Review Mikoto Express - Fayetteville

Very disappointed! This was one of my favorite hibachi places until today. I ordered the hibachi chicken entree togo, got back to work to find out it was burnt. Due to the amount of time I drove there and back on my hour lunch break I still did not have enough time to get anything else for lunch. When I called and requested the girl who answered the phone let the cook know he burnt the chicken, she acted like she could care less and already knew the chicken was burnt, and told me they cook their chicken 2-3 times. When I asked why she told me that’s just the way they do it. I feel they served me left over chicken that they warm up 2-3 times which is why it was burnt. The only reason why I am giving this two stars is because the rice was good and I felt that the small amount of zucchini they gave was cut better than before.

It had been a while since visiting this place due to moving further away. I stopped in 2 weeks ago and have been back 4 times, regardless of distance and gas prices. The food is well seasoned, tender and appealing to the eye and nasal(s). Looking to visit each week going forward. Keep up the good work.

Our Filet and Chicken plate and Steak and Chicken plate came out quickly and was very delicious. Portions were so big you will be stuffed finishing it or able to make a second meal out of leftovers. I recommend springing the extra couple of bucks for the filet. I compared the two and there is a noticeable difference in the quality of the steak. We will be returning soon!

Place is pretty good. I got a lot of steak and shrimp for my money. Food had a little burnt taste but was still tender. Needed to add more season. State was tender shrimp was good I didn't really care for all the onions and zucchini but I love the broccoli. Overall great service May return. 👍

Wow I'm sad and disappointed I have been eating here for over 10 years I love this food it was always hot and seemed to be fresh and cooked to my liking. Now it seems the shrimp shrunk tremendously, the steak is the bottom of the line steak and the chicken is dry as hell. And please come on mikotos STOP ADDING WATER TO THE WHITE SAUCE. I know you already add it but now your adding way to much. I understand inflation and all but your ruining your food. Good way to loose customers!!!

Not a good experience at all. My daughter and I ordered a hibachi meal with only vegetables minus the zucchini. I have ordered vegetable only Hibachi at a number of other places, but this was my first time eating here. You can imagine my surprise when my daughter and I received a plate 75-80% filled with nothing but Onions! Who on God's green earth eats a plate full of onions?? Anyway it was when I approached the counter that I found out that if you don't get zucchini then they don't give you more broccoli they double down on the onions. When I asked why I wasn't told this when I was ordering, they basically gave me the "I thought you knew." Newsflash: sometimes people try new places. Anyway, I didn't not ask for my money back but did let them know that I would never eat there again. (Why would I? Who wants that many onions?) I was able to speak with someone who worked there while walking out. I repeated, their process is their process, just let the customer know so they can make an informed decision. She seemed receptive, so that was what the 1 star was for.

Extremely bland. Rice bowls usually have more than just rice in them. Not what I expected if they are cooking on a hot plate. Rice isn't bad, but it should have variety. The shrimp is really good, though. Sushi is cheap, so I expected unseasoned rice and spicy tuna roll to be made wrong, and they didn't disappoint. I wont be going back but if you like simple food you should enjoy it. Too American for my taste, was hoping for more authenticity.

The food is always awesome!!. The food is amazing every time we go, never a complaint. The waitress with the pig tails is always spot on with orders, she's pleasant and had a great attitude. However, The little brunette white chick with the tightest daisy dukes she could find has a horrible attitude anytime you go in there. I think she's po'd because she has a job, God forbid that. They should fire her, give the pig tailed girl a raise and let her train and manage the counter staff on how to interact with people.

Cold food, rude staff , don't go here.. My wife and I called in two chicken bowls and to sushi rolls. We get there twenty mins later pick up the chicken bowls and no sushi. They told us the sushi was coming out soon. 30 mins later I went to the sushi bar to talk to the chief. He didn't have a order for me. The ticket had gotten lost between the waitress and the chief. The bad thing is the waitress that I asked 6 times where my food was , was lying she never went and checked on the food. Another 20 minutes later we finally get the sushi and the chicken bowls were cold. They wouldn't even tell me the manager's name just asked me to write a note and they'll give it to him. I've called multiple times and keep getting put off I haven't been able to talk to the manager , just rude staff.

Mr.. Cashier cheated me out of 10 dollars. I gave her a 20 dollar bill and she gave me four dollars and some change back for a 5 dollar chicken bowl on Jan 17th 2015. I refused the bowl and got a 10 dollar bill in return.I will never visit this establishment again and I will tell my family and friends to boycott this restaurant from now on!!!!

Love/Hate. Lovvvve the food! Always on point! But the workers, it's always a ghetto white chick or country uppity bitch with a horrible attitude. Even the new chicks, same bad attitude unpleasent worker. EVERYTIME.

Food is Excellent! (Mikoto Express, Raeford Rd). I went for the first time yesterday and got the Chicken Terriyaki bowl...FANTASTIC! The food is like what you would get at Miyabi's but in an express form. You don't have to wait for a group of people to be seated to eat, just walk in and take out or you can dine in. They have a huge window from the dinning area to view the cook prepare the food on this large grill. Once again, it's like Miyabis w/out the wait. The fried dumplings were great also! I will definitely be back!

Food was awesome. They even hooked us up with soup for free.

I've eaten here for years, never a bad meal.
