Very satisfied with the food and service. My girlfriend, now fiance, and I came here. I told them I wanted to propose to her here and they went above and beyond what I asked of them. Paul is an excellent sushi chef. He shaped our sushi into hearts for our special occasion.
Still amazing with the new opening. My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for years. I love how they give the tofu the perfect crisp and the flavor is well balanced. They also offer vegan sauce if you dont do fish. Their spice level does tend to be stronger than other places. We usually do a spice level of 0.5 or 1 here. Other places a spice level 2 tastes like no spice. So I appreciate that they add spice. If you can’t handle spice, just get a zero.
They played a Disney movie since there were kids dining in.
We had thai fried rice and pad thai and sushi 🍣 for our appetizer. Our entree was very good, thought the portion was slightly smaller than other similar restaurants. The sushi was good, not the best I've had. They were short on staffs so it took about 20 mins to get our entrees and drinks in but was attentive with refills. I would recommend it.
spicy 🌶️ !! the flavors of everything are very good here. i have been twice - first time got the massaman curry, second time the panang curry. both of these curries are on the sweeter side and served with a side of rice. i would just keep in mind that since it’s traditional thai some of flavors will contain a good amount of spice. if you’re a beginner start with a level 1. alongside the food the service is kind and the restaurant is relaxing & cute!
Amazing food and super friendly service. So glad this new place opened in our West Chester Beckett Ridge area. Very good food.
The staff is friendly. The food is excellent. I would go just for the jalapeno bomb. Our group got everything from appetizers, to sushi, noodles, and fried rice. Everyone left happy.
I'm surprised I haven't left a review for this place yet!
My favorite Thai place of all time. In fact only the third one I ever went to.
The food has never disappointed, and I have been going since they opened at their Fairfield location; anyone asking me for a restaurant recommendation, Sawasdee is always at the top of the list.
The food is all fresh, cooked to order, and packed with flavor. There hasn't been one thing I've gotten that I disliked, but my absolute favorites will always be the Chef's Special fried rice and Hot Spicy Basil Chicken (at their new location, this is now "Holy Basil Pork Stir Fry" or Pad Kra Pao Moo Sub). My mom is a huge fan of the Hot Pot, and a coworker if mine really loves the Singapore Noodles. The appetizers are scrumptious and I am hard pressed not to order one even when I've shown up not feeling as hungry. I live for her spring rolls and sauced chicken wings.
I love that Lek is always actively trying to add new specials. The jalapeño bomb, Chef's special rice, and Cincinnati rolls weren't always on the menu, but I am so glad they are. Occasionally she has stewed pork leg on special and it is TO. DIE. FOR.
To give you an idea of how much I love the food and the staff here: when they closed their Fairfield location, I set their Facebook page to "See First" so I could without-a-doubt make sure I could be there their opening day.
I had several friends in high-school work here, and Lek has gone so far as to give me a birthday gift one year when my mom and I came in for lunch that day. She is always spoiling her regulars, and for a long time, every time my parents and I would visit, she would let us taste what she was considering adding to the menu. This woman can literally cook anything she sets her mind to.
I an honestly so glad to know Lek and her cooking; she is one of the most kindest, hard-working souls on the planet. There was a time when she was recovering from a knee injury, and she was still back there dishing it out in her cast with her little scooter, God bless her 🥺
Eat here! Everything is good!
Tried this place out today with my kids and loved the food! The owner was very friendly. Nice outdoor patio and indoor dining spot. Drinks to come soon! I would highly recommend to anyone that likes sushi and Thai food!!
Great lunch spot. Do not let the strip mall location fool you. Enjoyed it much more than expected. Not your cookie cutter Thai/Asian food. The flavors and spices used were superior. Fresh rolls were a fun light warm up. The Dynamite roll was spicy. Pad Thai was awesome and fresh. The Pineapple fried rice was a fun suprise as it had an Indian flare and taste also. Recommended for sure.
The food was excellent. Got carry out pad se ewe, tom yum soup, and red dragon sushi roll.
Spice Level 3 (described as "hotter than jalapeño") proved accurate and perfect. Roll was big.
Only drawback was it took 30 mins for food to be ready. For what it's worth, they told me prior to the order that is how long it would be. That said, that meant my food was made to order and deliciously fresh.
Ordered in for lunch, and had the tofu pad thai, heat level 4 of 5, and a couple of spring rolls. The heat was just enough to "feel the burn", but not enough to bring on a sweat. They described the heat levels on the menu accurately. This was some of the best Thai food that I've had! Everything was cooked perfectly and the service was great. I'll definitely be back for more!
First time since they reopened and everything was great! Perfect spring rolls, red curry shrimp was amazing, yellowtail Nigiri was so good.
So happy you guys are back!
Went in to get a carryout order for the first time. Staff was super friendly. I ordered Pad Thai and when they asked me for my spice level I ordered the "Fire Breathing Dragon" (You can order 1-5 spicy, then there is FBD, FBD+, FBD++). I have to say - Fire Breathing Dragon level DELIVERS in every way. While most would find it too spicy (the staff warned me it's HOT), those who want that extra kick in their food are not going to find anything to complain about here! Everything tasted fresh, portion was perfect - I WILL be back to get the FBD++. Thank you Sawasdee Team - Lunch was awesome!
I LOVE the food here! I am never disappointed when I dine in here. I always order the Thai fried rice- level 2, spring rolls, and the jalapeño bomb.
This place seems authentic. I tried the $5 chive dumplings, which were the daily special. They were good, but I recommend eating them before eating something spicy as the spice flavor overwhelmes the more delicate flavors of the dumplings. I ordered a 4 of 5 spicy soup, which was fairly spicy. They aren't messing around, and they have several signs up that say no returns due to ordering something spicy. The hot chart in the menu is accurate, but a lot of people don't expect those things to be truly accurate. I could of handled a five, but I love spice. For .50 cents more, you can add even extra spice, which seems a little extreme, but hey, if you like it spicy....
The only reason I didn't give this place a five star review was the soup broth wasn't super flavorful.
What a delightful surprise! The food here is genuine Thai cuisine that has great flavor. Located in a strip mall, it is tucked out of the way and just does not look like a place where the food is so good. I highly recommend Sawasdee.
