Ordered the chicken shish kebab tonight it was so good and they give you a lot of food. I will definitely go back to this place in the future.
Delicious! 10/10! Been going here for a decade and they never disappoint. Best Turkish food on the island.
I'm happy that I walked into this little restaurant randomly (I was shopping next door at the little Portuguese market)... This is a little, seemingly family-owned-type Turkish restaurant/mini-market. The staff was attentive and helpful and the food was delicious. The little market area (just a few shelving units) had some really interesting items as well. I tried out a black olive paste/spread and it was fantastic. Something we'll get often. So, for me, this is a great little neighborhood restaurant with delicious food and helpful staff.
Our favorite Turkish spot on Long Island !!!! Service is great, portions are generous family atmosphere.
One of the best Turkish spots in Long Island. Food has always been good never had a bad experience. My favorite is the mixed grill and the meal 100% fills you up. Other favorites of mine are the lentil soup, lamachun, and their chicken, the lamb and the beef. My go to is always the mixed grill with the couscous rice and the sauce it’s a good combination. The competition is fierce between angora, Konak, and Istanbul cafe. They all definitely use the same recipes. Their chicken, lamb and beef is always fresh and full of flavor and it’s not too chewy. But however they need to hire more staff because the service is very slow and they always take 45 minutes to an hour to make the food. Overall this place never disappoints and it’ll 100% fill you up. I suggest that you come hear and give them a try. Even though the food is very pricey it’s still worth it. Best part is that this restaurant is really close to my house. I could be coming here a lot but I don’t because of how expensive the food is. I recommend this place to my friends. And I give this place a 10/10.

I would recommend coming back
Kind and helpful staff, nice selection of wares, and excellent food.
Been coming here for 10 years and not once disappointed. My family's favorite restaurant!
Very nice and friendly place when I have a time to pass from near I definitely stop by even for Turkish threats. Very good and fresh food always
Very good to Excellent food quality. But its not on spicy side. The fresh baked bread is another big plus and its lentil soup tops all soups. The owner very friendly and nice. Always checks to see if everything is good.
First time ever having Turkish food and came back 3x in a week lol fresh clean delicious 10/10
Outstanding! People wage wars over lentil soup that tastes this good!! Lol. Everything was excellent, fairly priced and made within a half hour on a Friday night. We will definitely go back. Highly recommend!
My favorite spot for Turkish food. Always fresh, genuine and delicious! Whenever I’m in the area I stop by for lunch. Great portions for the price you pay. Can never go wrong with Konak if you’re craving Mediterranean.
I love the food here. I plan to try everything on the menu...They cook fresh bread everyday. I'd come here just for the bread... it's that good. I plan to take some photos of the place and food in the future to upload here. This place is a must. Also, the owner is really nice so expect a friendly atmosphere. Has a rustic setting so dress casual. You will feel like you're in someone's home.
By the way, I saw the owner/chef bringing the prepared food to the customer's table twice so it sure didn't look like self service to me. I just mentioned that because the reviewer before me said that it was self-service.
This place, like many have said, you wouldn't know about unless someone tells you, or you live near it. It's a small grocery store with mostly Turkish products with a small corner with the grill and food trays, 3 or 4 tables for a fast bite. Excellent food and flavors.
Small place with great food and super nice staff. Cooked to order Turkish food. Limited menu. Great bread! More a take out place but has a few tables for sure down. Counter ordering
Great Freshly cooked Turkish food. One of the best places i have seen from Florida to New York in its food quality and variety. Must try i must advise. I get my lunch or dinner from there almost everyday. Healthy food. Meats are the freshest always i saw anywhere. And the oven cooked breads. Everything made from scratch fresh. Just don't expect it to be like some 5 minute mcdinalds or wendy's thing. You can order to go but no deliveries i believe. The food is on mild side and not hot or laced with chillies unless you ask for it to be so. And has minimum salt in it if you got hypertension or other medical issues like that.
