A group of us had the $14.95 chef's special all you can eat buffet. It's not really a buffet... it's plates brought out to eat family style; the plates are the chefs choices. We had pork tenderloin, mole enchiladas, tequilas, chicken fajitas, fried shrimp, chicken quesadillas done on pita bread and I'm sure, more. Dessert was chocolate cake. It was delicious. We kind of rolled out.... it's an excellent value and lots of fun. Nothing wasn't good. Only posting the cake pic as food has people and I don't want to breach privacy. Go for it; you won't regret it.

This place is crazy good and comfortable. My pozole tasted just like my boyfriend’s Mexican mom had made it! The food is served beautifully with large portions and not too spicy unless you ask for spice. I highly recommend this place to anyone. The flautes, Nachos and Pozole are a must.

One of the warmest hidden universes in all of Fairbanks! Even better if you get street parking right out front! This place feels like Santa Fe in the early 90’s meets disco , disco disco! Chips taste like they were just made and are served warm with a mild salsa. First basket is free! Next basket is $3.50. I ordered the Chile rellanó. This place has been around for probably close to 40 years, yet they moved when the nearby bridge was built. They moved here. Delicious amazing awesomeness!

Excellent hole in the wall with an informal ambiance. If you’re looking for a gem to just sit down and get some good Mexican comfort food, look no further!
We were visiting over Christmas and New Years and choose this place on multiple occasions. The fajitas are generous servings, perfectly seared and all ingredients are crunchy and fresh. My husband had the Pozole soup which was rich and full of both flavour and ingredients. Our warmest compliments to the chef who knows how to balance heat, texture and flavour!
The constant server/bartender Dejan (who seems to work all the time 😁) is always friendly no matter how much there is to do. He made sure to keep us informed if any dish was going to be delayed and was overall very service minded and professional.

Honestly the best "Mexican" restaurant I've had in Fairbanks. I am Los Angeles raised, and have not actually enjoyed any other sit down Mexican restaurant in town other than this place -- El Ranchero. Friendly staff, great margaritas, not overly sweet, average pricing, and good meal. I would take tourists here and would go here again myself if I was craving Mexican food.

A surprisingly good restaurant, great atmosphere, friendly service, excellent drink selection (the Cadillac margarita is awesome). The beer selection is also decent on tap. Certainly stop by and check it out.

So delicious! They have specials which are really good and surprisingly affordable. The service is excellent — our waiter and bartender was very good. They have mezcal which can be hard to find. A real downtown gem.
