As a visitor from New York City, I was anxious to get some good classic southern BBQ. Unfortunately, I didn't get that experience here.
First, the good: Sassy's has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The pulled pork was VERY tender and melted in your mouth. Unfortunately - that's about all the good I experienced on this visit.
Now, the bad: The meat was lukewarm at best, and some parts of the portion were downright cool. The "Fresh cut" french fries were VERY hard and chewy, and tasted as if they were yesterday's fries that had been heated in the microwave, or left under a heat lamp for a LONG time. Finally, the macaroni and cheese was downright terrible. I am not sure if it is supposed to be "Smoked" mac and cheese, but it had a horrible burned wood flavor throughout. One of my dinner partners who lives locally and frequents Sassy's said that 'no, it is not supposed to be 'smoked' and something is definitely wrong with it.' It almost tasted as if a chunk of burned wood from the smoker fell into the mac-and-cheese pot and was just stirred in. It was bad, and I could only eat a few bites and had to leave the rest on the plate.
The most confusing part, was that Sassy's was VERY busy when we came in, and the food did not take long to come after we ordered.. so they HAD to have been doing a ton of volume. So how we ended up with cold meat, yesterday-tasting french fries and seriously fouled mac and cheese- is beyond me. I would have been able to rationalize it better if they were dead, and not turning over much food volume.
Overall, I was seriously disappointed in Sassy's.

So fabulous!! Excellent appetizers, specifically the Irish Nachos, and great main dishes. Our friends and I went there and each one of us loved our dishes. Great service, too. We will definitely be back!

the food is AMAZING. we have two picky eaters in our crew and it was still pleasing to them!! the cheese frys disappeared before I could take a picture but they use waffle frys! mac and cheese is bomb! corn on the cob is to die for!!

I love the food and the environment! I always get the Irish nachos with waffle fries, extra queso and put a little of the molasses bbq sauce on it. The ranch is on point and the sweet tea isn’t bad either. This is a full size and it could feed an army lol.

Sassy's has been dishing up great BBQ, cold beer, and bar food for a long time! Staff is always friendly and I've never had a bad meal there! Good ribs! They proudly support the Razorbacks as well!
Their patio is a GREAT place to hang out on a nice day too! Don't miss out on the Irish Nachos, the sausage and cheese plate appetizer, and their pulled pork has always been very good! They also have HUGE salads that can be customized with your choice of proteins and you can get a honey barbecue salad dressing as well as the standards orbyou can just use the barbecue sauce.
It's one of the "need to visit" spots in Fayetteville for sure and their management and staff go out of their way to keep it that way.

Took over 30 mins to get a brisket sandwich and burger. Fries were hard and cold. Never got someone to offer a refill until we were ready to pay our bill. Food was bland. Cole slaw was watery. Cool ambiance tho. Liked the armosphere.

What a delicious meal! Nothing better that going to see the Hogs play right after eating the best ribs I’ve ever had! That was one delicious meal….now……Go Hogs!

Pulled pork and ribs were delicous with just the right smoke. I normally don't like BBQ sauce on my meats, but theirs was phenomenal and I covered the pulled pork in it. Sides of beans and sweet potato tots were a hit. Definitely a good place to go.

It was decent. Both the other person I was dining with and I kind of felt our meals were a little off. The green beans were sweet and the ribs were off as well. Wait staff forgot our drink orders. A bottle of beer was $6 and my mixed drink was as well. I ran out of water at one point and was asked if I wanted a refill but then was never given one when I said yes and my water cup just disappeared. Wasn't really impressed with much honestly and I'd heard good things about this place from friends.

We arrived. The bartender was our waiter so she was already too busy to care for us. We got chili cheese dip which was good until we found a hair encrusted into the chip. She left the plate of chips here thinking we would eat the rest, but it is just unnapetizing so we moved the platter to another table. Service was just awful and we lost our appetites. If you come here don't sit by the bar or your service will be trash

The food, service and atmosphere are top-notch. Great Bar-B-Q and the best catfish around. Our 'Go-To' place when we go to Fayetteville... And surprise, the new location in Wedington is just as good!

Food was very good. Between my wife & I had some of the brisket, sweet potato tots, fried okra, & mac & cheese. Mac & cheese was plain but everything else was delicious. We got the chili cheese dip appetizer & were pleasantly surprised! Small selection of Cesar's beers on tap. We went on game day so it was packed & we had to sit at bar. Service was slow but to be expected. I'll go back!

This was our first time to visit here. Visiting from Tulsa and stumbled across this place. We had the pulled pork nachos as appetizer, and they were outstanding! Rib dinner for entree. . Also outstanding! 4 sauces to choose from. . All of them were very good. . But the molassey sauce is so unique it became my favorite. It was very busy but the wait was very short and the staff was very attentive.

This place had the tenderest smoked turkey I think I’ve ever tasted. Very sweet waitresses. Highly recommend. They have several BBQ sauces to choose from an my favorite was Maple.

First timers. In town for son's graduation. He said best bbq in Fayetteville, won't disagree. We all had ribs. Great food and service.

Fabulous food (especially the pulled pork)! Excellent wait staff. So nice and friendly! Love the patio environment and the fact that they welcome fur babies out there! Will definitely return every time we are in the Fayetteville area!

First time eating here tonight. They were super busy but managed to get the four of us in very quickly and we had plenty of time to get to the game. Server was great. Food was excellent (we had brisket, chicken, turkey, ribs between the 4 of us) and apple fried pies were delicious. We can’t wait to come back!!

I love the atmosphere . And eating on the patio was great. And my meal was great , I'll be back again.

Delicious food, great service! Ribs were good, coleslaw and fries superb, Moscow mule with Deep Eddy's lemon vodka can't be beat. Possum pie fancier but not quite as good as my momma's but worth the trip.

I think this is probably the best patio in town. We don't visit here often because we live closer to the Sassy's off Wedington, but we came to watch the end of a Razorback game and then to see the Bikes, Blues and BBQ parade with the kids! We ordered an appetizer and a few drinks and everything was good! We will be back when the weather gets cooler to enjoy more time on the patio! (Side note: I actually feel like the BBQ is a little more tender at the other location, but maybe I am just crazy! Lol)!
