I tried out this place out for the first time last week. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone wanting to try out some great food. I tried them calzone grinder. It was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was also great. We got to speak with the owner and she was very polite and informative. The owner also make a homemade lemonade and orange juice. It was amazing. The only down side is that they have very limited hours/days of operation. I hope this will change in the future.
Found this gem of a place when I took a class in the area a year ago. I went in and said I had never been there before. Jen recommended The Italian Stallion. A cheese calzone, topped with cheese and pepperoni cooked, then cut open and stuffed with Italian cold cuts like an Italian grinder! I ordered it along with their homemade lemonade. It was fantastic!!! I regularly make the 35 minute drive back it was that good, often on my motorcycle when the weather is nice. Super friendly staff and great fantastic food.
What a place to go! Hidden gem. Fantastic food, fantastic service. Great people!! Will for sure be back!!!
My Aunt used to live on 165, right behind the place, first house on the right on 165, and was always here on the wknds in the summer. Distinctly remember the PAC-MAN game that was built into the table in the old dining area. But SO happy to see it still open 35 years later and the food is amazing, Every single time. Consistency is key. Nothing has changed since 1985,
So glad we stopped to get a bite at Little Country Pizza. We had the pleasure of striking a conversation with one of the owners, Jen. She was so friendly and passionate about their restaurant. My daughter and I ordered BLT and Italian sub and paid it with there own freshly squeezed lemon (bottled) and sat to enjoy it all. These sandwiches were bountiful and extremely tasty. My daughter ate her whole 8 inch Italian sub and gave Jen and her husband a thumbs-up. And, the lemonade was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend y'all stopping by to get some delicious eats when in their neck of the woods. We sure can't wait to eat there again. Thank you for you hospitality, Jen.
This place is awesome! Very good food, very reasonable prices, full bar, good craft beer, good environment… will definitely come back any time I’m headed this way!
They have something called the “Italian stallion” - it’s an Italian calzone with pepperoni and cheese on top like a pizza - you want this. One of the best things I’ve had to eat.
Stopped in for a quick bite on my way through. A well decorated, inviting interior matched the aura of their house made baklava, pressed lemon juice, and house made sweet tea. I was greeted by the owner, who was hard at work in the back when I arrived early in the afternoon. I ordered a pizza and of course a little baklava, both of which I consumed before I could take a picture... delicious!
The owner of his place is a rockstar!
We had a party of 7, she ran the register, bar, takeout, delivered drinks. She was genuine with the customers and the food was top notch. She even made time to check on us. Highly recommended.
Little Country Pizza in Exeter is absolutely fantastic. The owner Jen came out and we talked for a bit before ordering our lunch. She was very engaging and courteous. My wife and daughter had been here before and raved about the food. This restaurant has plenty of seating at the bar and takes all around. There are 5 TV's at the bar to watch any game/ sporting event. The bar is fully stocked too. We had an Italian grinder, chicken cutlet calzone and their famous Italian Stallion pizza sandwich.
My daughter loved the Italian grinder- said it was delicious. The chicken cutlet calzone came with a side of marinara(which was very good). The Italian Stallion was out of
this world. It's an Italian grinder but with a pepperoni pizza topping. You have to try this sandwich. I ordered the large so I could take this home and Jen said that she warns it up in the toaster oven for her kids before school. What a great idea this was so I put the leftovers in the oven for about 15 at 350 and oh my it was even more delicious. Try the Little Country Pizza in Exeter- you won't be disappointed.
SOOO GOOD! And the service is super friendly. Will be back soon :)
We had the Italian Stallion calzone and it was awesome! I would have given 5 stars if it was just a little less expensive. Also, next time I get it I'll ask for some marinara sauce on the side for dipping. I'll definitely get it again!
Great place. Has a Italian stallion 😋so good. Chicken fingers generous portion took some home & crispy onions rings. Homemade lemon aide and fresh brewed ice tea refreshing. Definitely going back again
I have been to this place my whole life and this place continues to amaze me with there food , especially there pizza. Every time I get it it is incredible. I haven’t made a review before but I am now . It’s the best piece of my childhood I could ever ask for. All I know for sure is if this place closes for good that I will never have better pizza then them.
Had a great lunch here while I was in the area. It’s a unique place it seems and they do take out or dine in. The restaurant space itself appears fresh and is very clean. The staff was super friendly (told its family run) and the food really good. Overall definitely a place to stop at if you’re in the area looking for Lunch.
Just moved to the area, food is pretty good. I didn’t ask for my Italian grinder cooked and expected it cold, but no biggie. The portions are big. Tons of fries. Forgot the salad with the burger (the burger is giant), but things happen. The falafel was ehh, over fried, but everything else was good and the staff was friendly. The place is nice on the inside and there is plenty of parking. We will go back.
First time going recommended by a friend. I was told the brisket was good but this sandwich with the sauce is an absolute chef kiss plate. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by smiling faces and a good atmosphere. It's not in my neck of the woods but I'll be coming back for this brisket 10/10
The owner and his family put a lot of there time heart and soul into running the place which shows and I respect and appreciate good job keep up the good work.
My husband had lunch here a couple of days ago and told me he ordered a calzone and it was the best food ever so we went there today and he was right.we found out they make everything homemade which makes it taste awesome. And the owners were very friendly and service was great. I would definitely tell others and go back again.
