giant, fluffy biscuit with your choice of cream or sausage gravy. The pancakes are also pretty good, more of a homestyle flavor. Oh yeah, they have gigantic omelets also.

They also have a small buffet. We ordered off the menu, but the buffet looked pretty good. This place sure as hell beats Denny's and some of those chains.

The service was good also.
Mary.joeseph
Kinda in a bad location but the food is wonderful along with the wait staff .. I deffinately recommend to everyone
Madilee
Come hungry! The breakfast buffet is full of everything you could imagine! Great southern cooking with a friendly small town atmosphere.
Bubbleslocksowrthmike
LOVE IT!. I really enjoy this place. Its good food and freindly service. Im not a big fan of Buffets so i usually order a Cheesebuger or a HUGE omelet.. Prices are around 4-6 dollars too and you really cant find a place in fayetteville with good prices like that
Sam
Awesome. Service was great and the food was like Grandma used to make. Wonderful.
Savanah Hamby
Not worth it, really.. I'd never been to Rick's before today, but we decided we were in need of a breakfast buffet this morning. After reading the other reviews here, we decided Rick's was the place to go. (And who can beat "5-6 bucks," like everyone else said?) When we walked in, there was a "Please seat yourself" sign. Fully half of the tables were empty, but every single one of them had dirty dishes. After a tour of the restaurant, we went back to the front and waited. After a long few minutes, a waitress told us to seat ourselves and that's when I had to say, "I know, but all of the tables are dirty." Totally not a big deal, just took a few extra minutes. She then cleared one off, brought us drinks, and told us to go ahead to the buffet.
The food... nothing good, nothing bad. I don't really have much of a food review, because it was just kinda basic and tasteless. I was impressed with the fresh fruit spread, but if fresh fruit was what I wanted, I would have just gone to my own refrigerator. The food was what I expected, I guess-- basic, greasy spoon breakfast food. They didn't refill the buffet as often as I'd like; I was full off of the scrapings off the bottom by the time they brought out fresh eggs and such.
When we paid, however, I was a little shocked-- two buffets and one glass of milk (no coffee or anything) rang up to $18.90. Add the tip on there, and it was more than twenty dollars. What we ate was, emphatically, NOT a twenty dollar breakfast.
Did I get what I came for? Yes. Will I go back? Yeah, maybe someday-- I don't generally go out to eat breakfast, but if I do I prefer to support local. Will I go regularly? Absolutely not. I'm not even choosing "like it" or "don't like it" up at the top of the page because I'm feeling blah about it. It left that little of an impression on me-- but it did leave a larger impression on my wallet than I would have liked.

I love this place. just found this place out. Everything in this place is really good. Food, service and the atmosphere is a really nice and peaceful setting I lovd it and deffinately returning
Sam Cannon
We went early for the breakfast buffet and it was great. They had a lot of fresh fruit on the buffet, even chocolate covered bananas. I would go back. My favorite item was the blue berry muffins. If you want a good local Fayetteville breakfast and want to avoid Denny's and Ihop this is the place!
Johnc
Good place, Great service. This place is actually really good. food came out fast and seems like everything was fresh. Service was deffinately great because my coffee mug was never empty and my water was filled up every time i took a sip. Although this place was extremely packed when i got there and waited in line for a seat but i didnt mind because the great service and food deffinately made up for it
Giggles2869
Best breakfast and lunch in Fayetteville. I love this place everything in this place is fresh. The service is always great. I was talking to the man at the register and this place is truly a family owned business. I love the Omelets and the Big breakfast for about 5-6 dollars you get alot of food.. No one around can beat this place GUARANTEED!
I Have The Munchies
Ricks us the most chronic breakfast you can get in Fayetteville. They have a breakfast buffet with everything you would want fir breakfast like rolls, biscuits n gravy, bacon, eggs, cheesy pepper eggs, sausage, fruit and tons of other stuff. Best of all it is only like 5 or 6 bucks. Perfect for all wake n bakers.
Missy
Southern food done right! Located on the south side of Fayetteville for breakfast or lunch. Ricks Iron Skillet is downhome cooking!
