This place is Top-notch. Blue collar type of joint the chicks who run the show do one hell of a job. Horseradish and cottage cheese went perfectly with the ribeye. It was a proper meal returning from the redwoods.

Local pub and burger/steak joint. Love it! Brittany and the gang are the best. Go grab a burger and watch the game or chat with your bro/gal.

Met a couple of your bartenders in my neck of the woods on their travels. Amazing, fun, personable, these were great people to meet!!! Can't wait to visit this place in person!!!

Born and raised in Eureka, but never knew this little gem existed! I was 18 when I moved 100s of miles away may be a reason. So my daughter and son in law took us for lunch and it was FANTASTIC! Best filet mignon I have ever eaten! Bar tender, server, cashier all in one was fabulous! Can't wait for our next visit to Eureka!

Had an excellent rib-rye steak with baked potato and salad. Very generous portions, $35. The menu has a lot of entrees including fish and chips and porterhouse steak etc. Funky old time bar atmosphere with horseshoe shaped counter and a few tables. The bloody mary was also good. Worth checking out!

It's a dive bar with really great steaks! Good drinks, great people and a delicious salted caramel brownie. Only a couple of tables, so expect to sit and eat at the bar unless you get there early or get lucky.

Not much to look at from the outside and very casual setting, which was just what I was looking for. Not a big place and most of the seating is at the bar, where most everybody was eating dinner. Good steak and super service.

Incredible grass-fed steaks in a bar with fresh draft drinks and the most wonderful vibe!
We came in on a Sunday evening after a recommendation from Carter House Inn; our party of 4 got the ribeye steaks and WOW.
AMBIANCE:
Our party of four grabbed some open bar seats and we were acknowledged immediately for our drink orders and also kindly pointed out the chalkboard menus for our food choices. We all went with the ribeye steaks which came with a salad or soup and also a side of fries or baked potato or onion rings. The U-shaped bar was very cool and the screens on the walls showed either the games that were on, or something easy to watch like TheChive TV or Family Feud.
FOOD:
The flavor of the steaks are amazing and deeply meaty, the texture is tender and if you go for the gorgonzola butter, honestly takes the steak to the next level. If you're not a fan of blue cheese, the included horseradish sauce cuts through the fattiness of the steak if you need it. We chatted with Ariel and she mentioned that the meat is cut in-house which may affect the quality and hey, if so it really does matter.
The doneness of the steaks were perfect. It's rare (ha) to have a place make a true medium rare and this place certainly does it right. Honestly one of the best steaks I've had and I've had Ruth Chris or Nick and Stef's - this place wins every time!
SERVICE:
We were traveling with folks from out of town and everyone was super kind and welcoming. Ariel helped describe how our steaks came from and really made us feel at home on top of our flavor adventure.
PS: My stoic father in law is really big on health foods so when he found out everything was grass-fed he ate with gusto and was really impressed with the taste too. So thanks for representing American steak, AA Bar & Grill!
Awesome. Would love to come again and will recommend to friends in the area for sure.

My girlfriend and I had steak dinners at the AA Bar on July 4. The dinner was good but fairly pricey. The steaks were large and juicy. My girlfriend ate about half of her steak. The dinners came with soup or salad and baked potato, onion rings or french fries. I recommend ordering gorgonzola butter (melted on the steak) for $3 extra.
