Decent Filipino specialty foods. If you are up early and wanna skip the fast food chains then this is your spot if you are in the area. They open at 5:00am. Just know this is a small shop. I wouldn’t plan to dine in if more than 2people.

Nice selection of hot food, fried snacks and baked goods. I only had the turon, or banana lumpia, which I guess is what Hawaiians call it. The exterior was great, really crispy with a sweet caramel coating, but the plantain inside was dry and kinda hard. My family got the 3 item combo plates and were pretty happy with how everything tasted, even the dinuguan, or blood stew.

Home on a visit and decided to go to Golden Coin. I had been there many times and normally the food is super fresh and good. The service was good but the food was dry. I had pancit, Louganisa and pork. Thankful tho.

Still in the Cali time zone so finding something open in Ewa Beach before 6am wasn’t a fast food chain was awesome! The ladies helped me order and were super nice. Food was great. The shop was clean and organized. Will visit several times before leaving Hawaii ❤️

The hot food is just ok, you could get better filipino food elsewhere. I usually come here for desserts or breads...the hot pan de sal is so light and fluffy (especially as soon as they hand it to you) you could shove a whole one in your mouth and its 3.50/dozen!

It's Filipino food. The people who work there tend to be Filipinos, as the other reviewer wasn't quite able to sort out. They may speak to each other in their native tongue, but they're friendly people. The food here is highly ethnic, but there some tame dishes that won't quite widen your eyes like... Dinuguan (a.k.a. chocolate meat) which is a stew of sweetmeats made in pigs blood. For the uninitiated, I'd suggest things like Tocino or Longanisa. That's a type of sweet pork and one of the most delicious sausages on earth.

If you're looking for good filipino food for reasonable price, Golden Coin is the place to go. Love their empanada and banana que and Sago at gulaman drink.
