Review Peking Restaurant - Fayetteville

This used to be my favorite place to come to when I was stationed in Fort Bragg. This will be the last time I come here. The service was terrible and the bunchan was super salty. We were the ONLY people there. They messed up our order and try to say that I didn’t order correct ( although I told her what I wanted and even pointed to her on what I wanted) . The server went missing most of the time we sat down to eat and when another server came out I addressed that I was missing a dish. Her response was “ I didn’t take your order so I don’t know” and walked away. Instead of finding our server she walked away. After our server finally came out I addressed the issue and she told me I didn’t order what I literally pointed to her. The other server who I addressed earlier with had the nerves to tell me I should’ve addressed it so they could fix it earlier!!! Total rip off because they only gave me a half order worth of noodles and refused to give me the other half that should’ve been the black bean noodles but forced to pay full price on a full order. I noticed that they treated the Korean couples who came in towards the end of our meal better when they walked in but wanted to be ugly about us asking for more kimchi. Save your money and go somewhere else no need to pour money into a business who treats as if your begging for free food. $80 that we spent could’ve been towards another restaurant who would appreciate the business

It's neither amazing nor horrible. The food for me is usually a hit or miss. Sometimes the food arrives terribly salty or intensely sweet. At the same time, the service is poor. The lady that often takes my family's order disappears for periods of time and only reappears to fill up our water towards the end of a meal. This may or may not have been an accident but a few times before the price of an item did not match the price on the menu and I've had to pay for receipt written price. Otherwise, the food is average and comparably better than some of the other Korean restaurants here in Fayetteville.

Like other 1 star rating, server and owner are both rude and careless and they don't seems to know what the hell is going on their resturant. Typical ignorant Korean duos. I tried fried sour pork and jajangmyeon, and fried sour pork is poured with 2x vinger and jajangmyeon had no season. I can't tell this is authentic chinese & korean food or they just don't care about the food at all. Don't go there, you will rob their money to use their own facial plastic surgery.

This is an unassuming place in the plaza shared with Grilled Ginger and LOL Bubble Tea. I decided to check this place out because it's has that hole-in-the-wall kind of appeal. I ended up ordering the Gun Man Doo (fried dumplings) for an appetizer and Jjam Bbong (Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup) for my main entree. The dumplings were on the greasy side with a noticeable amount of oil that seeped inside that was unappealing. The flavor overall was decent and if cooked better would have been fine. The Jjam Bbong itself was a hearty portion with the noodles, but could have used a bit more salt since the broth tasted watered down. There was not much seafood in it and primarily had kim chi and onions. As mentioned in the other reviews, the service can be hit or miss and can appear a bit aloof. After I finished my meal, I expected my check, but the waitress took my bowls back and there was no one in the restaurant for a good 15 minutes. I was a bit surprised by this and got a bit worried/frustrated and when someone else came out from the back they did not seem to care much. Nonetheless, this place does have that 'made at home by your grandma' touch that does make this place endearing, but the food and service could be improved upon.

Best authentic Korean food place for soups of any kind. Went with my husband last night and had Galbi-tang. It was super close to the one that we had when we went to Korea. I've tried several around fayetteville and none of them measure up. I know different cities and districts have their different spins on that soup but it tastes close to the soup that I had in Pyeongteak-si. Amazing! The server was also amazing and endured my beginner korean well. I would definitely go back!

Worst place I’ve ever been to in my life. Rude personnel. I don’t know if they discriminated against me because I’m Hispanic or what it was but I asked for a side a dish and they said they would not sell it to me. I wasn’t dressed bad or looked crazy either. I can tell you that I will never come here again. There arde plenty of good Korean restaurants in Fayetteville so don’t wast your time in this one.
