Stars are due to service, Not very friendly when we arrived, pretty rude actually and service one refill before we were leaving.
If they are rude when you arrive just turn around.
Food wasn't terrible. Sushi grade was not the best for price. Did enjoy looking over the menu and ordering multi dishes. Must try Anko Karaage, and grilled Saba.
Kids liked it so it will be a debate to go again.

I truly enjoy coming to this quaint little place to eat. I've been coming to frequent this restaurant since college days. I've always loved the food and service has always been friendly. My latest adventure that I've tried here is their Kaiseki meal and I'm in love with it! Will go back to try the other set meals again!

A Japanese friend recommended this spot and it definitely did not disappoint. Japanese owned and operated. I knew this place was going to be good when I arrived for Saturday around noon and the place was packed. Everything from the appetizers, nigiri and Japanese entrees were on point. My friends and I loved the fatty salmon belly, ikura, uni, chutoro and yellowtail nigiri. The fish was buttery and at a premium price the uni and salmon belly were so worth it. The fish was so fresh and yummy we had to order a 2nd round. The tekka tuna don, katsu don hokke shioyaki teishoku and the katsu curry were delicious entrees. The flavors of the cooked fish and pork were on point.
They give you a fair amount of fish and food quantity overall here. We each spent over $50, but definitely felt stuffed and got our value. This is a great place to bring the family to enjoy some quality Japanese food. The servers were great in knowing the speciality items and freshest cuts. You get a great deal here considering the size of the fish and price for some of the cuts like chutoro.

Sushi & Sashimi Lunch. Delicious. They were speaking Japanese so this place is the real deal. I heard about this place back in the day when it opened up, and have been meaning to try it. It did not disappoint. I'm so glad that there are still some authentic Japanese owned and operated restaurants (that are affordable) still around the DMV.

This place is great. It’s small and has an authentic feel. The staff is very nice and attentive. I didn’t think the sushi was particularly outstanding, but it wasn’t bad by any means. The tonkatsu ramen had the most delicious broth I have ever tasted. The chashu pork and egg were both somewhat plain, but even so, I would say that it was some of the best ramen I have ever had. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice, cozy meal.

Although they seem to not be open when I’m in the area, when the stars align my goodness it’s magical! The communication is also something to keep in mind- I came in and said I wanted sushi and they thought that meant a specific dish which as you can see in the photo is delicious! Well, maybe you cannot see the deliciousness but trust me, it was fresh and delectable. Also, the hot tea was free! Small thing but still.

Decent food terrible service.
We ordered our food and other than it being dropped off we did not see a server at our table for the remainder of the meal. We ran out of drinks with no refill, wanted desert but no one stopped by. I eventually had to go wait at the front area near the entrance to ask for the check.
The tables around us had several different servers stop by asking about refills and more. We won't be back but hopefully if you go, you will get better service.

Authentic Japanese Izakaya. Must order: Salmon Chazuke, grilled jumble shrimp, fried baby octopus, chef sashimi….
