The Running Iron Cafe

Great people although the prices could be lower based on it’s location in a rural community. The smoked prime rib breakfast however is out of this world. You won’t find a better meal in Churchill County regardless of price. and they are now offering delivery! PS: Buckaroo Burger is out of this world!

A true hometown spot. The staff at the Running Iron take time to know their customers. Always ready to adapt their (already wonderful) menu of smokehouse and diner faves. Worth becoming a regular, or stopping as you pass thru, just to feel like a regular. $5 breakfast burrito available at the drive up window is a popular pic. Indoor and limited outdoor seating. Try the smoked tri tip. My favorite fish is a little off menu, veggie omelet smothered in country gravy.

Friendly attentive server greeted us and took care of us. Knows the menu. Not annoyed by questions about gluten. Everything tasted like fresh Whole Foods! Served piping hot. I had the veggie omelet with sausage and home fries. Mark had the HUGE pancake with one egg and one bacon. All was perfect. It came out of the kitchen quickly as well. Nothing fancy. Casual decor. Easy to miss when driving down the road. What a great surprise during our COVID19 escape road trip from MO to CA and back!

This is one of my favorite places in Fallon. The cowboy burger is amazing. You definitely get what you pay for. The burger was huge. I could barely fit it in my mouth. The fries are arguably the best fries in Fallon and maybe even all of Reno. Super tasty. The waitress and cooks are amazing too! They are very kind and attentive. They don't have sweet tea on the menu but when I asked for it they made me a glass. That was one of the best sweet teas I've had. They cook also came out and asked if everything was good which was very nice. They also have daily specials which is awesome. I've been there twice and the specials where pulled pork and chili. I really love coming here is one of my new favorite places to come for lunch. I also like how you can still get breakfast during lunch. Thier pancakes are massive. Can probably get one order and eat it for breakfast and lunch! I would definitely recommend anyone who hasn't given Running Iron a chance to stop by and try it out.

If we had not been left to wait for three tables that came in after us to get our order taken I might have given five stars. The lady that brought out our food was delightful! Very friendly and made us feel like family. The portion sizes are ginormous so you most likely will need a to go box but that's a good thing. You definitely get your money's worth. The food was tasty and cooked to order. Over all a good experience and we will definitely return on our next visit to town.
