Hands down some of the best pizza I've had in years. Met my buddy who recommended the spot and ate 2 pies leaving us w the most awesome food coma. Being my first visit, I can only recommend the Stinky Feet and Calzone pizzas. But I assure you, I will be back time and again to try the rest. Seriously delicious pizza! Hats off to staff as well. Engaging and friendly. Awesome restaurant! Cheers!

This Fanwood BYO pizzeria serves up a delicious thin crust, brick oven pizza with an excellent array of topping choices and combos. Specials and dessert choices looked great. Good service too!

I felt home (Italy)! Standing ovation for the pizza (finally a pizza that smells and tastes like the Italian pizzas) and 5stars for the lasagne (come quelle della mamma - like my mom's lasagne).

"The Queen" pizza with truffle oil was delectable. Burrata was perfect. Great spot for local wood fired pizza!

I never thought I would pay $11 for a pizzeria Caesar salad, but boy is Houdini's worth it. It's not a traditional Caesar, but it is exceptional. I don't know if it's the amazing dressing, the fresh grated cheese or the toasted pumpkin seeds; maybe it's that the sum is greater than the parts. Whatever, get yourself a Houdini's Caesar salad and enjoy. You're welcome.

Great addition to Fanwood. Staff is friendly and the food is amazing. Makes me feel like I'm in the city or down in Asbury Park for a meal. Our new favorite restaurant.

I never go out of my way to post a review, but for this I have to. I have been gluten free for almost 3 years now due to stomach issues. I’ve found pizzerias that make decent gluten free. But either the crust is too hard or too mushy. This gluten free pie is literally the best I’ve had, and let me tell you I have tried A LOT. The only thing I would do next time is ask it for a little more well done. But 10/10 recommend and will be my go to pizza place!

Pizza was pretty good, not great, but not bad.. Service was good as well. Menu is very limited, with focus on the pizza. With that supposedly being the star of the show, it could be a little better. Price was a little high but not terrible. 2 bucks for a small side of sauce (maybe 3 or 4 oz) was a little surprising considering we ordered 3 pizzas. It's probably more of a 3.5 star rating than a 4, but a 3 I think would be unfair.

NYC prices, but worth every penny! I've had a lot of gluten-free crusts, and this place's is one of the best! Normally they're brittle and can't handle the sauce - this had just enough chewiness. Speaking of the sauce - very well-balanced - not too sweet and not too tart. Half the pie went down easy. Big enough for two to share. The rocket salad was pretty good - I would've used a bit more dressing but if you add their in-house made truffle burrata - now that's what I call a rocket salad! To finish the meal, definitely go for the tiramisu! As authentic as it gets outside of Italy and they add a nice liquor to the espresso - so, so good! Will definitely be a staple in our local eats!

My family and I always love having dinner here. The pizza is delicious and it's a BYOB. We Enjoy bringing a couple of bottles of wine and to share with friends. Our favorite pizza is the calzon! pizza.

Being that I drive by this establishment every single day, I decided that it was time for me to stop in and give it a go. I arrived on a Sunday evening and was promptly greeted and asked to take a seat anywhere. Once at the table, our order for drinks was taken and we had time to go over the menu. Let me first start off by saying that I love pizza and i love brick oven pizza even more. Even bad pizza is good pizza. I knew walking in that Houdini was a bit different and not your traditional pizzeria. Every single one of their creations sounded amazing. We ended up going with the Habenera and the Guido BK. Now, these pies are on the smaller side compared to your traditional pizzas. Again, I already knew that going in since I did some research and read other reviews. Once the pizzas arrived at the table, the aroma hit me and I knew I was in for a treat. After sampling a slice from each, the first thing I noticed immediately was the quality of the mozzarella. This isn't your standard cheese. High quality stuff going on here. The flavors of all the toppings just melded with each other. I'll definitely be going back to give the other pies a try. FYI: If their creations aren't your style, you still have the option of getting a regular pie with your choice of toppings and Houdini Pizza is BYOB.
