Review La Mission - Falcon

Amazing food and service! Visited for lunch on Saturday August 5, 2023. Our waitress was amazing! Fajitas were cooked perfectly, kids meal was plentiful, burrito machaca was also excellent! Great visit!!!

First time visit, went thanks to a friends recommendation. Glad she took us! As a Texas transplant, it's been hard to find good Tex mex. La Mission is absolutely delicious. The salsa hits the spot. They also serve a type of slaw that is so good. At a new Mexican restaurant, I like a variety, so I got a bean chalupa, beef taco, and beef enchilada. All it was fire. Loved it. The Enchiladas La Crema remind me of the elusive Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas that you can find in Texas. The drinks are fantastic! Great price too! La Mission is worth the drive from Colorado Springs. We'll DEFINITELY be back.

La Mission is a must try Mexican restaurant! From the sizzling fajitas to the flavorful tacos, every dish is made with high-quality ingredients and full of authentic flavor. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is vibrant and fun. The menu has a great variety of options, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices. Don't forget to try their margaritas and chips and salsa! This is the place to go for anyone craving delicious Mexican cuisine.

The Carne asada skirt steak fajitas were bomb. Sooo good. Was over all happy and delighted to find a restaurant with white queso. Our waitress was really helpful and friendly too. The fried icecream has Graham cracker as the batter. Different. The rice was great. The only downside we experienced was that bc it was "seat yourself", the table we sat at wasn't clean when we sat down. The waitress promptly cleaned it though. Update: Went back. Carne Asada steak fajitas were just as good as the first time. The meat is so tender and flavorful. Excellent quality. The chicken chimichamga was good (but I preferred the fajitas.) Ground beef enchiladas with red sauce were just what we were in the mood for when we want beef enchiladas. The red sauce did have a slight kick of heat. Salsa and chips were better this time. The salsa wasn't spicy and chips seemed better salted and fresher. The fried icecream we got in a to go container, but ended up eating the whole thing before we left. Ha. I was disappointed in the strawberry daiquiri. It tasted more like a pink icee freeze popsicle than a strawberry daiquiri. I couldn't taste the alcohol in it either. It wasn't bad, but not what I expect for a strawberry daiquiri. The waitress was attentive and helpful. We will keep going back. I did notice now under the "seat yourself" sign they added "not to sit at a dirty table". The first time we went the only table avaliable was dirty, so you take what you can get lol. This time all the booths but one was open, and I prefer booths.

It's a great American Mexican restaurant. It also has one of my favorite queso dips, but you'll have to make up your own mind about that. I really enjoy the dish "Arroz Con Pollo". Could have used a little more sauce, so I just added more queso. Otherwise delicious place.

Excellent people and service! Food is great, but I don't think they use masa, which makes it authentic. Generous portions!

The food as well as the atmosphere experience here was over the top. Service was speedy and our glasses never went empty not once. As far as food for price.. the food here is priced as it should be within market. I would like to thank the staff here for a great dinner visit and looking forward to coming to see them again soon.

I don't usually give out 5 stars, but Collin and the staff were amazing! My boyfriend said, "wow this place should be more popular...and easier to get to." It is a bit tricky to get to, but worth it. The frozen margarita was blended to perfection. The poppers were okay, but didn't easily have much flavor, they're fantastic with the salsa though! Free chips and salsa!

Carne asada fajitas and Enchiladas/Taco combination plate in the pictures. AMAZING FOOD! Thought it was going to be so-so, but it was outstanding - fajitas were very flavorful, enchiladas cooked well, taco was better than standard. Good margarita and fried ice cream as well. We will definitely be coming back here!!

The restaurant is clean. The staff are quick and friendly. The food was good. I wish the screaming kid on the other side would leave. Other than the screaming kid, I highly recommend this place .

Love this place, the food, the atmosphere, the hospitality. The owner, Mike Lucero, is always gracious and fun to be around. Love the pork green chili burrito and the tamale platter.

We've frequented here for years and today was our last time. The menu has changed, according to our server and cook, but the new menu isn't HERE yet... So the prices are all wrong, the advertisements for happy hour are wrong, but we should just pay the difference and let it go since the new menu isn't available to let us be aware of all the differences BEFORE we order. Happy hour margaritas are by person (buy one get one free), not by table, but my fruit margarita was FRESH fruit so it didn't count as a "fruit" margarita, so AFTER I ordered it wasn't honored for happy hour. My charro beans, which are listed as a regular side in the current menu, were an additional cost and also not disclosed to me. When I brought the menu discrepancies to the attention of the workers I was told they're sorry they forgot to tell me but the manager left and there's nothing they can do. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere, maybe where people are honest. The Loop is a consistently great place for tacos and margaritas! Try there instead!!

Love this place! The fun and silly banter with the staff makes it a place you want to return to! But I don't want to say too many nice things, because I don't want the place too crowded to find a table available. (Please understand, I have a serious need for excellent Mexican food with good service!) But I'll drive out of my way to enjoy a meal there any day it's possible!

Has been our go to place for the the last 3 years. Food is great. Service was beyond horrible. Going to have to try the other mexican place in Falcon

Having been raised in New Mexico, I'm used to a certain style. This is not New Mexican, it's Coloradan, but it is excellent. I've searched the entire county for the best Mexican food and it can be found at La Mission. I can't wait to get back in there.

My husband and I love this place! We eat here at least a couple times a month. We typically get the chicken quesadilla or a combo plate and everything has always been delicious!

This place fucking sucks!!! I ordered water and it was disgusting. Talked to the manger couldn’t even finish what I was saying asked for the manager to come to the table and he did and we advised the place sucks and he said dinner is on me and don’t come back here anymore and walked away!!!! . Do not eat here. Uncles food was cold. Waited forever for our food and to be served.

Excellent food at La Mission. I recommend it! Be sure to come hungry, you won't leave that way!

I love the cabbage salsa served alongside the regular salsa. Their grill menu is my favorite, especially the grilled tilapia with green chili! The vermicelli is so much like the vermicelli my late mother-in-law used to make. I eat here every chance I get!

I love this place. I go there every time I visit from New York. Their food is authentic and reasonably priced.

Awesome, have never been disappointed! They are not a chain restaurant and the flavor in their signature dishes is unique and wonderful.
